Before a brand new aircraft is delivered to an airline, its various systems and engines need to be checked during an acceptance flight.
Such a flight is carried out to check all the aircraft's systems and behaviours in the whole flight envelope.

I had the privilege to Fly an Acceptance flight in 2013, in Hamburg , to pick up a brand new A320 , for my airline . It was one of the highlights in my career .
All the Engineers, Pilots , mechanics and ground personnel at Airbus , where kind and generous towards our crew . It was a pleasant week , and the flight was super !
Best regards to all Airbus personnel at Hamburg !
