Honestly, I personally prefer this new Jump section because, like Mark said; Webtoon will not give some rando the time of day. This new section, as unprofessional as it looks, really feels like they're saying "let's give 'em a chance." And they did. It's not pay to win, it's not biased, it's all down to skill. Pure storytelling ability.
Even tho its only been 6 episodes, listening to you both have motivated me so much to continue making manga. These episodes have shown me what I was missing in my art and where I want to direct my focus. Thank you for motivating and providing entertainment for us. I promise you will hear from me again as an artist, bet.

There was an international manga contest that happened right before this was announced and a ton of western manga were on there, even more than Japanese stuff. I feel they made this move because they noticed all these English speakers interested in manga and are trying to reach out to them and give them the same chance as Japanese artists. MPC feels more like jump rookies than it does webtoons tbh (basically a Japanese ver of MPC that jump did). The purpose of both is to find more artists who could potentially be in jump

Its kind of amazing that DD actually won the monthly award of Manga Plus Creator of october. This is what ignited my drive to become the greatest ! Tks DD.
I am 30 and when yall started talking about games had me dying. Shocked at having Ps2 I had an Atari, Nintendo, Sega these were my starter my uncles were gamers I was born into this.

i use soul calibur as a reference bc u can literally create characters any way you want. theres been many times that ive made character creations into drawings and official characters for my story

this podcast is great, you guys go in depth in all the topics you discuss and it's entertaining. I also appreciate the no-nonsense approach you guys take and your willingness to speak your mind and critique what you feel needs critiquing without filtering to be more polite or align with the masses, what you guys think is what you guys say.
It's also cool to see the collaborations with other creators and I can't wait to see what other cool artists appear on the show.

I tjinl the reason for Manga Plus becoming a global platform now is because A LOT of shonen's big hitters on ending soon. Last year they had a competition that allowed artists all over the world to submit their manga ideas, win money, and possibly become published in the official jump magazine. Now with Manga Plus, they can continue reeling in ideas from all different types of places while also giving artists an opportunity to share their work around.

I do not use reference a lot and sometimes I get some tips from some other artists like kuzomari,DD mark and thirdphp (love your art guys)and I use my creativity
'Anyone else around here also watching Made in Abyss? Its my biggest inspiration right now. The storytelling climax during its latest episode made me tear up about the possibility I might be able to tell a story as uniquely beautiful, horrifying, and mysterious as /that/ one day.

I have a question, you could give a short answer here or even discuss in an episode, how do I, as a nobody so far on the internet, get drawing critique from people ho kinda know what they are talking about, the more specific your advice the better, thanks

you can post your drawings on every social media and ask for a contructive critique. theres also the proko site where you can get critiques from other artists
Do you guys plan on making another video answering questions? I want to ask if you guys have any tips for a beginner artist trying to put their ideas to paper by trying to make a script for their story. Should their try to do what they love even if it’s not good? Or should they just only focus on trying to improve on the fundamentals?

I have to ask this question, since you guys are gods at perspective but how did you actually practice perspective? Literally just drawing boxes and cylinders?
