As a Brazilian, every time I hear this song, I don’t think about a studio recording! I imagine a bunch of buddies, drinking, having fun, their families around, and making some good noise together!! It always brings me a good vibe!!
I used to wake up to this song back in 81 when radio played it alot - Then i lost track and found it today again for over 30 years - Nice little ditty makes you hum it all day.
Last time I saw this video I was like 7 and it was 1984, and it’s been stuck in my head ever since. I decided to finally look it up and it brought back memories of childhood and going to the lake as a kid back the good ol 80’s.
Actually Steve Miller had nothing to do with it and was pissed about it. He didn't want to be part of thr MTV crowd even after Abracdabra. He hated that video too.
@@chiefdonald9554 hell yeah, all the time...when MTV first started there weren't many videos to fill a 24 hour/7 day week so you got to see a lot of videos repeated through the week all the time, until the artists discovered they could get more exposure from getting them played on a 24 hour video channel....
I remember seeing this on MTV back in the day when MTV was cool. Nowadays anybody who still watches MTV and the silly shit they air might as well be a straight jacket and a padded cell!
I agree; the song is also not included or mentioned in the Steve Miller "Welcome To The Vault" box set. I like this song much better than "Abracadabra."
Never played it live cause he hated the entire video idea so much he purposely shelved the entire album. No song from Circle of live has ever been played live.
Such a great classic SM song but they ruined it by trying to cozy up to the MTV crowd. Steve should have been driving the Vette not some two bit Hollywood B movie hairboy.

This song is SO underrated, it makes me ill! It also saddens me that I can only hit the 'like' button once!! I mean, that bass, come on!!

Great memories of HBO video jukebox in the early 80's .. God I miss those days
A forgotten gem from exactly 40 years ago, November 1981. Thanks for uploading this video.
Jorge, this needs thousands more views. Thanks so much posting. What tone Steve has on this!
Dig this even more than when I was a kid. Great tune!
I never knew this song had a video

Neither did I. This was another Top-40 hit for the Steve Miller Band, and it’s not heard on the radio. It’s criminal, that’s what it is. Cute video.
Happy 36th Wedding Anniversary Margie. You were always the 1!! I told you so.
Hearts so real.. I love you so…. Brian
Loved this vintage🚘🚖 cars.
Great 🎶 song 🎵 ❤
I wonder what these two corvette driving lovebirds look like today 41 years later….

Thanks very much for this. Very cool. I appreciate this a lot. :)
awesome song, it is me.
Would love to see Jeff Lynne produce a Steve Miller Band album!
No! Love Lynne but Miller doesn't need orchestra. It might be nice for Stevr to re-record some of his lesser know song with Lynne
Buddy Holly would have been proud of Steve’s guitar playing in this song.
Gorgeous reverb! (Is that Serena?)
.
GOOD👍STUFF!
Why is this song not on the Steve Miller cd box set?
When MTV used to be good, only played videos.
Now it glorifies teen pregnancy, drugs, wokeness
Why this song is not in there greatest hit album
Oh well thankyou
Who is the woman in this video, I've tried to find out but nothing
8/22/20 views 11.724 like 151 & hate 3 enjoy !
Great song by the SMB, but never played live when he performs.

...good ol' early MTV...cheesy vid😕...
Wow. Great song. Great Musician. But the video. I’ve seen movies from the 1920’s that look better than this.
