My issue is that the prompt for multiple poses and expressions seems to be failing 75% of the time for me… the newer versions of midjourney seem to be pulling toward just showing a single pose for some reason. I’ve tried your prompts, and lots of others. Maybe there is a negative prompt I don’t know about to really push it in the direction of doing more than a single pose concept sheet.
Man I am so glad that I came across your channel, this video would have saved my loads of time, I created my first video book and I was pulling my hair out trying to generate the same kind of image across the story. I did a little bit of animalion on a couple of images, they are okay for a first start, but need to get them to transition smoother, no glitches and $40 for AI Art Studio 2.0 is a no brainer.. Can you more your scene images in the workspace. Awesome to see a young man with talent. Im 66 and just getting started. Thanks again. 1 more thing the other tutorial out there do not show you all what you have shown me today.
Just fabulous teaching. I have watched several videos on this subject and yours is by far the best. Most go to fast. You speak slow and clear and provide great examples. Kudos to you!! I am definitely following you. Thanks so much. This is a 10+ video!
OUTSTANDING Video! You have made my work load easier and my stress load non-existent. I have also purchased the AI Art Studio 2.0 because it is brilliant. Thank you!
Great vid, and to add to that, you can take the last scene you created, upload it in Midjourney, take the link, then write a prompt (and include the link to your scene) explaining the scene in simple turns, and watch as mid-journey creates a better version of your own canva scene, with your character and setting included (may take a few goes, but mine looks really good!)
Bravo. I've been using UA-cam for tutorials for a loooong time. Gotta give props to someone who is natural at teaching others and isn't trying to make a funny joke every half a second. Suuubscribed. haha
Dude this is so cool! I'm so happy i stumbled across it trying to find solid characters in midjourney. I keep trying to re-invent to wheel and forget there are tools like this.
this video is by far the best video that i have watched related on this subject.it is a very clear instruction and explanation. Thumbs up for all your hard work ! THANKS SO MUCH
ok I am 54 years old and very new to all this AI tools, I wrote several kids books on art and would love to get the pictures done, I managed to follow your steps, of course having to pause every min so I can follow along as you go very quickly for me. but the one thing I cannot stand is when someone says its free then you find out its not. You did say your studio 2.0 was paid so I said ok I will invest ad do this now I am trying to add my characters it is telling me I have to upgrade or I cannot upload the images, this is when I get mad as I now have invested $40US $300TT of my curency and now I cannot use it as I refuse to pay more. I cant seem to catch a break with all this technology it is costing me a fortune, I should just do it the old fashion way and paint them myself.
Hi Tracey, I also use the free version of Notion and I think I know what the problem is. I think that the Midjourney image you're uploading in Notion is more than 5MB. As free users, we can only upload each image that are 5MB or less (paid users can upload up to 5GB per image). One way to circumvent this free limitation is to take a screenshot of your Midjourney image and then PASTE your screenshot inside Notion. So, instead of clicking "Add an image" in the Character Design Sheet, you can delete that option or paste your screenshot right below that "Add an image" button. I think this is better so that your Notion does not get bloated with images with large file sizes. Let's pretend that you uploaded hundreds of images that are 4MB each. That would probably slow down your Notion. You still have your original Midjourney images stored somewhere (Midjourney has them on their servers); so don't use Notion to store your images. Hope this helps. I'm fairly new with Notion but I love how this Creator created the template. I just purchased it a few hours ago and I'm a satisfied user (I've been using Google Docs but this Creator's Notion Template is fantastic). Hope this helps.
@@ai-foundations I have been following the steps but midjourney seems to be having problem with creating my desired character appearance. Could you help me here please?
Thank you for your step by step instruction. Your information has been very useful. I purchased your Ai Studio, watched the install video, and I am ready to start my new journey!! I'm so excited :)
This is fabulous! Thank you so much for your straightforward approach to Consistent Character Creation and Organization. I finally have something I can actually use to help me along my MidJourneying. I was just lamenting about how I can organize my multi-step projects, such as authoring and illlustrating using Midjourney. You gave me the answer with your (and now my) Art Studio template for Notion.
Dude, you just exemplified how, with the proper set of skills and tools, someone with an interest in character creation / matte design, or a current a professional in this line of work, will not become obsolete by the advent of ai. Time is right NOW, to skill uP.
Excellent! So helpful! I’ll keep you in my subscriptions for my future work on my Christmas book! You’ve helped me understand AI quite a bit. Thanks and God bless.
Thank you. This is an extraordinarily useful video. I can see that your AI studio is very useful for a large project like a book, but as you point out this can be done with Midjourney, and clever use of Google Drive or similar, plus the free sites you reference. I've subscribed, but thatn you for taking the time to do this step by step!
i cant get different poses or expressions for some reason, its the same blah face and standing. i also only get 3 to 4 per image. here is my prompt: young blonde boy, short, blue eyes, freckles on nose, pixar style, different poses and expressions, character sheet, full body, green pajamas --ar 16:9 Please help! you are an imspiration.
Thanks for this video! At about 16:25, you mention that you "took out the bad characters, cropped in the good ones you liked" ... Three questions this brings up: 1) what constitutes a "bad character"? what constitutes a "good character"? And 3) what do you mean by "cropped in" the good ones you liked? can I assume this just means that you kept/used the ones that you liked?
Liked, subed and commented. I've watched a few other videos on how to create a consistent character in midjourney and they are all bad. They seem to have incorrect info, vague descriptions, go too fast or skip steps. I just couldn't follow step by step. Your video is easy to follow, accurate and good descriptions. Wish I could sub 10x
Looking forward to an update with the new Midjourney characterreference option: including a step b step guide for how to include more than one character in both discored and the website
I have been desperately trying to find a way for storyboarding film and video ideas. This should be a start. Now if I can get it to show me the same environments from different angles then maybe it would be possible to combine both the environments and the characters into the same process for storyboarding.
Your video was inspiring! Ever explored Stylar AI? It focuses on logo, 3D, and interior design, and supports image uploads and auto prompts. Though it's still developing, it could be a great addition to your toolbox.
How to generate multiple consistent characters interacting with each other and use them in different scenes? And how to add people behind them? Is it impossible?
Hi there!! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have ONE issue that is getting to me that is different than yours. When I went to do step 6, (isolating characters and referencing the images that I uploaded), it definitely did not want to reference the original character I created from the uploaded images. I've tried everything and it's not working. Have you had an issue with this when you started playing around with it?
I really cannot seem to get a consistent character. I create the character sheet. I load the results into Photoshop, crop and remove background. Load all 8 into Midjourney. Reference all 8, use exact same prompt, alter the "expressions and poses, character sheet" string to be what I want the pose to be, and...very different looking characters. Spent an entire day iterating this with no good results. What are your /settings? I have RAW off. Stylize Low. Low Variation mode. Thoughts?
What helped me getting at least the face consistent was to reference a popular character (anime or actor). This worked even though I changed everything else, like hair and clothing. Face and style were consistent. But for the life of me I can't get it to produce long sleeves on a dress with varying arm poses. 😢
Thank you for this tutorial, I learned what I needed to create and build my characters for my channel. However, can I do this if I already have a picture of a character I want to use? And how do you navigate to Midjourney bot? And then I am guessing from here we take our images to animation and they become live action correct? This has been great. Thank you!
Once I upload the pngs of my character i'm unable to right click that file and "copy image" or "copy link", there's only a "copy message" option and then I can not reference the images I uploaded to create more expressions
Thank you at all times. Is it only possible to take pictures from Midjourney? Is there any way to make my photos various poses and facial expressions for example?
Thanks so much for this tutorial. Can I upload images from my vast image bank of fashion work using existing faces or mixing existing faces into one face as a consistent "character" for all of my images? A virtual model to work from to build stories and fashion editorials that will also exemplify my photography style?
Thanks for the tutorial, I was trying to follow, and used your format of prompt [Character Features], [Style], multiple expressions and poses, character sheet, [Character clothing] --ar 16:9. But what I got is always any 4 characters with rotation and same expression. How could I get more expression variations like you did?
I love the tool, but have one major feature request. I took a lot of time to import my best Midjourney graphics into my gallery. When I got around to the "Your Characters (Sorted by Project)", I wanted to drag items from the gallery into the project where I will use them. There was sadly no way to do that. I really don't want to have to upload the same graphic another time to have them in my project, but I really did want to use the project sorter. If we already have uploaded characters to our gallery, could you find a way to let us easily assign a gallery object to a specific project?
