I would say that Fortnite had a lot more fun casual strategies that took full advantage of the fact that it's an online multiplayer game. You could place good loot under traps to lure unsuspecting players to their death. Rocket launcher rockets could be ridden on if 2 players cooperated which allowed for temporary flight. The bush and snowman item lets players hide in more places, another item that is only fun due to the multiplayer aspect of the game. Pulse grenades and the freeze pad acts as both a mobility, and an item that lets you push opponents into the storm or some other unfavorable spot. C4's have some of the utility of traps and it could be attached onto vehicles which your teammates could drive into opponents. The season 5 cube event is my personal favorite event because it not only gave you shield by being near it, but you could also shoot at the cube from a distance and it could kill the players who were nearby getting shield. Everything listed here may just be considered "meme strategies", but having strategies like these is what made Fortnite Fortnite.
