It should work with every CPU, I just haven’t tested AMD CPUs personally. Though, I’ve been told putting it to the number of total cores “8” is the best. Worth testing to see if it helps you!
Thanks for a great video! No nonsense, straight to the point. I had already messed about AMD Adrenaline settings and the config settings since season 1, but those corpse and weather settings seem to increase my frames by 10-30, depending on situation. Game runs much smoother for sure. Still not sure if I should enable FidelityCAS, or leave the setting off and just use the upscaling on the Adrenaline settings. Crazy to think that a decent CPU + GPU combo with R5700G and 6800XT only gives me around 90-120 fps at 1440p (upscaled from 1080).
I appreciate the kind words! If I had to guess, you are probably CPU/RAM limited while in a game. You can double check with the cpu time and gpu time in the telemetry settings. Whichever number is higher is where you are limited. Hope that helps!
@@brandonnine Probably CPU limited, but not by much. Should be a solid combo. Only think I can think of being a limiting factor is my virtual machine settings, but even they are pretty much optimal. Of course one thing could be the bad AMD drivers. Drivers are so much better on Linux.

Have you tried changing the ParticleLighting value from very low = 2 to absolute lowest = 0? Havent seen any bad sideeffects and improved stability of fps during smokes/fires etc
I tried it a couple seasons ago and noticed it sometimes would cause weird artifacts and pixelation it certain situations and had very minimal fps increase. I’ll have to double check it again with the new update for Season 6!

Hey, i5 11400F with Intel Arc 380 here (basic sht), from 45fps-50fps to 60fps-75fps works amazing because Activision doesn't know how to optimize shit, ty bro!
Unfortunately I’ve never tested a 4c 4t cpu, so I wouldn’t know which is best. I’d probably just leave it at default unless you want to try a value above or below the default and see if you get an improvement. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Allows your pc to render more frames 😅. I don’t really have enough characters to go into a full explanation of every setting, but essentially they are either settings in the standard game menu that are able to be dialed even lower than the in-game menu let’s you (think a “lowest” setting when in-game there’s just “low”) or in the case of the rendererworkercount, is telling the game how to utilize the threads from your CPU more effectively. Hope that helps!
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to test AMD reliably yet, so I don’t have a solid answer for you. In my extremely limited testing, it seems like the number of cores could be the best, but you’d probably need to test out a few different numbers to see which is best for you. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help with that!
I don't have a Players folder i got MW2 on Battlenet. When i open the download folder i only got the exe. file, the data file and the retail file. How can i find it?
I’m not 100% confident in what the newer CPUs like, but based on my limited testing and what others have mentioned, I’d recommend trying a value that matches your number of performance cores and see if that improves your fps over the default value.
I haven’t tested that cpu myself, but I’m pretty sure “8” is what you’d want based on my limited testing with AMD and other viewers recommendations. @brockoutman2480
Unfortunately with Caldera shutting down this month, it really wouldn’t make sense for me to put in the amount of time I’d need to for testing and then it shut down a week or two later. Hope you understand!
I have i5 1140f and 4060ti 8GB with 32gb ram at 3200mhz, any idea why I have stuttering at certain times? your configuration made me reach good fps 120 avg but I still suffer from stuttering.
Unfortunately it could be a number of things and it’s hard to diagnose over the internet, but generally stutters in fps come from cpu/ram. If your timings are really loose on your ram, that would be my first suspicion. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
The game shouldn’t run without that file. You should be able to search for it in your file explorer. Open file explorer, on the left click “this pc”, in the top right search bar type “options.3.cod22.cst” or potentially “options.3.codhq.cst”. Hope that helps!
I’ve seen a few people with this bug after the season 5 update. Double check your refresh rate in your windows settings. Copy that exact value (probably like 349.875hz or something) and put it in the config file where it says refresh rate and save it. Also try full screen borderless instead of full screen exclusive. Hope that helps!
It really depends on several factors, but generally most people will just leave it uncapped. If you have gsync, there’s a really good article from blurbusters about capping frames while utilizing gsync.
@pezjoefps I haven’t tested that cpu specifically but if it’s similar to the 12600k, it should either be the number of performance cores or 2 values lower than your default value. Hope that helps!
It worked for me, my FPS went up, but now after 3 days using the config they gave me a shadowban in warzone and I don't know if it could be because I moved the config of the folders? Greetings
I haven’t been able to test AMD so I can’t really give and accurate answer. Some have said total number of cores, but if you don’t want to try out and test different values, I’d recommend just leaving it at default. Sorry I couldn’t be more help
Hi guys, I’ve actually dropped fps I had 165 average but now dropped to 120 at 1440p. Looking at the benchmarking the bottleneck is my gpu. I have a 3070ti paired with a 12th gen i7127000K. Followed the steps in order both this video and the one previous to this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I’m assuming you had DLSS or Nvidia Image Scaling turned on before when you are getting 165fps. Those upscalers will give you quite a bit more FPS over fidelityfx cas, but you’ll lose quite a bit of image clarity as a trade off. I personally prefer seeing enemies clearer over a bit more FPS, but that’s something you’ll have to decide for yourself.
Hey! I have i5-12450H with 8 cores and 12 logic processors. What do you guys do for testing? Just put these numbers in config and start ingame tests? I wanna find my best number)
If you have the full paid version of MWII, it’s really easy, just a bit time consuming! I personally run 5 benchmarks on each rendererworkercount setting and then average the results out to see which one gets the best overall avg and 1% low fps, and also the best cpu avg and 1% low fps. From my experience, putting the number lower than default tends to be better, so starting in that direction is more time efficient. Hope that helps!
For some reason I can't change screen refresh rate on full screen exclusive even if I try to lower it to 30 when I hit apply it just resets to 60? Please help if you have any idea why
This might seem like a silly question, but have you checked in your driver settings (nvidia control panel or amd equivalent) and/or your windows settings to make sure you’re monitor is set to your max refresh rate?
Something that worked for my buddy (he just upgraded his monitor yesterday and was having the same issue) was deleting the config file “options.3.cod22.cst”. Close the game, delete that file, relaunch the game and see if that helps. Keep in mind, when you delete the config file, it will reset all of your graphics settings back to default and you’ll need to redo the optimized settings. My first video shows this process. I’m not sure if this will fix it for you, but worth a shot if nothing else seems to be working.
@@brandonnine I didn't even have to delete just found the refresh rate of monitor in those configs and changed it thank you so much I wasn't sure how to get to the configs lol
I’ve never tested the cpu myself, but from my limited testing on a 12600k and what other viewers have suggested, using the total number of performance cores should be best. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
2022 Asus ROG Strix i9 + 3060 + everythings updated + new game update has "locked" my refresh rate to 60fps and it changes back to 60 no matter what I do to it.
Are you on Windows 11? I've been seeing people talking about this a lot, but I haven't heard of a fix yet. You can maybe try changing your FPS in the config file. Just make sure it's the same number that you see in game when you try to change it. Hope that helps!
For me personally, there is too large of a difference in visual clarity and isn’t worth the trade off, but if it works for you, by all means go for it!
I haven’t tested that exact CPU, but if the 12600k is anything to go by, yours should be “8”. I’d try that and see if you see an improvement. Hope that helps!
@@brandonnine it Help me!!! I’m super glad came across ur video! 8 was Perfect, WZ running smoothly! Didn’t know this specs can handle this it well. Thank you brother stay bless.

Is this after doing the settings from the video? Or just an issue that you’re having? Something similar happened to my buddy after he upgraded his monitor and his fix was deleting the config file and getting it to redownload the default settings (you’ll need to redo the optimized settings after this). If you need help with that process, you can watch my first settings video. Hope that helps!
Love to hear that! Thank you for letting me know! I was going over both videos and all the settings and trying to figure out how the heck that could’ve happened 😅 How’d you end up fixing it or did it just start working again?
Hi bro. I did everything as is and it has worked very well for me. the only problem is that it was set to 30fps in the menu and in game it is still limited to 30fps however it goes to 60fps in the menu. I don't know what part of the cod 22 text note I have to change so that it continues at 30fps in the menu and not 60. Thx so much for ur video 🎉
That setting should be in the display tab of the graphics menu. It should either say unlimited frame rate or custom frame rate. If you click on custom, you should be able to change the menu frame rate.
@@brandonnine Yes, I only understand that despite the fact that I put it limited to 30 fps in the menu, the game goes 60 fps in the menu. That's why I thought it was because of one of the changes in the text file. Changes worked fine, just not applying the 30fps in the menu. 😃
I already found that this is what generated it, it is that as in the video I put the echo mode to minimum and that forces us to go to 60 fps in the menu. Now that I deactivate them I can limit it to 60 fps. sorry bro sorry for the inconvenience 🙂
I haven’t tested that cpu myself, but if the 12600k is anything to go off of, it should be the same as the number of performance cores “6” or 2 values below whatever the default number is. I’d try both and see which works best for you.
I’ve never tested this cpu myself, but I’d guess it should be either the number of performance cores you have or 2 under the default value in the config file. I’d try both and see what works best.
Not gonna lie still have the exact same fps 100 to 110 with a 3060 and ryzen 5 5600. I dont know why this is happening while seeing other people with 140 - 180fps with same settings and specs
@enzaroo9887 if I had to guess, you are cpu/ram limited. What speed and latency is your ram? I’d recommend watching my latest video about how much ram effects fps in CoD.
@enzaroo9887 And just to clarify, that’s the speed it shows currently in your task manager under ram speed? If you’re playing at 1080p, you definitely should be able to gain some fps from upgrading your ram to like a 3600mhz CL16-18-38 kit.
Yeah, upscalers can do wonders for getting a bit extra fps, I just personally prefer the extra clarity and sharpness from fidelityfx cas when it comes to long range AR fights.
@@brandonnine I gave fidelity cas another shot. Not sure if recent updates or changing a couple of setting did the trick but like you said at long range it’s more clearer and sharper than image scaling. Funny thing is I was on f-cas since it was added even back on Vanguard but it started aliasing a lot on thin lines and was distracting that’s when I went to image upscale. F- cas is looking good again even on 100, not over sharp. I have a feeling it might have something to do with a recent driver update on my 3070ti
Thanks for this Brandon. The only thing I’d say is most people don’t run with the games recommended settings anyway so for those who have already tweaked settings I don’t think the differences shown here will be as high as your mentioning in this video so this does become slightly misleading but other than this really informative vid and will help many people. Appreciate the help though. I have a 3070 i7 10700 and I’ve tried so many different settings and can’t get above 95/100 consistently in Warzone. Ave 125-135fps in multiplayer. Any help is appreciated.
I appreciate the feedback! Surprisingly, I’ve talked with a lot of people that just leave the settings at default because it says “recommended for your device” and they aren’t super savvy when it comes to tech. I get your point though. The config file alone should gain you a decent bit of fps even if all of your in game settings were set to low before. What resolution do you play at?
Hey Lewis I also have an ROG 3070 and an i7 10700 cpu, , I also have 32 gigs of Gskillz 3600 RAM and I get about 125-155 in warzone, In Multiplayer I get high 100's...
@@BIKEFIT78 thanks for your reply and feedback. I have 32gb ram aswell but I don’t think my ram speed is as high as yours maybe 2995. Is that on these Brandon’s settings? I also can’t overclock my cpu or ram with my current motherboard.
Warzone is EXTREMELY cpu/ram heavy. If you are running lower ram speeds, that's probably a big reason why your fps isn't where you'd expect it to be with your hardware. I know for my dad's PC (3060 Ti, 10700F) he gained almost 40fps going from 2666 to 3600 (enabling XMP).
@@LewisM1984 Every couple months I get on youtube and I look up best warzone settings and I find new updated videos and try them out. I followed Brandons video and I had never changed anything in the program folder before. I have tweeked things out in the Nvidia control Panel. Have you followed any videos on best setting for Warzone with Nvidia Control Panel? Also if you've messed with the Geforce Nvidia filters changing the colors to be more vibrant which I've done before that will drop your FPS for sure.
I tried your settings, it smoothens out the frames perfectly while giving a little boost since i was already at fairly low settings. My Problem tho, after i changed everything accordingly, for example in DMZ/Warzone buildings while looking through a sniper scope which are 200+ meters away look like they were painted by picasso while having a stroke. if i look at the same buildings with a red dot with an AR, they are crisp clean. I assume it is sth related to rendering distance but i cant find any setting to adjust in this sector. still takes 3secs or more to load in the buildings and stuff. got some advice my dude? :)
That’s been a thing since Warzone 1, so I haven’t even really bothered to test to see which setting effects that (it only happens briefly for me like once every couple of maps). I’ll try to do some testing this weekend and see what I can figure out.
For most pc’s that I’ve tested on, it’s only gained a couple of fps, but the main purpose for lower that setting imo is to remove the random clutter on the ground (grass, rocks, etc.) to see people laying down in bushes easier. Glad the rest of the settings worked for you!
i have a 3070ti and a ryzen 5 3600x i can't get over 80 to 90 fps well my buddy has a 3060ti and a lil better CPU and is getting 130 to 140 fps anyone know why I know my CPU has like a 80% bottleneck i thought that was the issue but then i tested it with a ryzen 5600x and it was the same also my game is having mad Studder issues and freezing issues sometimes it is unplayable
Normally I’d say your CPU is what’s causing your issue because Ryzen 3000 and 2000 CPUs tend to struggle with fps in this game, but if you put in a 5600x and your fps didn’t increase at all, you’ve probably got something else going on. Unfortunately, it could be any number of things going on, but most commonly it’s either a ram issue (low speeds or defective part) or cooling issue causing your cpu performance to drop. It’d probably recommend getting in contact with a reputable PC optimizer (@brparadox on Twitter comes to mind) to see if they can work out the issue for you. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
nah i appriciate the help i will 100% reach out to them yea its weird too cause I also have 32gbs of ram 2133 mhz so honestly that might be the problem it is to slow maybe so those are prob the 2 things I gotta look into upgrading is ram speed and cpu @@brandonnine
Oh yeah, 2133 is 100% the issue. Going from 2666 to 3600 (enabling XMP) gained almost 40fps on my dads PC (10700F 3060 Ti). I’d recommend going with at least 3200 but preferably 3600. Decent ram with a 5600x or better yet a 5800x3d would be game changing for your setup.
Followed, still 90 fps solid. Intel I9 9900K at 5Ghz, 3070RTX, 32GB Ram, Fast SSD.. I tryed all but unable to get above 90FPS had the same fps with an 1080 GTX (Non Ti)...... Fucking anoying... I think there is a frame cap somewere... RTX is much faster than 1080. MW3 gives me over 200 fps...

@@brandonnine thanks man! For someone who has a intel i9 10850. Would I copy your nvidia settings?
I also have a 10850k, so my setting should be perfect for you!
Hey bro! Do you do an nvidia settings vid?
My season 5 video (first video in the series) goes into it a bit and shows what I use! @professsir
Thank you for your time bro, just 1 thing, whats the best number for my cpu, i have a ryzen 9 3900x with 12 cores and 24 logical processors?
Unfortunately I haven’t been able to test AMD reliably yet, so I don’t have a solid answer for you. In my extremely limited testing, it seems like the number of cores could be the best, but you’d probably need to test out a few different numbers to see which is best for you. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help with that!
I don't have a Players folder i got MW2 on Battlenet. When i open the download folder i only got the exe. file, the data file and the retail file. How can i find it?
It should be in your main documents folder, not in the downloads folder. Documents>Call of Duty>Players>options.3.cod
just curious , when you get to the cores and threads part what am I supposed to do if I have a 13th gen i7 ?
I’m not 100% confident in what the newer CPUs like, but based on my limited testing and what others have mentioned, I’d recommend trying a value that matches your number of performance cores and see if that improves your fps over the default value.
I have a Ryzen 7 5800x with 8 cores and 16 logical processors. I would put a 6 for mine correct?
I haven’t tested that cpu myself, but I’m pretty sure “8” is what you’d want based on my limited testing with AMD and other viewers recommendations. @brockoutman2480
Thank so much
Of course! Glad I could help!
@@brandonnine could you create vdo that related COD Warzone caldera can’t find for a match ?

I have i5 1140f and 4060ti 8GB with 32gb ram at 3200mhz, any idea why I have stuttering at certain times? your configuration made me reach good fps 120 avg but I still suffer from stuttering.
Unfortunately it could be a number of things and it’s hard to diagnose over the internet, but generally stutters in fps come from cpu/ram. If your timings are really loose on your ram, that would be my first suspicion. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Thx❤
bro this shit worked to good man thank you so much!!
Awesome! Glad I could help!
for some reason i dont have that file on my pc, what can i do?
The game shouldn’t run without that file. You should be able to search for it in your file explorer. Open file explorer, on the left click “this pc”, in the top right search bar type “options.3.cod22.cst” or potentially “options.3.codhq.cst”. Hope that helps!
I have a 360hz monitor and my refresh rate is is locked at 145 in warzone and when I try to change it it changes back to 145 how can I fix that
I’ve seen a few people with this bug after the season 5 update. Double check your refresh rate in your windows settings. Copy that exact value (probably like 349.875hz or something) and put it in the config file where it says refresh rate and save it. Also try full screen borderless instead of full screen exclusive. Hope that helps!
Should I cap my frame rate to my monitor? 165? Or leave it wide open?
Personally I would just try both and see which one looks better
It really depends on several factors, but generally most people will just leave it uncapped. If you have gsync, there’s a really good article from blurbusters about capping frames while utilizing gsync.
renderworkercount for 13600k?
@pezjoefps I haven’t tested that cpu specifically but if it’s similar to the 12600k, it should either be the number of performance cores or 2 values lower than your default value. Hope that helps!
i have 6 cores and 6 threads.. so what number should i choose?
If it’s an Intel cpu, “3” would be best
Wouldnt raising the memory scale to 2.0000 be better?
It worked for me, my FPS went up, but now after 3 days using the config they gave me a shadowban in warzone and I don't know if it could be because I moved the config of the folders? Greetings
I’m sorry to hear that. Moving game files and changing settings shouldn’t result in any kind of ban though. Hopefully you can appeal it
What about for AMD ryzen 9 7950x 16 core 32 thread? what would you recommend for that?
@@brandonnine thank you for your reply playing on this more helped with its better clarity. Keep up with the great work bro!

On the benchmark i have with this settings...this is good or bad?
79%cpu
22%cpu
It’s not necessarily bad, just means the component with the higher bottleneck percentage is the part that’s preventing you from getting more fps.
@@brandonnine thanks a lot

I appreciate the kind words! Check out my first video from season 5! I have my nvidia control panel settings in there!
@@brandonnine yessir it even says auto is 120 in cod refresh rate settings I checked Nvidia control panel and windows advanced display settings

Guys for me Fsr 1.0 (quality) gave me much more fps than fidelity cas while losing minimal visuals
For me personally, there is too large of a difference in visual clarity and isn’t worth the trade off, but if it works for you, by all means go for it!

Nice! I’m glad you got it figured out!
how much for i5-13600kf with total cores - 14 ( Performance-cores-6 . efficient-cores -8 ), total threads - 20

You're welcome!
what about a i9 13900ks ? how much cores should i set it to ?

Warzone is EXTREMELY cpu/ram heavy. If you are running lower ram speeds, that's probably a big reason why your fps isn't where you'd expect it to be with your hardware. I know for my dad's PC (3060 Ti, 10700F) he gained almost 40fps going from 2666 to 3600 (enabling XMP).

I’ll try to do some testing this weekend and see what I can figure out.

for me the cluttermaxsettings is best if i leave it at 2500 but for the other settings the goated
For most pc’s that I’ve tested on, it’s only gained a couple of fps, but the main purpose for lower that setting imo is to remove the random clutter on the ground (grass, rocks, etc.) to see people laying down in bushes easier. Glad the rest of the settings worked for you!
