Looks awesome. One day i plan to fit diffusers to my R53, i know it's a ball ache to do on these though (not overly keen on the Leap one). Never been a fan of fitting just the outer part for the looks, it looks awkward when you can see it from the side and it just abruptly stops lol. Between this R56 and the R55 you had, i'm slowly but surely coming around to the later turbo minis haha
Great video! I installed this kit today with no issues. Here is the OEM factory parts list needed to complete the kit: (1) MINI GP2 Diffuser Air Duct Left 51-74-7-330-559 (1) MINI GP2 Diffuser Air Duct Right 51-74-7-330-560 (1) MINI GP2 Diffuser Air Duct Center 51-74-7-330-558 (1) MINI GP2 Rear Diffuser Bracket Left 51-74-7-370-213 (1) MINI GP2 Rear Diffuser Bracket Right 51-74-7-370-214 (6) MINI Hex Bolt with Washer 07-14-7-117-693 (4) MINI Torx Bolt 07-14-7-075-519 (4) MINI Body Clip Nut 07-12-9-904-150 (2) MINI Torx Screw 07-14-7-212-669 (1) MINI Clip Nut 51-12-7-070-202 This will include all the bolts, screws, and clips necessary. The factory installed 8mm hex head bolt for the bracket on the right side of the car will be replaced with a Torx screw (07-14-7-212-669). The existing left side bracket will need a clip nut (51-12-7-070-202) installed and will be connected with the other Torx screw (07-14-7-212-669). The 4 Torx bolts (07-14-7-075-519) are self-tapping and will be used with the corresponding clip nuts (07-12-9-904-150) to connect the diffuser air ducts to the plastic belly pans.
Thanks for the clear instructions. I just purchased one from Aliexpress. Are you sure you needed to remove the two pieces on the right and left of the diffuser?
Hi if you mean the two tiny bits of trim you have to remove them to get better access for the screws however try clipping them on and see if they go back in Planck when you are done 👍🏼
@@paulinelambert7780 there were no instructions included. Also the one I ordered was missing 6 bolts and threaded clips. The plastic was also very warped but once it was all installed it looked good.
@@DavidSettonPersonal thanks Dave (^_^). do you mind sharing the weblink of the diffuser you bought off Aliexpress? Tbh, I'm frightfully nervous bout buying from these Chinese knock-offs. Great video! Super clear. I just spent too much time trying to fit an OEM defuser to my 2012 jcw and the tabs just don’t line up. First three go in, but after that there’s no chance. Did yours just line up fine?
Short excellent and explicit video !!! You even have a great accent for a froggy man ahahah like me easy to understand off course I liked and suscribed, cheers body! Great stuff!!
Well done and a demo thanks! Tweedbean, Wish that I could that setup plus the exhaust on the back end of my R56 Mini One 2010 Eng: Model: N14.............. UK
Any chance you can install the Diffuser without the brackets and airflow ducts? It'll look the same once the car is back on the ground right? Just curious what my options are and if it would stay in place without brackets and just the diffuser on it's own. TY!
You can but the outer section if very short and not sure if could be seen from rear of car or not. I am sure I have seen someone just run the outer section but cant remember what it looked like

hey Dave, I am thinking of purchasing that same diffuser on Aliexpress. Did your supplier provide you with an installation instruction booklet?

Thanks for watching, you could go for a custom centre exit exhaust maybe and fit a JCW bumper etc from a Cooper S/JCW

Love the video. Great Diy. ❤
Thanks so much!
Great video! The diffuser looks really good especially with the rear wing. Which lift did you use to do the install?

@@tweedbean That's great, thank you mate 🙂
@@tweedbean hi, how long did it take you to install the GP2 diffuser complete set? thanks.
Nice job fella
Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful.
I have mini cooper D r56 2009 with rear bumper r56 JCW...this GP2 can fit?
You would have to chance your exhaust to a centre exit for it to work
Can you fit these to a cooper S bumper? Is there an option out there that does? Thanks
Hi thanks for watching, there isnt an OEM or none cut diffuser for the Cooper S bumper that I have seen
is this only for 2013 models or could i fit it on my 2008 cooper s as well ? because the back looks different
It fits any 2007-2013 with the JCW rear bumper
I have a question i got on one side of the a exhaust pipe is that a problem with the install? because of the side exhaust pipe.
Do you mean you have a Mini one? If so you cannot fit this diffuser with a side exhaust, it has to be a centre exit S, JCW or custom exhaust.
@@tweedbean thx for the fast reaction i do have the mini one. are there any other diffuser that i can install on to the mini one?
How difficult were the exhaust hanger brackets to remove?
Not to bad from memory
Hi Martin will this defuser fit on my r59 convertible mate ...great video by the way back end of your car looks awesome mate 👌
Thanks, yes it will for the r59
Great video, the two end trim pieces that you removed are they permanently left off? Thanks Martin.
It's worth double checking, they didnt seem to fit back on mine, but give it a try on yours
Nice
Thanks
Grazieeeee
Thank you
Is there a clubman jcw diffuser?
Not for the R55, I’ve seen people fit challenge diffusers in the centre of the bumper, but that’s a custom fit not an off the shelf OEM option
damn i want this so bad on my jcw ... unfortunately i dont have the aero parts on mine and i cant find them anywhere ... kinda sucks (and i guess i cant fit them without the aero kit)
Have you tried your local mini parts department? Correct you cannot fit these to a non JCW bumper

Could you somehow do it on a s bumper
Hi unfortunately not they are very different bumpers

A genuine diffuser on its own is cheap as chips really, do they actually just fit straight on? GP2 number and JCW bumper has a different part number.
Hi as you can see in the video I have a genuine diffuser and a genuine JCW bumper and both parts go together 👍🏼
Part numbers are only different because the GP2 doesn't have rear parking sensors, but in terms of fitments they're identical
