I used to be that one, but I got a Yamaha xj650 for 300 and haven’t regretted a moment. It’s so much fun working on the bikes

In sweden we make our mopeds faster and run from the Police, sometimes we Success sometimes not.
We do the same here in Finland :), its all good until the motorcycle police pulls up. Then you gotta pray your airsal 70cc doenst break :DDD

I run a motorized bicycle kit but i still enjoy these videos because its like a cheap diy trailing moped that i made.

Reminds me of the old fishing joke: My wife said she's going to leave me if I go fishing again..........I'm going to miss her.
Heck, I'm 54 and started dirtbikes at 53. Alot of fun but it wasn't fulfilling my itch to ride a motorcycle. So, I'm about to get my first street bike.
Usually it's the ladles that have a problem with motorcycles. How did the conversation go with him after that week?
Two weeks into owning my own bike: 658 miles. Can’t wait to ride again tomorrow.
*for the record: Vulcan S owner here, that thing does everything you want it to do on a daily commute. It’s a Mazda MX-5 with half the number of wheels and less than a quarter of the weight. A fun daily rider.
Never touched a bike other than a friend’s ninja 250 and the msf’s street 500. Annnnd I just bought a new cbr650r and two days later I’m at like 200 miles 👌

No longer a bikeless bro. Just bought a ninja 250 and road tripped it like 150 miles my first time on public roads. Def dropped it twice on the way home (parking lot laydowns). Im pumped.
Congrats Ninja Bro
When I 1st got my bike I dropped it with the steering locked. I immediately thought I destroyed my bike when the handlebars wouldn't turn.
My first day riding my 250 I got in waaay too big of a hurry and forgot to put down the kickstand. I was on a concrete slope leaning her over and by the time I realised it was too late. I ended up doing a backwards somersault. XD if anyone would have seen it they'd have laughes their asses off lol
Lakefern hey 2 drops isn't bad. I've dropped my bike twice already in the last month. I'm not a new rider either just had an 8 year hiatus. one was from stalling out off-road.
also some 250s have more power locked away. a stage 1 intake and exhaust along with a fuel mapping adjustment can increase power by %50 on Honda's little bikes.
it's not even about the power but engine behavior. it'll make it a bit sharper an aggressive.
I don't suggest doing that right away, it won't be as forgiving.
Update: crashed twice on highway 1 in north cali. History repeats itself. Both minor so theres that but kinda funny still.
Bikeless bro here, but god damn am I trying to change this
F, even a dirt bike for like a grand is better than no bike

You missed me. Super broke bro. Started on a ZX9 because it was the best deal on craigslist, $650. Im now on my 4th bike and so far none of them have run when I bought them. I've kissed 160mph on old tires and bad wheel bearings and lived to tell the tale. Live by the budget, die by the budget.
omg 160mph is too fast!!!! you risk insta death over 100 on two wheels
Jesus touched me one day. I didn't believe it myself, but after a while, realised it was Jesus! This went on for months, and I felt safe with Jesus.
Turned out it was this weird guy who lived down the road.

I mean, I have a 75 rd250 that's literally halfway taken apart and needs new everything
Broke and living in a country where everything is expensive AF. Spent 2500 USD in my second bike and it's a 150cc... Go figure.

Dirtbike starter dude here 😂 as a 14 year old who's been riding for years I'd definitely recommend starting on a dirtbike. If you can let out the clutch on a blazing race bike without ripping up the grass in your front lawn then you've got amazing clutch control 😂 takes practice. Learn tons of skills on them
Get a street bike yet?
Beginner on a 1976 Honda CB500T. Most accurate thing I've heard. I will say though, learning to rebuild carbs, bleed brakes, replacing a throttle, cleaning out a petcock, rebuilding a clutch, and replacing the switches has taught me a lot about these beautiful machines. I will eventually buy another bike to ride consistently, but I will always keep my current bike around.
i started on a 76 CB400 i feel you
74' cb750 four here! Spent a month fixing it before I could use it 😂
When I was selling my CBR600RR I had a Chad ask me if it was automatic. 😭😂
Yoooo, I died laughing so hard I spit my fcking soda out. This has to be a fcking joke! Seriously, did he say this?!
Yes, this is a joke. Exaggerated to all hell.
Haha haha I’m a Chad and I’m watching this having never ridden a motorcycle. I wouldn’t make this mistake... I hope ;)
I hope you didn't sell it to him
@@josescheuren5895 I didn't, however he probably purchased some dumb shit anyway
@@alexanderdace1890 You can visit him at the local cemetery. Chad went and bought a R1 because he didn't need your 600 anyway. Made it less then a mile before he ran into a wall at full throttle.

I bought a motorcycle last year and I got a motorized bicycle after the fact.
I love my motorcycle, but I also have a shit ton of fun on my motorized bike. If I need to make a quick trip to the bank or post office I just hop on the bike and go, no need to completely dress down into gear, check the oil level, warm the bike up, light check etc just for a 5 minute run.
Plus you can take the bikes places you can't even take dual sports, at least legally anyway. Parks, bike paths, sidewalks, train tracks etc
See a cop or pedestrian you don't want to bother? Just pop the clutch and hit the killswitch and pedal by
Supercharging the lawnmower engine next ? :)
2001 600 katana is my first bike and I absolutely love it, took me months to breath in the courage to buy one and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve enjoyed learning on it and can’t wait to test my skills after getting the basics down. Thanks Noob for the videos, they have helped out greatly.
I've been doing a ton of research on bikes and you so far have been the greatest help. I'm saving up for the Ninja 400!

I'm the dirt bike guy and it felt good when you said "come at a humble approach" Because I am, I've done an enormous amount of research... and I still haven't bought my bike. But thanks for all your videos they help 🤞🏻👍🏻
I think you’re the researcher guy
I’m a 650 starter, you got it half right, yes it was a good decision but it is definitely not the only way 😂 I can’t wait to get a 1000, but I have to wait until I get my full license (Australia has restrictions) love your videos, keep it up 👍
1st bike 650cc honda nighthawk used. (Lived in western Colorado, I was going to start with a 250cc, but my class/instructor reccomended I start with at least a 500cc due to my size (5'8"/tall/long enough legs/strong enough for 500/650cc, his opinion ) and in several places the 70mph I-10 interstate, is the only choice through the canyons) I loved that bike. Then the 750cc honda shadow, used, then the Yamaha v-star, used, now my Harley Road King, February 2019, used/looked almost new,
I tried so hard not to show how much I wanted that bike, permagrin! I tried to ask intelligent questions, it was my happy valentine's gift (February purchase), happy birthday, merry Christmas all rolled in one to me!
I think I started riding in 2004. My Honda's only usually needed tires and oil changes, I actually worked on my vstar, and we will see if my current (dream) bike talks me into an Indian or back into a Honda
I started on a second-hand 250cc cruiser that could barely hit 90, got sick of that after a few months and bought a brand new 650 because it's the biggest thing learner riders are limited to in Australia.
I've come to the conclusion it's the perfect learner's bike, and there's no serious need to "upgrade" beyond it unless you're after a particular look/style (i.e., heavy cruisers or stylish naked bikes). On a learner-restricted 650, you can already filter to the front of traffic and leave everything in your dust as soon as the lights go green, hit 100km/h in a matter of seconds and maintain it for hours, and do quick bursts far beyond that to overtake trucks or whatever. If you can't even come close to making full use of a 650cc learner bike's full power without Vicpol impounding your bike, why buy the 1000cc version?
I’m a Hornet 919 starter
I'm a scooter dude. I only care about getting to and from work and school at a low price 😂
I'mma scooter dude as well, but I can't get a motorcycle license, so, next best thing and he's right they are fun to ride...I put a BBK in mine and some CVT parts and it'll do 45 WOT, takes a freaking mile to get there tho... I just need a dependable ride, not trying to kill myself lol tbh tho I've always dreamed of having a gsxr 600 😎
Pair of shoes is cheaper.
If you want a motorcycle style scooter you could look at a dongfang 200sst I want one of those and I have to be 14 I’m currently 12 but I’m gonna try and get one of those once I’m of age if I can it will be my starter so let’s see
I got a Grom so I’m pretty much a scooter dude to 😂
Whats up scooter dude!
Yammie, I bought a Yamaha R1 as my beginner motorcycle... BEST mistake of my life!
but did you die?
So did I! On a completely unrelated note, if anyone is looking for a bike there's an R1 that I just put on craigslist.
Joseph Eriqat with 5 miles on it lol
I started on a busa
my friend went from a 250 ninja to daytona 955i. i started on a 1983 honda shadow 750, and my other friend started on the same 250 ninja but went out and bought an 07 zx6r the next month. we r a strange group to see riding around.
You nailed it YaNo!! I did all the research, watched all the videos and went with a used DRZ400S on Craigslist. 2 teeth up on the front sprocket and was hitting 95 on the SoCal Hwys, hitting every trail, long rides, hooligan hit dirt/street. 36k mi./3yrs. That was it. I just got the'21 SV650. Love and Learning it.
Thanks Yammie for all the info and inspiration.
Former rider here....started on a 305 Dream, sold it to get married, bought a 650 Savage, sold it cuz it wasn't fun over 50mph, now shopping for something lively, fast enough to get on the freeway, light enough to pick up, nimble enough to go to the grocery store, cool enough to park in my carport. Haven't figured out what that is yet though so here I am. Kept my endorsement all these (50) years just in case.
Mt-07 or mt-09
I am a bikeless bro, but I'm currently saving money, my boss at work has an 06 ninja 250 she'll sell me for 800 bucks. It may be just a 250, but for less than a grand it'll be my way into motorcycle ownership.
One step at a time my friend.soon 200mph will be yours.

I remember when I had a 300 👨🦳
Poopy Face Tomato Nose I had that problem I have a nice 2014 ninja 300 for not even 3 months and I got bored of it (keep in mind I was barley riding cuz of the weather) but anyways I sold it lost a couple hundred cuz I dropped it but I’d say it depends, I’m happy I started on a 300 tbh because it gave me good lessons and was a forgiving
If your in the North America the 250 Ninja is carbureted which isn't necessarily bad but makes life a lot more complicated. There's gonna be a hell of a lot more maintenance on bikes like that. Not to mention the handling of the choke and warming before going, it isn't as easy as a fuel injected

I'm a semi scooter dude. I also have a 300cc cruiser that I share with my dad, but scooters are the best.
I can drive it maxed out all day, carry a dead dog in the storage under the seat, have my 5 friends on the back and get 140 mpg.
It also leans well enough before any parts start to scrape as scooters have better ground clearance.
Scooters are the answer for practicality, budget and daily usability. You can buy one for the fraction of the cost of a bike and they normally weigh close to 200 pounds. You can also max it out in a month of use and do all sorts of speedy stuff without putting yourself in too much risk.
Bikes may be fun to ride but the lightness (predominantly) of the scooters make them the most some of the most brilliant two wheeled motor cycles that you can get. And you'll have just as much fun on them as you would in a full blown liter bike.
This channel is always fun to watch. I've been in the saddle for over 30 years and ride a heavily modified 1999 FireBlade putting down 165 HP at the wheel but still remember what it was like getting my left leg over the saddle the first time. Keep making videos and keep that right wrist twisted.
Jeff Gatt lololol 165 hp is 600 cc territory.

@@arthurvanparijs6121 yeah, vespa are fun af, even stock!
I have my dear stock 50special wich i got inherited from my grandpa wich is a true work of art and then my modified pk XL-n wich had a engine block swap to be able to have a 4th gear and to put in a 130cc cylinder since with a 50s block you can get in ""only"" a 105cc, drives beautifully and reaches 115+ kmph quite easily
Tbh if you want more you can just buy a bike, you dont need more than that to have fun on a vespa and still i sometimes prefer the stock one!

My brand new R3 just cracked 4000. I bought it in September.
Bought a KTM 690 SMC-R 2020 beginning of May and im at 2000 lol.
Bought an FZ09 on a Friday night and put 300 miles on it by Monday
Got mine in September too, ended up breaking my arm in November, had 2 months out and still got 3k on it😂😂 Mine’s a work horse though, use it for everything...
Put 2k each on both my bikes within the first month having them. I’d be out riding and planning to head home and I just couldn’t bring myself to to do it 😂😂
Just bought a cbr600rr as my first bike 3 weeks ago and put almost 4k miles lol
I’ve had my Mt03 for a little over two weeks now. I still love it and she almost has 1k miles on her. 😊 I am loving this machine.
I always love when I see people going "Don't buy a 300, you'll be bored of it in a week and want more"
Well unless you are 80 years old on your death bed does it really matter? Or unless you have a phobia of selling something you bought? Which is it? You have your whole life to ride, why potential cut that riding life short just because you are too proud to get a smaller CC bike. Not to mention most people that say that couldn't ride that 300 worth shit and only ever went on long straight roads. Its always funny to see guys on 600 or 1000cc bikes get passed by little bikes cause they don't know how to ride windy roads.
I’m def the research guy
@J G That's where I'm at right now.
Definately also the research guy... And almost the 650 guy. Going back and forth between the Honda cb300r, which has as much power as I currently should have, and a SV650, which has as much power as I'll ever want.
Same. Mostly cause at the moment in the UK you can't book a theory test without an 8 week wait. Can't even book your full licence course without having theory. On the upside I know exactly what bike I want and know it's specs top to bottom lol.
Same. Been back and forth between the 2020 Ninja 400
R3
CBR500R
Got the 400. Why?
More powerful than the R3
Lighter than the CBR500R

I started on a 350 Honda, had several, went to a chopped, hardtail BSA 650, looked cool,,was a pain to drive. Went back to the small Hondas. In "02 I acquired a 1200 Yamaha Venture. Rode it like a true squid and ended up breaking my neck twice on it. Now, (16 years later, I'm on a Honda Shadow VT1100. Because of the lapse in time between my current ride and my last, I consider myself something of a noob of sorts.I watch your videos all the time and have used quite a few of your tips. They've helped me to be a better rider. Thanks Yammiemiester.
Love the video dude. Very informative and funny too. Chuckled at the vape joke as i use a vape
What up! Check out the Honda CB650R, Kawasaki Ninja 400, and DRZ-400 I’m giving away FOR FREE: www.yammienoob.co
Yammie Noob you don’t exactly make new riders sound cool and could definitely discourage new riders ( research biker ) that are coming to the channel just because of the title of the video. 350cc scrub, something like that can definitely shift people into another direction and make them buy something they can’t handle. 600cc may be good but most bikes are at 600cc and ( this is my opinion ) 350cc is perfect for beginners. It’s not too fast nor slow. As long as you know how to work the bike, it shouldn’t matter what “cc” you have. I know you love making jokes about new riders but try and keep it a little more conservative when it comes to the guys who did their research.
I am 16 years old and i have a moped. It has enox pipe on it but it has restricting CDi box so rpms stop lile little over 8000. It goes like 58-59 km/h. (Law fot mopeds in frinland top speed is 45 km/h, but like every one brakes it xD felx
@@xdeadbreadx936 I got a 300cc as a beginner bike and I love it :)
I don’t own a bike

I never comment on videos but this was great. I’ve spent over 15 years pining over buying my first bike and convincing friends and family members how cautious and defensive I am when it comes to driving. I’ve spent countless hours, days, months, years doing research to find out what the best starter bike would be for someone like me (the researcher). I finally did it! I checked the web everyday for the MRSC classes to open up and booked one on March 20th, 2020. I made up my mind that a Ninja 400ABS would best suit me. I was so close I could taste it. I walked into the dealership on a rainy cold day in February to admire and price the bike I wanted. As I spoke with the salesman on my ZERO experience riding (aside from a 5 minute run on a Yamaha R6 that survived a garage fire...sketchy at best) He said well we have a great deal on this brand new 2019 Ninja 650ABS for $4500. I had him check the stock on both the 400 and 650 and guess what, only 2 of the 650 in stock. I told him there is no way I could get it home how much is delivery. “You buy it right now, I’ll deliver it for free”. How could I pass up this deal? Made some phone calls and pulled the trigger. I sat waiting for the bike and researching gear and mods for days! It finally arrived and now I’m supposed to sit here in 35 degree weather looking at it waiting for months for my safety course. I couldn’t wait. I took it out in the neighborhood until I could make it to the church parking lot to teach myself using knowledge of other riders and UA-cam videos! Needless to say I’ve put 200 miles on it and can’t wait until my course to really feel comfortable. This bike has tons of power (compared to the Chevy Cruze and Toyota Tacoma that I drive) and I love the feeling of riding. I guess I’m the Researcher and the 650 guy! Thanks for the video. Hope you all enjoyed my story and any advice for a new rider on a Ninja 650 would be greatly appreciated.
It seems that it has been 2 years from your comment. I hope that you are still alive (JK :D) and you can-will answer some of my questions (I want to learn to bike and I've found out that Kawasaki Z400 should be good for a beginner like me): Does Z400 fit the beginner motorcycle stereotype? How much, realistically speaking, I would be spending on it on an average use/year? Is it enough for daily commute (like a 40 km/day ride)? Thank you in advance!!
that's a really good price right there! Kinda jealous 😂
How's it being the 650 guy? I'm still the researcher for now. I'm also looking into a ninja 400 but might go for a 636. Hit the 180mph mark yet? Hope all is well.
@@mariomorales8187 if you don't mind me answering: I actually got myself the older version (ER6F from 2006, exact same engine, less features) 1.5 years ago.
I really started out slow I would say. I enjoyed my bike, but for the first half a year where I would not ride it very often, never high RPM (just didn't feel right, when it got really loud I always put the next gear), and didn't use a lot of the potential of that bike.
For the last 6 months I have been understanding more and more about bikes, what driving techniques there are, how to make some basic repairs, what to look out for etc etc and started riding a bit more with the idea of getting more comfortable with my bike. Also helps that I moved to Sardegna where the view from the roads is absolutely awesome.
By now I'm not sure what my next type of bike is going to be. I don't feel like I really need more power, I rather want to experience a bike that isn't made for the street. But for my normal commutes and driving somewhere further away this bike is keeping me very happy and not so windy on the highway.
I would buy it again (maybe with a TFT display this time).
I hope you will be satisfied with whatever choice you make! 😊
Is there a gsxr750 starter bike guy? Lmao it's between that and a street triple rs @yammienoob
No regret subscribing yam bro ,, never a dull moment haha awesome keep it up from straya
Thanks for the video. Good info. I’ve been building and riding restored vintage bikes for years. I bought my first modern bike last year. A Kawasaki Z900RS cafe. A fuel injected suicide machine. I gotta say, sometimes it scares the begeezus outta me. I give it a lot of respect. Even a punched out vintage bike has nothing on these modern bikes. Keep up the good work. 👍😁
I was an SV650 starter guy, Im also 6'1 250lbs. Thought it was a good fit. Now I have a Honda 919. Turbo Busa is the obvious next bike in this progression.

You are hilarious. As a new ride I get hours of entertainment from your channel. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Bro, your vids are great, binge watching. A 3 year rider and still researching for tips n tricks.
Bro that was the best sales pitch for a liter bike I have heard!
beginner rider here, def the researched rider type and 650 type, I got my first bike (2019 xsr 700), right at the beginning of covid and I'm about to hit 1k miles: I had the luxury of learning how to ride with completely empty roads, now with everyone coming outside I have to be acting as if every car is trying to kill me. For the past 6 months I have been doing nothing but watching moto youtube videos (your channel, motojitsu, dandanthefireman, fortnine, and 1,000,000 reviews of every retro bobber cafe racer scrambler type bike ever made from norton to ducati to triumph and royal enfield)...anyway I havent stopped smiling since I got my bike and threw on a yoshimura r77 full system exhaust...although I havent dropped it yet so well see, keep up the great work and super entertaining videos yammie!
Thats a good mind set to have, every car dose want to kill you and every car is a unmarked police car keep that in mind and you will fine.
You are basically me. Only difference: I have an SC Project on my XSR 700.
Same here Fox, just got my first bike, 2019 Yamaha MT-07 and put on a Yoshimura full exhaust, sounds great, fun bike. Bought it in April 700 miles on it so far. Having a blast.
Covid has been awesome
Good content been watching you channel scene the dirt bike days
Been a biker for 30 years.
Financial constraints limited me to 250cc and under until 2017.
Then I got a 1998 GSF600 Bandit.
I t’s so much FUN and I love the street-fighter look.
Yes, I know it’s slow & overweight. A modern 1L bike weights in under 200Kg, it weighs in at 400Kg.
The gears are clunky, Round headlamp and no fairing, no fuel gauge, no gear indicator, no ABS...
Oil cooled.
Last time it was in for service I got lent a SV650. When I returned they asked me if I was interested in trading it in for something more modern, like the bike they lent me?
NO. I want my Bandit back!
Started on a Honda ruckus. I love that bike, it’s in my top 3 most fun bikes.
im convinced a decent 125 scooter in any city is perfect fun (as lomg as you can split lanes).
I am an A2 researched rider. I have an A licence but last year when I bought my bike I thought a Honda CMX500 Rebel would be the perfect bike for me. And I'm really happy with it. Thanks for all the information in this channel and also to o.a. Motobob, Itchy boots, RevZilla, Bikes and Beards, Darcy and the old man, Doodle on a motorcycle etc who gave me a bit more confidence to get started. Now I would be ready for a Bonnie, a Road King or a Tenere 700
I started on a 1979 cb750f in 1984 as my first bike and I never dropped it and got 84,000 miles before the cam chain broke.(faulty tensioner was a common problem with the constant adjustments)
Scammy Pube! 😌 Seeing you upload makes my day! Love you Papa Yam Yam! ❤
Dago Lopez me too
Panama Plume is definitley a blessing to UA-cam.
True
You talking about papa yam aren’t ya lmao
Though underpowered, I really appreciate my 300cc bike. Teaches me so much and lets me slowly and safely hit higher levels before I move up. 5 months in and I'm starting to keep up with my liter bike buddies on the low speed twisties and my knee's getting really close to the asphalt. When I do get new or another bike (deciding if I wanna keep my 300 for city riding and new bike as weekend only) It'll be amazing and hopefully I won't wreck it. Already low sided my 300 once and though it hurts, it was only 2700 for basically brand new condition (previous owner rode it for less than 2 months and decided to trade it for something bigger).
Yoo same here. I bought my little 300 slightly used A.K.A 121miles on the odometer and 2months previously owned when I bought it. Have since put 9k on it.
Had a CBR250 and it was a blast. It’s better to ride a snow bike fast than a fast bike slow.
My bike went to auction today.
Definitely don't regret the 18 months I spent on it. Learnt sooo much & I'll be greatful for all the memories we've had. jumping straight to a litre bike now. I touched 300km/h this past weekend & I've been on an adrenaline trip ever since.
I want you to know your the reason I felt so confident in buying a motorcycle. I finally got one after a year of wanting one and watching your videos of course😂 thank you❤
1. Built a motorized bike, was my first "real" taste of motorcycling, Motivated me to take the MSF course and buy a bike so I could ride on the road and with my dad
2. As Mr. Regular said "Tree's dont merge into you"
3. Bought a Nighthawk 250 as my first bike so when I've got a year of experience under my belt on it, I can use it for everything its got and have more fun on it than on if I had started on a larger bike
I am 100% a number 8. I started on an SV650 and convinced 3 of my friends to start on one for the exact reasons he listed
Collin Lowery trying to find one myself
Started as a kid on a dirt bikes and gave it up at 16. 36 years later I got my first road bike, a Ducati Scrambler Urban Enduro. It is so much fun on the hilly and curvy roads in Vermont and Connecticut. I'm 7,000 miles into it and haven't had any incidents yet.
That bike Poppin Dank whoolies good?
I parked my Sportster next to a Ducati scrambler here at work tonight.
Nice man, knock on wood tho. Don't just say that lol 😂

Im a scooter dude....got it for 15th birthday haha but its heavily modified...It goes 90kph/56mph
did you felt the 7 g force?
I have a Simson S 50 (50cc) it is not modified and it goes 101 kph
2 HP?
@@tie8085 Nope, Simson has around 4 hp and a heavy modified scooter has about 12 hp (idk how heavy but if it still has a 50 cc engine it'll probably be around 12 hp)
Hope your brakes are modified as well...and tires also...good luck!
Hahahaha scooter bro here. It's immensely fun to ride around, but I also live in a little beach city in SoCal, but I'll be buying a big boy bike soon enough. That said, I won't quit riding the scooter around for small errands that are ultra close and during the summer months when the wife and I head down to the beach. Soon enough I'll be a cruiser bro, but will ALWAYS wave to anyone else on two wheels. Also, love the channel my dude.
Wow. Nailed it! I'm number 8, the 650 starter guy. Still loving my 17 Ninja 650. Perfect bike for the city streets and occasional backroads of San Francisco...
Love the footage of the old pacific Highway in Australia, that's not far from where i live.
"Asian Scooter Starters Left the Room" hahahahhahaha! just discovered this channel.. loving the content so far.. heheheh
Lol. I actually qualify as the researched rider. Looked for a few months before I decided on the RC 390. Couldn't be happier
Same here, I also got an rc390 as a beginner bike, and 9000 miles later I can say I made the right decision.
Destroy!! RR .... I have the 1200 monster and I have the RC. I love them both. But in reality I have more fun on the RC and I usually choose that as my ride.
Destroy!! RR ..... And, the cat eliminator, KnN air filter and the Dynojet combo Work wonders with this bike.
I also took the stock muffler and made it about half the length and cut out the insides. You could say that it’s a bit too loud now!
But with all the above, the power difference is amazing
Destroy!! RR you find those comfortable? I sat on one at the dealership. Push hard into my legs and was not comfortable at all. Sitting on it was like straddling a wide chair.
So after all of this you’re hinting at me to get a busa for a starter bike? Thanks bro, I knew you had my best interest at heart!
I was the trail riding mountain bike kid (no engine, but closer to dirt bike that road) who dropped onto a 2001 Ducati Monster 750 with no training other than my buddy showing me how to work the clutch into first gear and the shift pattern. I now ride my Buell Xb12s as my daily driver. Curve therapy.
Im 21 years old, only really have experience riding groms and I just had one of my dream bikes gifted to me. its a 2007 triumph speed triple 1050 that has a blown motor. And its my first bike. Ive worked on and built cars my whole life, so I consider myself very mechanically inclined and respect any and every machine with with and engine. I feel like im doing this all wrong, and watching so many papa Yam videos over the years is solidifying it. Starting off with only experience on a 125cc, and soon to be jumping on a 1050 once I fix it. I dont have the budget unfortunately to buy another smaller bike to get more comfortable on. I've even thought about flipping the bike to then buy a more reasonable starter bike, but I cant bring myself to do that as its my dream bike and its a one owner bike owned by one of my best friends. plus apparently the bike has a lot of history in my area as it was a test bike while my friend worked for a local motorcycle parts manufacturer. I want to ride so badly, and this is my best option at the moment. the phrase, "riding to stay alive" really hits hard and is very discouraging at the moment though.
I dont really expect to get any reaction out of this, its more of just a rant for myself to get my thoughts out...
I just really wanna get out on the weekends and ride.
I have literally sat on Google in all my spare time researching all there is to know for the last few months, and just bought a ninja 400 LMAO. SPOT ON SCAMMY PUBE
why not a 650 down to 35kw
@@jaki2455 in Straya we're limited to what we can have for our first two years of our licence. The 650 is restricted to a certain power output and the extra weight means it ends up being a bit sluggish
@@tristee3 its the same in switzerland. a lot of people throttle their bike down to 35kw
and after that they have the full power of it
