Euge, you have the best guitar channel on youtube. So down to earth and entertaining, while still being extremely insightful. Keep doing your thing, man!
I watch your channel for years and just realize today I'm not even a subscriber. My apologies this is now corrected ! Love your vids, very informative, one of the best and enjoyable guitar producing content around, thanks fo the amazing work 🙏
Great video! I’ve always loved an echoplex or tape delay in the front of an amp for that rhythmic thing. Little smoother than a digital delay just like you said about the mxr carbon copy. As always, great advice and great sounds! 🤘🎸
Awesome info! Do you ever plug modulation and delay pedals into the effects loop of the fryette power station for amps like Marshall's that use power tube distortion. I find the marshall sv20h can get muddy in the effects loop
Thank you for your videos. Do you still use Mesa Boogie amps? I watched your videos on the Mark V and it was life changing. I'm curious if you demoed the Mark VII?
For me, best delay pedal out there is the TC flashback. Im sure that new 2290 pedal is off the hook. For rack stuff or processing, gotta give it to Fractal.
I am also using the CLA Epic plugin by making a send on the guitar track. The guitar solo preset is a good enough place to begin for me. Nice and easy. Sounds good. If using a delay in the loop of my IR-X, I like my Belle Epoch Deluxe. It is a tape delay style pedal. The delay's EP-3 preamp does something nice to the tone, but it also has an echo record level control, so I can fine tune the echo to be very subtle. More subtle than a mix control allows. My Plexi clone does not have a FX loop. I recently bought a Warm Audio Warm Bender. I will run the Plexi a bit cleaner and get the distortion from the fuzz pedal. The fuzz will run into the tape echo unit. Add some wah to it and I should be able to get the tone of those first two harmonic notes in Dazed And Confused. A bucket list item complete. 😎
I think it might be the Dunlop Petrucci wah? I seem to remember him using this in one of his videos. But I could be wrong. Anyway this is a great wah and you can fine tune it with internal trim pots
Glad to hear thanks! I have Dunlop’s Petrucci, Hendrix, Cantrell & CAE and Fulltone’s Clyde Deluxe and those I use 😎. Atm I have the CAE on my live board and the Cantrell on my studio board.
I’ll need to look into this in the future. I haven’t had any time to film anything in the last month or so ’cos of my main job: touring, producing, recording & mixing. And obviously playing guitar and writing songs. Doing this kind of videos requires quite a bit of time to do properly and I don’t have that atm.
Just to keep things simple and instead of having two or four tracks from one cab I have only one or two. Commitment. It’s a lot faster and easier to mix when you commit to the sounds on the way in. Thanks!
Hey Euge, make a video about jcm 800 slaving (daisy chaining) another jcm 800, if it is the same as using the SD1 as booster etc. Thanks for the attention!
I have an old DD-3 ... I don't think mine is the Japan 'long chip' though - I bought one that was bit it was dead on arrival. Do you know if your DD-3 is a Japan one?
Hey Euge. I'm wondering if you'd find the time to test a certain DIY tube preamp. Watching your videos, I’m sure that the JCM 800 (boosted with SD-1) is the king of amplifiers. I'd like to have one, but of course prices are unacceptable. So I thought of something that could imitate the 800 (I'm not talking about DAW plugins) and came across a DIY tube preamp PCB board, based on the original JCM 800 (with 2 x 12ax7) circuit. I thought I'd give it a try (at first I wanted to solder myself, but it turned out that I could buy already assembled PCBs, and it would be up to me to make the chassis, assemble the tubes - small things). I fired up this board by plugging it into the FX RETUN (instead of the original preamp) of my EVH III 50W. The result was - FUCK YEAH. I'm enchanted. And now to the point - I'm wondering how this preamp compares to the real JCM800. Is it close to the original? It would be great to listen to it compared to the original (of course with the SD1 boost - the only right way). Probably it won't work with "Bad Boy", because there's no way to plug in this pedal instead of a preamp, but maybe you still have a JCM 800 with an effects loop, or the power amp module itself? If you are interested and have time, let me know.
I'm not a recording engineer but you can get very impressive gimmicks when guitar is recorded in with the all the pedals. At least save the take. I hate headphones giving the false impression of the sound while recording.
Yes. Whatever does the job in any given situation. I don’t like playing/recording with headphones either but a good set of studio monitors are awesome. Like my EVE SC3070s 👌🤟.

Delay is my favorite effect.

As always very well explained, a very big thanks for sharing your knowledge, this is public service. Congrats and keep the good work, keep rockin man.
Thank you very much!
Delay is cool, I love reverb in my leads. Makes it sound so full and beautiful
Personal preferences 👌.
DD-3 baby! Euge, you've always got some killer topics - thanks man 🤘
Thanks!
Cool video and nice playing! Thanks for advice.
Thanks Atte!
MXR Carbon copy is the Green Machine! My favorite delay out of 100's that I've tried. Love the DD series as well. Good video as alwasy Euge!
Yeah that’s what it was 😎. Thanks!
Love your videos man. You have the style of playing and tone I love. These help so much.
Glad to hear it! Thanks!
Great rundown on delay. Use the same Boss, it's my go to !
Thanks!
Your videos are very informative and complete. They answer all questions. Спасибо!
Thanks! Really glad to hear!
Thanks Euge!!!
You’re welcome thanks!

Yeah I have a delay in Power Station’s loop. I prefer cho, fla & phaser in front of the amp so no modulation pedals in there.
Thank you for your videos. Do you still use Mesa Boogie amps? I watched your videos on the Mark V and it was life changing. I'm curious if you demoed the Mark VII?
Thanks! I had a MK V for a while but didn’t use it much since I’m more of a Marshall & 5150 guy so I sold it.

Love your channel! What do you use for a Wah? I'm looking for a good wah that mixes with with a vintage JCM800 (2203)

Pleeease do a in the style of W.A.S.P. video. I’d love to learn more about their music, gear, tone, etc. 🙏🙏🤘
That’s a great idea! I would like to see that too.

@@EugeValovirta230V certainly understandable. Thanks for the reply, great content and awesome music!
Hi @euge valovirta why did you sum the 2 mics together? I could only think of not enough mic preamps? thank you :-) Love your Videos ♥

Glad to see that the super glue has fixed your broken finger!
👌😎
Nice video, dude! That's a sick guitar, too. I have my eye on an ESP USA M-1 and this video definitely isn't helping my GAS...
Thanks! 😎
Hey Euge, make a video about jcm 800 slaving (daisy chaining) another jcm 800, if it is the same as using the SD1 as booster etc. Thanks for the attention!
SD-1 is an overdrive pedal designed to drive tube amps (first preamp tube) into overdrive and JCM800 is a 100watt tube amp so it’s not the same 😁.

@@EugeValovirta230V Sure. Now I'm waiting for final chassis, so next week i'll send you more details with pictures
