It's nice to see Mike step up and start enjoying time spent with Nellie. One can see the love they have for each other AND how dedicated they are in helping Nellie.
What a sweet and charming couple! It's nice to see good, kind people who love each other and have lots of room in their hearts for the pup as well. Pretty refreshing! We have a rescue whippet-mix. And she really is one of the most sensitive critters I've ever known.
I think I would make the car a happy place with the treat parties before the car even moves. Get her used to going in hanging out and coming out before moving the car at all. But I bet she’ll make good progress over time. She’s a sweetheart. I have such a soft spot for sighthounds having an Italian greyhound myself 🥰
If I had a nickel for _every time_ Victoria helped a shy, easily frightened dog named Nellie.. I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that happened twice.
I think I would have started by desensitising her to the car, just by being next to it, then gradually being in it but without starting the car, then starting it for a few minutes and finally driving for a few minutes. progress is slow but it's still progress, and obviously food and games will really help her
OMG!! I did not read your comment regarding the " thundershirt ", right after I just made a comment about how thunder shirts are like a comforting hug for a frightened dog
Pur 3 wolf X Dane hybrids, hated riding in the van so much , just hearing us saying "car ride" , they would start drooling & dry heaving immediately. Seriously
I can feel how much she loves that dog. Good on her for getting help

Such a gentleman. Love these owners. Refreshing
The dog's name is Nellie/Nelly? She certainly lives up to the "Nervous Nellie" name, bless her.

@rogue7723 It's possible that the dogs are being named that because of their personalities.
Dogs would always have unexpected turns in human relationship. 👍 Up to both of the and lovely Nellie.❤

We use a thundershirt for long distance travel. She does great on short rides. And likes car rides.

Love ur knowledge so much and training myths Victoria ❤😊❤
Poor doggo needs earmuffs to muffle all the noise. Is that a thing that exists?
The dog playing like that reminds me of a cat😂😂
Racing breeds ARE VERY CAT LIKE

Italian Greyhounds are even more nervous
Haha that hotrod wasn't loud. I expected it to be 5 times as loud as it was.
They maje something called a "thundershirt" its a shirt thaf hugs the dog, to comfort it during thunderstorms and fireworks
Is it possible that Nellie could have experienced a car accident (before she was adopted by current family) and that’s why she behaves this way?
I already seen this repeat
At least she did not tear down the car seats like my sheep dog 😴🥵
They could put the dog in the other car that's not loud and noisy.
BRO IM SO LATE 3 HOURS AGO OMG😭😭😭

Wow, okay, your wife is full filled by her 🐶.
So you should more than compromise buddy
Why humans were ever allowed to ascend to the top of the food chain escapes any rational consideration.
