- Part 2: How to illustrate a children’s book using Midjourney AI
In this series, I am breaking down the step-by-step process of using AI's to support writing children's books and then publishing them. This video covers using a graphics creation AI called Midjourney to make illustrations that align with a storyline.

I have watched a several kid-journey illustrations videos over the last week AFTER discovering Mid journey Sunday and your videos are the most comprehensive. At first I just going to put my images on products and sell them BUT you have shown me how to hack the system to make consistent images to create a children’s book. Thank you. -Renina
Hi Renina, I appreciate the feedback! Happy creating!
Great video! Thanks so much!
Thanks a lot for sharing.
OMG! This information is great!
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
how do you use the original image to generate others
Killin’ it, Swanson-very helpful. Is the midjourney bot a 1 time fee or annual?
Thanks! Midjourney is actually a monthly fee. I plan to pay it when I'm going to work on a project intensely as it saves a lot of time. It allows 15 hours of fast processing per month vs the slow processing. There are annual plans as well.

Will this regenerate image based on a model provided... as in uploading a photo of a child (my own)...
Yes you can upload images and generate new images based off of those. You can also use it to blend images.
Hello, I have a question. If you have a photo of a character in real life, can you upload the photo and have the AI put it in a comic form, or will it generate an illustration from the real phoo??? Thank you 😊
Yes, you can upload images of anything, including real life photos. You can then have midjourney use those to modify them however you want.
@ScottSwanson314 Thank you very much for this information !!!!
Can you write copyright in the book to stop someone else claiming it is theirs ?
Yes you can. This is also part of the process in my video I'm working on. I used amazon KDP to actually make the book and copyright it.
@@ScottSwanson314 Sorry but you cannot copyright a book made with Chatgpt and Midjourney. ChatGPT output is the property of OpenAI and Midjurney's output is completly free to use for anybody. I justread their TOS
@@Zsolt67 if you adjust the output you own the rights. Don't use any of it exactly as is without making changes.
Can we make youtube videos using Our own Voice and using midjourney illustrations to tell a story? is it allowed on UA-cam? will it be monetized? if we use our own voice over, Thank you!
That's a great question. I definitely think you could make a video with midjourney illustrations and your voice to tell a story on UA-cam. There are also several text too speech AIs that you could use, rather than your own voice
@@ScottSwanson314 that is the new low level of creativity, pure laziness using a gpt midjourney combo
could you please tell me where can I find the right size for a children’s book?
I can help with what I've learned. There isn't any "right"size for a kids book. Many of them are 6" x 9".
Here is a link on Amazon to get an idea of different trim sizes.

Safari does not let me open discord or midjourney 😢
Sorry to hear that. You can try downloading Google Chrome or a browser similar to that that supports discord. I also read the other day that midjourney is going to move off of discord and to its own designated website. That is probably a few months away still.
Does Midjourney own copyright on the images you create?
From what I have read, the text in the books I have made are copyrighted but the images generated by the journey are not protected by copyright.
If you are skilled enough, and modify the images, the more you modify the better, then you could/should own the new image you made based on Midjourney. At the very least, no one else will have a digital version of your modified image to use in their own book etc.
You don't have to pay 30 for a private. Just invite the both to your server
Correct. The $30 is for additional fast processing time. Helps speed up the process drastically.
I think even if you invite to the private, they are still available to the public. For stealth mode, you definitely need to pay additional $30.
@@vrynstudios he just said about being able to find them easy.
