@@brandonnine no problem! :-) so looking at your video is my ram speed that’s causing my lower fps. 2933 with no way over using XMP currently. I do however use double dual sticks though so I have 4 ram sticks in my motherboard totally 32gb.
Yeah, 2933 is definitely leaving some performance on the table! In your situation, it's a bit trickier to recommend upgrading though because you'd need a new motherboard if I remember correctly. So that's something you'll have to consider.
I found overclocking my ram from 3200 to 3666 with the corect clocktimes from a ram calculator had HUGE impact on warzone..i gained about 50fps from ram overclocking alone.. This game EATS ram😅
@dubstark Nope! As long as you aren’t using more than 16GB on your pc while gaming, there is no difference in FPS. With that said, I’d recommend 32GB if you are upgrading or building a new PC. In a few years, 16GB might not be enough. Hope that helps!
hi, i wanted to thank you for you vidéo and i will explain why : You are the first i listen to that ex plains whith simple words how Switching XMp increase the fps so much.
Depends on your budget and how much you are trying to overclock. If XMP is your goal, a B series should be just fine. If you have a K series CPU, then a Z series is probably a better match.
My pc has a 3080ti and a Ryzen 5800x3d. The performance I get is so low for it should be. On bench I get 173 with everything on low and ur new config. With textures on normal I get 167. My ram is Corsair vengeance 3200mhz the very basic one. I have 32gb would upgrading my ram really help? I also think the gpu I got is messed up it was used from Amazon. On shipment I get 160 fps which should be way higher
@papaduplar6508 It would really depend on a few factors. What resolution are you playing on? When you are in a match, turn on your cpu time and gpu time settings (Interface > Telemetry > CPU Time/GPU Time) and see which one has the higher milliseconds value. Whichever is higher in-game is where your bottleneck is. Also, what are your GPU and CPU avg numbers in the benchmark? I know the 5800x3d gets a lot of help from more ram speed, but if you aren't CPU limited and it's your GPU not working properly, faster RAM isn't going to help anything. We gotta figure out where your bottleneck is first.
@@brandonnine I’m on 1440p my gpu is like 7-8 ms while the cpu is around 4ms so it seems it’s the gpu. The fps numbers for my cpu is like 340 I think and gpu is around 240
Yeah, if when you are in a game (not just the benchmark) you are seeing 7-8ms on the GPU and 4-5ms on the CPU, you are definitely GPU bottlenecked. You can try overclocking/undervolting your GPU to see if you can get some more performance out of it. (I had to undervolt my 3080Ti because I was extremely power limited). You can also try turning off Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling in your Windows settings and seeing if that helps you at all. I know some people gain performance with that off when they are GPU limited. @@papaduplar6508
i got a 7900 xtx with a 5800 x3d and 24gb of DDR4-3000 Ram. is it still worth it upgrading to 32gb of 3600Mhz or just save the money and go for 7800x3d+ddr5 ram?
@@sprayer97 Honestly, at this point in time, I’d probably recommend just going the upgrade route for DDR5. Especially with the newer CPUs coming out in a few months, DDR5 is probably gonna be even more beneficial then.
@@brandonnine i was thinking so, too. i might still be able to get good value for my current parts reslling them aswell. i've spent way over by budget alrdy though getting a 7900xtx 😂
@obtpete13 if you are cpu bottlenecked in game (most people are, you can tell by comparing your cpu time and gpu time in-game and seeing which is higher) then yes, upgrading your ram will help tremendously.
Depends on which software you use. @nameless on UA-cam has a great video on the software to use. It overclocks the port on the pc instead of the controller itself. I’ve been using it for over a year with no issue. Hope that helps!
@sino9459 depends on your specific setup, but generally 3600 with tight timings is gonna be the best bang for your buck (if you are cpu/ram limited). Like a 3600 cl16-16-16-36 or 3600 cl16-18-18-38
