    I got allergic contact dermatitis from using a hair product. It affected my scalp. I stopped using it and then it still spread to the rest of my body. My doctors gave me antibiotics and steroid creams. Nothing worked permanently. This lasted for SIX MONTHS. I read a book that it had to do with gut health and vitamin D deficiency. I got sunlight, ate salmon, took vitamin D supplements, I cut out sugars and added prebiotic fiber and I felt a difference in two weeks. In another two weeks, my skin healed and the itching stopped. This experience inspired me to start my own channel talking about this stuff. If you are suffering, there's a cure!

    I spent 2 years with severe skin allergies going from the allergist office to the dermatologist all to one different treatment after another then one day another different type skin attack that sent red skin going up my legs and I got scared and went to the hospital ER. The doctor looked at me and said you are allergic to your asthma medications you may want to start eliminating them one by one to find out which ones you are allergic too. I was mad at myself for how simple the answer was to my problem yet out of my 3 doctors they had no idea. The allergist, dermatologist or GP had me suffering terrible costing a fortune in medical bills and meds. Got rid of all meds except one asthma med.

    I work in a warehouse with no AC so it gets pretty hot here in TX. I do have to wear nitrile gloves because we work with car batteries so we're exposed to lead. When I go on break and take of the gloves it is drenched with sweat. Well last Saturday I had like blisters on the inside of my hands and they started peeling. My hands looks so bad, I'm so depressed because I feel I need to be hiding my hands on break.

      I'm allergic to formaldehyde, I have a video series on my channel about this if you want to know more, I will be getting special tests next month which I'll talk about what they are and the results. If not my suggestion is to get approval to get or buy hypo-allergenic gloves of your own and see if that helps.

    Very informative, thank you!! I’m atm trying to treat contact dermatitis due to essential oil (put Oregano oil on an itchy mosquito bite - boy was that a mistake!!) so as of the day before yesterday I’m using aveeno 1% hydrocortisone and half hour later I apply plain original Vaseline on top. I had to buy my Vaseline new because I was shocked to see that the BABY VASELINE (Vaseline brand even!) that I had on hand contained FRAGRANCE! I was wowed!! Why they would add fragrance to baby items is truly puzzling to me!! Smh

    Thank you very much Dr. Jeff Yu you are such a knowledgeable doctor and very informative. Learned a lot from you rather than my dermatologist. ❤ please keep posting your thoughts and experiences. I have diagnosed with contact dermatitis more in fragrance and Parfume. I work at orthodontist practice where i have started. Can someone give me more clues about at orthodontist place. Where someone have been allergic working there. Otherwise i have to quit asap😢

    I have some sort of dermatitis. Some contact dermatitis but also another small rash that forms on my right ribs. Its always in the same spot. What causes the rash and why is it in the same spot?

    I got mine from putting polysporin ointment on a couple of dry spots on my face. I woke up with a poison ivy type rash on the spots where I put it. It kept spreading all over my face, neck, and chest and lasted 7 days.

    Does contact dermatitis can get worse before it heals even when steroid cream is used? What are the signs contact dermatitis is getting better?

    • @Dan24.
      @Dan24. Місяць тому

      Are you dealing with it as well ?
      It’s been 6 weeks now and still not healed. I badly damaged my skin by using a moisturizer and made the irritation far worse by plucking hairs on my irritated cheeks which caused massive redness. It hasn’t healed even after applying steroids. They did help to reduce the redness a little bit but my skin as a side effects also feels extremely tight since using them so I stopped after 7 days.
      Did your skin heal ? How long did it take ?

    what if you're allergic to most adhesives they use for tape. i have a reaction with bandaids and most bandages that my doctor's office uses. i even had an id reaction. how do you do patch testing then if you're required to be all taped up?

      @@roblox21242 If you are allergic to the adhesive of the bandaid, then you are probably allergic to polyurethane based glue. Can you wear Spandex without breaking out in a rash?
      Hopefully your rash had resolved as its been 3 weeks since you'd posted.
