I wish music used the sitar more often. It seemed to die out as soon as the psychedelic era faded. Even George Harrison abandoned the instrument. The sitar creates such an atmosphere with that droning sound. Toke up folks.
I heard it is an extremely hard instrument to master. Some believe it I'd the earliest version of the guitar, s related word. Our western culture and our European languages, including English, had their ancient toots in a culture in the north of India, so I can believe the Sitar is the earliest version of our modern western culture 'guitar'. The words guitar and sitar sound similar and are in fact linguistically related, through this Indo Eurooean languages connection. Culture is intellectually fascination, as well as so beautiful and pleasurable, like music, one of its many manifestations is. Sorry if I sound too high brow Intel k ectual, but this is a uch a beautiful feeling, experience, life itself in all its spiritual richness, passion, intensity, beauty... Even the most eloq I ent words cannot express all. So, where words run out of expressive ability, music takes over, to capture the feelings words cannot capture. OM, amen.. Whatever. It is all striving for the same universal truth. About life, its meaninhg, us human souls, God, creation, rhe Supreme Being, where life came from, where it flows to, or some such profound spiritual quest for truth. I also love other mystical Beatles songs, like 'Within Without you" (not sure if I got the title quite correct) and 'The inner Light', especially the lyric in that song: Arrive without travelling. In other words, take an inner journey into your own soul, within the confines of your bedroom, alone, just pondering life, the universe, the meaning of it all. COOL MUSIC. Good for my spirit.
The correct lyric is 'my world', not my 'mind', I think. Like, with this spiritual steadiness, calm etc, nothing can rattle us up, even if the external world is crashing down around us, we stay focussed on this spiritual calmness of our inner world. Nothing can change our inner world, our inner reality, unless we allow it to. There's a lot of spiritual truth in this song. Jai Guru devastating, OM.. OM.. peace. Inner peace. Amen
@@AnnemarieMayyes well said! That’s why I love this song so much! Every time I feel chaotic or depressed I listen to this song to calm my heart and to remind myself the outside world will never be able to harm me as long as I keep my inner peace and strength ❤
