I’ve been grinding away running Cargo for the first time the last few days, slowly worked my way up from a Titan to a freelancer running gold arround the verse. So excited for the patch to hit to have actual cargo missions.
It will be interested to see how the Ship Showdown goes this year. I couldn't decide on just four myself, and ended up pushing for 8 myself and upvoting even more on Spectrum. My main thing is that it's a good ship, it's fun to fly, and it doesn't have variants. The reason I don't support variants is they have almost no chance to win since the vote is split between all the variants, and it's unfair to the people who love that ship but bought the wrong variant.
With the way medical gameplay has evolved, understandably any vehicle/ship capable of respawn, will be a contender for the top showdown spots. Cargo-wise physicalisation utility, has only been experienced by the Evocati, so probably won't be appreciated as much until it hits a live build.
@@mariobeck3798 Elon has built and flown the biggest rocket in history in 5 years, both software and hardware. CIG can't release f***g 3d models of ships in 12 years. Don't mention them in the same sentence.
Lots of great art already. The skeleton hand giving the middle finger reminds me of someone somewhere saying that in Star Trek 3 when Kirk and crew are stealing the Enterprise that right before the Enterprise goes to warp that Scotty should have setup a middle finger in the shuttle bay and that he opens the doors to flip-off the Excelsior right before Enterprise goes to warp.
my favourite ship in SC is actually the Anvil Valkyrie, though I am currently flying the Aegis Reclaimer... which is only there to get me a capital hangar on my road to getting the Perseus, though I will be quite sad to see the Reclaimer go when I do upgrade it... especially since I've become quite attached to the ship the more I've flown her.
Agree with your choice of MSR for Ship Showdown - I would go with the 600i IF they finally had the re-work out 😞 Decent cargo, medbay, ability to haul a Tonk, great accommodations, and great visibility from pilot seat - all while being fairly compact... dreams are free ay! 😉
The Contested Zones sound awesome! like a mini dungeon or raid with rewards if you make it through. Would like to see some more information on them or possible full gameplay!
The Syulen, for all its oddities, should make at least top four. If you haven't gotten a chance to fly one I recommend it. Beautiful interior, Smooth flying, decent loadout, and a good living space, tied (IMO) with the Titan for best starter. But for a showdown winner. I really want one of the little argo ships to win. Wait can we vote for the street sweeper? If it wins they have to put it into the game right?
The 400i has been one of my favorites for a long time; love the lines, joy to fly, plenty of flexibility for doing most things planetside.....except for ROC mining but ya know w/e
With this ship showdown, we need to force CIG to create paints for things that currently do not have paint. I believe 890, Terrapin, and Herald are the vehicles I am tracking that do not have paints. I wish for 3.24 they would do a wipe, my inventory is overloaded and it is way to hard to sell things, or just dump things. What do you love about the Mercury Star Runner. It needs a redesign. The elevator entrance is on the wrong side. You should not enter the server room. The server room should have a glass door to keep it environmentally controlled, like the 400i, or Drake Cat. The MSR has gotten fat and needs to eliminate some of those pointless tunnels. The chess table requires one person to stand. The interior needs a complete redesign. It is miserable. Let's not even talk about the fact that it only has one exit. Why does it have a lift anyways, that should be a sloping ramp.
Can't wait for base building it'll create more diversity in the game with more personalised customisation Constellation in general should be a major contender 🎉🎉

This patch 3.24 is really testing my nerves because of the high expectations I have (yeah, I know it's not healthy) and the fact that they're still fine-tuning it. My hope is that since it's been in Evocati for so long, by the time it hits PTU, there won't be much left to fix and it'll quickly move to PU. As I always say, a guy can dream.
MSR for the showdown although I do hope others that have never been in the showdown get in this time possibly all smaller ships for once. Hangers is what I am really looking for now where hopefully you can load any ship you want and it won't despawn like it does now. Bring on the 4.0!!
I'm hoping with scanning coming out that we will see some of the scanning ships win the showdown. Always a fan of the carrack winning, even if it's won 3 times.
It’ll be interesting to see if there is in fact some form of push back on 4.0 development due to the time it’s taking to get 3.24 out to PTU testing. Even though Jared mentioned they are on two different branches of development, I can help but think that the ‘tree’ of development time they are attached to is going to be affected in some way?? 🤔
So far my favorite ship is the C1 spirit. It's gorgeous and the most perfectly balanced ship in the game. I recently tried a corsair? Logging out in the bed doesn't work. It glitches and gets stuck in hanger floors every time you try to take off. The wings don't fit leaving the hangar in grim hex. it's really a bad ship right now.
Can't wait for new patch. I am currently stuck on microtech. Ships keep spawning not on hangers. Location unknown and can't store them so have to keep claiming. 😅
Yeah, I’m guessing the new Sabre will drop in 3.24 also. I’m intrigued to see what color scheme this year’s winners skins will have. Will we ever get a matte black skin? I’d sure hope so. Maybe that of concept MSR Advocacy matte black & slate grey skin.🇺🇦🇭🇹🇵🇸

I have a hard time getting myself to buy any ship that needs more than three people. I have 2 of them but I may ditch them. my favorite ship is a Redeemer. It takes four people, and I’m kind of bummed about that. My favorite one person ship is the F8 lightning my favorite little runaround ship is the Cutter scout. I wish this game was open to modify your ships, I would rip off the cutters side engines and replace them with cutlass black big engines. Then I would give the pilot four size 3 weapons and the capacitor from the cutlass black would be installed in the Cutter scout. I would get two size one door guns that fold out for the left and the right side back ramp. I put a med bed on the right side of the back bay, tight in the middle space between the computers and the relay. I would add two more shields. In the area over the power plant that has the x bracket plenty of room there for two side by side. This ship would be the Cutter Combat Medical Evac.
A lot of questions this time. I am hoping 3.24 comes out by Thursday. They never work well when they come out Fridays. 4.0 will come out early November. I love the Vanguard have since me first week of playing the game. It is like a space A 10 warthog mixed with an RV. Then again the F7 MK2 is awesome and I hope they don't change anything on it other then maybe give it just a slightly bigger power plant.

2 things 1. reclaimer needs to be in quater finals bare minimal 2. If reclaimer does end up in top 4 the color palet for the Best in show should be Orange Green and Purple. :) just a dream to till the verse with DECEPTICONS!
4.0 maybe December at this rate. Could be sooner but a good reference I think is how long 3.24 is taking. Seems like more and more being promised and they are playing catch up more than they want. I understand the want of multi crew ships but even now we gave the ability to “AI” control a turret, point defense on modern navy ships. Turrents should have the ability to follow a target and shoot it once the pilot ids it as hostile. I really hope hangers lose their invisible walls that cause a ship to explode, other than that can’t wait for a personal hanger!

if I had to give up all my ships except for 2 (that I own and are flyable) I'd keep the Carrack and Warden. I really love those both I just wish the carrack could carry the warden.
A prediction and a question... My prediction is 3.24 2nd week of August. 4.0 just before Christmas break. My question is, will we be able to sell cargo to other players? The cargo ownership would have to change allowing them to sell it at any location. Also, will there be a way to hack the cargo allowing you to change the ownership? This would obviously help the pirate game play.
We NEED to get the 890 Jump at least down to the final 3 so it forces CIG to make a paint for it. She is the ONLY ship in the game right now that doesn't have a livery.
If more people owned one. It would be hard for me to vote for a ship I do not own. Does the Terrapin have a livery? I was thinking that there were a few ships that did not.
4.0 was planned for end of summer 2024. I am pretty sure they won’t make it. The question for me is: before or after December xD I hope afterwards. So they won’t use the patch as an excuse again for bad servers…
Can't predict for 3.24 , nor for 4.0. "In the future" "SOON-ish" ... My favorite ships atm depends on role. Cutlass BLue and red , Conny Taurus and/or Vulture ... Andromeda , 350 , Hornet mk1 and Titan are gathering dust and my Hull C will get some hard needed attention soon.

To be honest I love the Argo tractor. It seems like such a useful little ship. I assume it's small enough to be used within a persistent hangar.

Pulling for the Constellation Andromeda! It’s a crime that it hasn’t gotten best in show yet! Love that ship, bugs notwithstanding.

The MSR is still my favorite ship…I just wish they would make an alternate entrance and get rid of the useless little elevator in the back.
Hopefully the showdown goes smoothly and a deserving ship gets the win. The last 2 years seemed pretty good.
I think they are holding all the big releases for Citizen Con. I just hope we get really good live coverage for all of us who cant make it there.

I'd love to see dynamic push and shove faction territory growth and shrinkage that can be accelerated/altered by player interaction

hard to go wrong with a cutty red! but I lean a bit bigger, since corsair already won, I did a lot of work in the Andromeda!

Unironically, I think the pulse is worthy of winning it's such a great vehicle that is a blast to use.

I find it interesting that CIG is factoring in actual play time with the Ship Showdown ships this year. It should make for an interesting competition.

I love MSR too, but I undershirt it already won too much paints. This can be Spirits and Hornets year for BIS, I believe.

We NEED to get the 890 Jump at least down to the final 3 so it forces CIG to make a paint for it. She is the ONLY ship in the game right now that doesn't have a livery.

If more people owned one. It would be hard for me to vote for a ship I do not own. Does the Terrapin have a livery? I was thinking that there were a few ships that did not.

4.0 was planned for end of summer 2024. I am pretty sure they won’t make it. The question for me is: before or after December xD I hope afterwards. So they won’t use the patch as an excuse again for bad servers…

Would like to see the Raven picking up popularity now that we have some variants. Would be nice to have some more skins.
Can't predict for 3.24 , nor for 4.0. "In the future" "SOON-ish" ... My favorite ships atm depends on role. Cutlass BLue and red , Conny Taurus and/or Vulture ... Andromeda , 350 , Hornet mk1 and Titan are gathering dust and my Hull C will get some hard needed attention soon.
