Today we're making an epic beetroot burger. We're huge fans of beetroot and we even developed a beetroot burger product that's sold in over 300 supermarkets. They make such a delicious burger they're hard not to love.

I Have the veg box cookbook by The Happy Pear! I just looked in the book, I have the beetroot burger recipe and other beetroot recipes! Thank you looks delicious and I am looking forward to making them!
Okay, energy prices aside, here's what I just made:
peanuts instead of cashews
oats instead of breadcrumbs
onion instead of spring ones
precooked beetroot, grated, pressed
frozen 6-herbs mix instead of fresh
cheese slices cut small instead of grated cheese
pepper and hot paprika added
Everything else as in the recipe
Fried in a pan with margarine and safflower oil, served on a toasted burger bun with aioli mayo and mustard and cucumber -
THE MOST DELICIOUS BURGER EVER!!!

Yes, they're soft, but they don't disintegrate. OMG Delicious!!!

did you sub peanuts for the walnuts as well?
@@kristengem8809 not all, just the grams I lacked in walnuts... but I think they could easily be substituted completely. Difference in taste, but not necessarily for the worse! Celebrate Difference!😄😁

Some commenters said they used oats. Another option might be to use gluten-free breadcrumbs if they work for you

Can I use ready cooked beetroot?
You can use cooked beetroot, hope you enjoy your burgers!
Energy prices are soaring where I live, the use of the oven as often as you do is just too wasteful for my taste... I roast the walnuts in a dry pan and fry the burgers in one as well. Yes, it needs more time to watch and do, but is cheaper energy-cost wise. ☮️
An air fryer would also be a good alternative if you have one, they cost about a quarter of the energy to run compared to an oven.
I looked up the recipe and under your instructions, it states to throw soaked cashews into food processor along with the TOFU... You never mentioned TOFU In your ingredients or in the video, but your instructions say to mix cashews with the TOFU??????
How much TOFU Are we supposed to put in this recipe???
