Wow! The way the dad actually altered his work schedule to make this work is unheard of! Mom is so much less stressed with an actual parenting partner. Jo did an amazing job with this family, and I must say it's my FAVORITE episode!
I agree! Especially those in the medical field &/or dental AND running two practices. Not something you see everyday. I think it was one of my favorites too. They seemed genuinely happier.
This couple were so humble about accepting their responsibility to change and admitting their mistakes. It's so heartwarming how quickly they remedied the many pitfalls they had fallen into. Absolutely beautiful couple-inside and out.
The fathers invovlement is priceless and I love how he sutpoted his wife. I noticed that the mother had really changed. she didnt look so tired and frustrated as before, the stress really was seen in her face. Wonderful transformation.
I like how quickly the kids picked up the rules and consequences faster than I've seen other families and that dad was actually happy to cut his work hours to help out more.
Sometimes you can think your doing the best for your kids and not realise that quality time with your kids can be so much better then putting so much stress on them. Them kids had way to many activities and not enough time with their parents I think Jo telling him opened his eyes.
I was especially impressed by the dad. I was expecting him to be one of those dads who continues to hide in his office rather than engage with the kids, but once Jo said he had to be more involved, he became more involved in every way.
I made the classic mistake when we had our first child that I had more time at home and I got more familiar with our child. But I wasn't informing dad or getting him up to speed, so I'd get frustrated when he helped "wrong". Took time and space to realise that I was turning away help because I wasn't taking the time to get him where I was. Feels like Jo really helped with that in this family
This is probably one of the best episodes I've seen where everything seems to go perfect with the parents and children, and how the parents genuinely care for the well-being of their children. Unfortunately we don't see enough of this on the show as we do here. I'm just glad everyone is cooperating perfectly
My best friend is Chinese and when she watched this episode, she just shook her head and said "Yep, how I grew up, I never went to bed earlier than midnight after activities and school work". She does not put her kids through all of that, and they are an amazing family.
This is one of my favorite episodes, especially because you can tell the parents love each other and are willing to work together to give their kids good/happy lives. Some parents on here seem like they never care/should have never even had kids.
I agree. You could see this poor mom was near her breaking point and had no idea how to get control back. She was doing what she thought best for her kids but no one was happy. Mom looked so much less stressed and happier at the end.
These parents actually were good parents. They just over scheduled the kids and themselves. Allowing them all the room to breathe helped the parents be able to parent. That is all. And the new house is amazingly beautiful!
@@MP-wz3buI think they lost sight of what is really important. However, it all came from good intentions. I like the parents and the kids. They will do great.
Not good parents if you’re ambitions override realistic expectations. Bad parenting is represented here. I’ve seen it all in the name of trying to make as much money as possible, using your children and not looking at your own challenges, individually and in your marriage, is the typical response. The children know they are not behaving appropriately.
“Isabella just ignore him” As the only daughter with two younger brothers… this one hurt. It’s so familiar. Boys will be boys and we just have to ignore it apparently
Yep. I've got 2 sisters and 2 brothers. If my and I were fighting, it was "knock it off or you're both grounded!!" If it was my brother being aggressive or violent, it was "just ignore him"

Great job pointing this out. My youngest struggled with his reading and writing. We sat together for twenty minutes to have him read to me out loud. He then wrote about what we had read and this little bit of time we had together helped him so much even his teacher pointed how how well his writing was :) Time spent with our kids should help their future 🎉

I’m also really glad they got it under control. I think being involved in that many things, would be WAY too much. I really like how Jo asked the parents to decide which activities they felt were mandatory.
Trust me when I say it's also an American thing my schedule was so packed at one point I was loosing sleep failing classes and having zero free time 😵💫
I was scratching my head over that statement too. My own never had that much going on at once. My 9 grand kids don’t either. I don’t know any families that over scheduled.
This was the most wholesome, pure family I've ever seen on this show. The love they have for one another and their kids was so obvious. They wanted to be better and they just did it! ❤
I felt so sorry for the poor Mom. You could see the stress in her face. At the end of the show, they all looked so happy and Mom even looked 20 years younger! ❤ Nice family and beautiful new home. Best wishes.
I was impressed with how the kids…as well as the parents…didn’t necessarily like what they were hearing about themselves at first, but they eventually embraced it all and all were able to make some positive changes in their lives. Impressive family. 👍
It’s not the mom as much as the dad who enjoys the fun parts like making all the kids and at times playing with kids but he usually is extremely lazy giving the difficult stuff to the mom. I get that he never admitted that but he was the problem and everyone seemed to protect him maybe because of culture. Imo

I loved watching the Duan-Ahn family benefit from JoJo's help. This family truly wanted to change and did. I am so proud of them all. This is my favorite Supernanny episode.
I agree with Jo on the extra curricular activities. It’s good that the parents are exposing them to all these activities. However, they are making it stressful for themselves and the kids by piling on too much. People need breaks for their mental health. I’m glad they were able to fix the schedule. 👍
@@crimsonfirelily Yeah, I think what made the parents so awesome was that they were open to Jo’s advice and they were willing to do whatever it takes to get them on the right track. The exercise Jo used to help them realize how busy their lives were was the best way to get them to realize their mistakes.
One of the best things my mum did was get me into activities when I was real young. Dance, art, gymnastics, swimming, etc. But crucially I didn't do them every day, I was an only kid, and my mum only continued with the ones I wanted to continue with. I wish she would have gotten me to stick to at least continuing classes in one of them (I continued art but didn't get trained which makes me sad), but it's good to not be stressful about these things. I do think ultimately it is far better to equip your kids with these skills and more ability in them then to not
Very sweet family.I think Dad was the key factor here helping mom to get the kids in line and not just throwing his hands up and leaving it all on her.Great Dad and Husband. The mom at the first of the video looked defeated but at the end she looked so happy and 10yr younger.I hope their oldest boy continues to thrive and do well he seemed like he had the most issues.
Very bright family. So glad they get to enjoy their kids more & entire family has less stress. I wish all parents could be so receptive to assistance. The kids are lucky to have these parents.
I love how the usual time out spot technique was customized to include practice with writing for Christopher. It addresses the discipline and also helps with what the parents were concerned about.
These parents were at least willing to allow Jo to help them. They explained things clearly and while at the meetings, the parents listened to what Jo said and tried to understand. They definitely put in great efforts in implementing Jo's techniques. On the whole, good parents who do care about their kids and how they can ensure their happiness and their future. I understand why they want so many activities; for exposure and understanding.
I think mom was using activities so other people had control of her kids because she was so frustrated and didn’t know how to discipline. Kids are smart and will take advantage but also smart to do the right thing and understand why they must do better. I really enjoyed this family because the parents both tried really hard and now they can enjoy their kids rather than hide from them! And yes at age 9-that’s just the beginning of expressive writing. Some writers never even learned to read until much older than that! They’ll be fine.
I think you aren't taking their Chinese culture into consideration. Their culture insists on academic, musical and artistic perfection from children, so she was doing everything she possibly could to get them to their many different activities. I'm so glad they listened to JoJo.
I really enjoyed this family. These parents seem like genuinely nice, sweet and amazing parents. You can really tell they love their children and they were so supportive working together on all the tools given to them.
I'm admiring the fact that this couple was willing to admit what they were doing wrong and was willing to change. My one question is: how can parents let things get so far out of control? who could live like that? well at least they're correcting their ways now and the kids are young enough so that still have time to grow into mature, disciplined adults
I just fell in love with this family!! It was so wonderful to see the change in their behavior. Mom and Dad really wanted to get solid advice from Jo. And the benefits they received because of it looked to be the best thing for them!❤❤❤
Lovely parents with who have excellent character and desires for their children. I love how they were courageous in letting go of some extracurricular activities and trusting that quality experiences will come to their children in other ways. One of the biggest mistakes I made with my children was putting them into too many activities after school. I’m so happy for these parents and his family to have honed down their activities and increased their ability to spend time with one another. They look so happy and that makes me happy.
Gosh, imo these parents had the best and most effective execution of Jo's suggestions out of any on the show!! They put the steps into action like pros!! Very glad for them and their family!
So you want children? It seems now if you don't want children there's a stigma. The idea of 9 months of morning sickness and labour at the end doesn't make me too keen either!
This family is so adorable. I love how they all worked so well together-they just needed slight guidance to be readjusted. I hope they’re doing well and mom & dad get alone time as well.
I wish we could see some behind the scenes of the episodes or never seen footage. It would be cool to see in depth everything that jo teaches them that we don't get to see in one episode
I came here for this comment! His imitation was on point and hilarious. Lol. That said, I thought this was one of the most fully invested families. Those parents really wanted the best for their family, were willing to make difficult changes and it showed.
Yeah that was literally cruel very cruel and then about the other one spitting in his sister's face oh my gosh these children have not been taught respect
@@kathleenpapaleo2720 That's what I think too and I bet those kids hated their Chinese lessons and whatever else because the parents wanted that. I bet they wished they could have quit those lessons but the parents wouldn't have allowed that.

What an amazing family. Great job by the parents implementing rules, behaviors, and supporting each other. They, by far have been the most receptive thst I've seen on this show at listening to Nanny and sticking with it. Kudos to both.
These are one of the most adaptable parents I've ever seen. Such an amazing transformation..
The parents are so humble. Glad to see how the changes helped this wonderful family. The mom is so beautiful. The best episode ever❤
The mother looked so tressed out. Almost collapsing. I felt sorry for her.
Those are really good kids. They were frustrated and tired. Good parents too!
Jo works miracles and brings peace to countless families. Well done Jo.
Lol your so right
Yes she does
I think mom was using activities so other people had control of her kids because she was so frustrated and didn’t know how to discipline. They’ll be fine.
nope, chinese stdent culute
I think you aren't taking their Chinese culture into consideration. Their culture insists on academic, musical and artistic perfection from children, so she was doing everything she possibly could to get them to their many different activities. I'm so glad they listened to JoJo.
Maybe you should have had listened what the reason was.😄
Not gonna lie 9/10 the dads totally drop the ball, but the dad really worked hard with Jo.
Dad's imitation of whining, is the best! 🤦🏽♀️😂.
I just fell in love with this family!! It was so wonderful to see the change in their behavior. Mom and Dad really wanted to get solid advice from Jo. And the benefits they received because of it looked to be the best thing for them!❤❤❤
What an amazing, loving family. I love these parents and how much they care. Dad is absolutely great. Love him
Lovely parents with who have excellent character and desires for their children.
All that house and the kids are sharing room? 😳 How excited was Christopher for that hug. 😢
I love this family and how they really listened to her advice and followed through with all of it.
So you want children? It seems now if you don't want children there's a stigma. The idea of 9 months of morning sickness and labour at the end doesn't make me too keen either!
@@becky2235 I’m 53 never wanted or had kids, never regretted it either 😁
@@becky2235 She never said she wanted kids? Just that they liked the fact the family listened to Jo.
@@becky2235what are you on about
This family is so adorable. I love how they all worked so well together-they just needed slight guidance to be readjusted. I hope they’re doing well and mom & dad get alone time as well.
The dad is willing to help and that’s amazing. Dad’s whiny voice 😂 imitating his son. I just loved this SUPER NANNY show. 🙆🏻♀️♥️🇺🇸
I liked the fact that mom looked so much more relaxed in the end! Really nice episode!
I NEVER get bored of watching these. Jo is fabulous . I almost wish I had kids for her to come and sort out 😂
I wish we could see some behind the scenes of the episodes or never seen footage. It would be cool to see in depth everything that jo teaches them that we don't get to see in one episode
Excellent idea!!
Second this
Get your own family
“And then they started throwing the pears at each other” not sure why but this made me laugh
Same 😂😂
The REAL office siren 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
I just know I'm gonna be watching this whole show in 20 years when I have kids
When the dad imitates the whining 😂
Best bit 😂
I came here for this comment! His imitation was on point and hilarious. Lol. That said, I thought this was one of the most fully invested families. Those parents really wanted the best for their family, were willing to make difficult changes and it showed.
I know!! It was so funny, he had it down pat 😂😂
He's hilarious 😂
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
The older sibling elbowed his sister. That really hurts.😢
Yeah that was literally cruel very cruel and then about the other one spitting in his sister's face oh my gosh these children have not been taught respect
Same with him spitting on his sister
“Why arent my kids acting right?”
*forces kid to do 19 extracurricular activities*
It's part of pErSoNaL DeVeLoPmEnT
My ADHD would have lived for this...but I was also an only kid until I was 10, so 😂
Those kids have an insane schedule. No play time. No friends. Very sad. Let them be kids.
@@kathleenpapaleo2720 That's what I think too and I bet those kids hated their Chinese lessons and whatever else because the parents wanted that. I bet they wished they could have quit those lessons but the parents wouldn't have allowed that.
@@Supersoccerchic Nah every kid complains, but culture and language is SO important. Jo was right, they'll thank them later. Growing up without that is how people lose their identity and struggle with it, especially as children of immigrants.
So very pleased with the outcome of Jo's training. These family was so ready for change. 🙏
32:43 The dads impression 😂😂
Gorgeous family..parents really took in what Jo taught and changed things....
Let's just hope the mother didn't put her kids back into all classes after Jo left. 😮
I would like to see Jo work with split custody parents. Teach them to work together.
This!!!
Jo’s all abowe teeechin em ‘ow’oo speek righhhght; she ain’t no schtoopee woomang.
She has done
I don’t know why I’m crying just watching the mum in the beginning, she looks so drained
Just when I think nobody could turn around these kids, Jo does it. Absolutely amazing.
She’s the real Nanny McPhee 👑
This family seems very wholesome. The parents seem very loving and want the best for the kids.
All they have to do is cut down on the after-school activities little bit
What an amazing family. Great job by the parents implementing rules, behaviors, and supporting each other. They, by far have been the most receptive thst I've seen on this show at listening to Nanny and sticking with it. Kudos to both. Hope they continue and the father continues spending quality time with his wife and children.
The little girl with the glasses is largely left out. The boys and the other girl act out and take all the attention. She sat defeated within herself.
Another great job Jo Jo.
That spit in the face would have made my mother pull over....and I would have woken up 24 hrs later.
Haha , same 😅
Ohhhhhh,,,, YES!
Hahahaa i would have woken up 24 years later 😅
After watching lots of jojos full ep. This dad is really one of the increadible dad in here. He want to be really involve in everyones businesses and I love how he communicates with his children. I also love how the mom never hit her children and very receptive to jojo 💜 i love this family.
These kids are listening and following and adjusting quite fast.... great to see such decent parents
It's like that in China. The kids have no time to play or to be quiet.
I taught over there. It's totally over the top
But I don't think this sort of behaviour would be tolerated there.
@@carolegreen9938 No, I didn't see any behavior like this. The kids accept the lifestyle. Covert behavior comes later - lying, deceit, etc. They won't disrespect their parents outwardly but the relationships aren't close
The unaliving rate is high there.
This was my favorite family from SuperNanny! She turned those kids, and parents right around!!!! ❤
I really like the mom, feel very sorry for her. She looks exhausted 😴 lovely family im glad all come good. Jo is fabulous ⭐
When mom says she means it, you know she means it 😂😂
These parents are so lovely. You can tell how much they love each other and the children. They tried so hard and embraced everything JoJo said. I loved this episode! ❤️
