Fallout 4: Hangman's Alley. Wasteland Trade Outlet and Bar. Full tour. (immersive, pc, modded)

- A wasteland, live-in Trade outlet center to challenge Diamond City, with 2 specialty shops. The Alley also boasts the best bar on the block, The Double R Bar, which happens to house a new, secondary base of operations for the Rail Road with its own secret escape tunnel. A back way out guarded by an agent undercover as a vendor. (the vendor in the water-filled tunnel next to Hangman's.)
*Also a little hunt for a certain somebody, where'd I put the Corn Flakes?
Build note: The Double R Bar and escape tunnel was built entirely outside of the build zone for Hangman's except for the one, facing wall. Using Place Everywhere I built everything one by one on the green side then moved it over to the red and placed. A very long process, but worth it.

This build is very robust for its small parameters. I really like how it climbs to the sky. And don't even get me started on the shops. Whoa. I started here once and I put a travel rug inside the wall of one of the buildings in and built an apartment inside its walls.
Hey there, and thanks! The Alley is definitely a challenge to build at. I figured as a trade spot the shops had to be a bit more in scope to compete with DC's shops. And that whole Rail Road base and bar, as soon as I saw I could remove that wall I knew it had to be there. Course with this build it just means I don't have to build here again for a looong time, lol.
I love how involved the Fallout community is dude, even with this game coming out as long ago as it did, i still remember the drop for it, but the fact mods have made it so much more immersive and enjoyable are awesome! Kudos big homie, i would love to only make Fallout content, but i feel what i like and others just isn’t worth the time i already have invested in the game
Agreed, and thank you! I remember it dropping as well, just didn't have a system to play it on till 2018. Since then I haven't stopped. Mods for story and quest content making it infinitely replayable for me. With the building now being a great creative outlet.
Wow, that was cool how you connected with the tunnel, really smooth transition from above ground to below.Great job with this palce! A perfect wasteland looking build and all the right details.
Sorry im late, didnt see the notification for this til today.
Liked the guy sitting there reading magazines too, cool realistic touch!
Hey, thanks for that! Behind that doorway wall you can see down to the tunnel and the npc pacing around, as soon as I saw that I knew I had to make an escape tunnel to it, the building was just a good excuse for it to be there, lol. Everywhere else is set at the actual game level ground so that's the only area you can go 'under'. As a whole, this was definitely a challenge to do justice with, but I'm happy with how it turned out and glad that others like it as well. And it's called being fashionably late, which I am a lot of the time, lol.
This is gorgeous, I love what you’ve done with the place! 💕 Now, that’s an armor shop! Great toy & comic book stores! They’re so cute, colourful and cluttered! 11:35! That was fun!!!❤ The bar is fantastic, and this must be a mod? You’re in a whole other building? Hidden shelf/doors…Magic Man! OMG, you’re underground! Goody, I didn’t even notice how…gotta go back! No nuka mixer or ladder, just stairs into a basement that leads to the sewer tunnels? 🤯Now, hangman’s has 3 exits! Very cool!
Hey there, and thank you very much! I really appreciate that. The whole of it was definitely an enjoyable labor. That armor shop had to be stocked hard just because of the area, no choice, lol. The specialty shops were a last minute decision cause I didn't want to do another standard general goods shop.
As for the Double R Bar, not a mod. That section of wall is scrappable with Scrap Everything, so I took it out and was able to build behind the building fronts, with access down to that section of tunnel. The whole inner building structure for that I built on site. All the buildings are just skins with collision. From the back side, they are invisible and you can pass right through, one way. That's how I used the tunnel exit I made. You can get out through the decal skin but you can't go back in. Used the bulkhead door as a showpiece to sell it. Used Place Everywhere to build it all because it's all out of zone.
And yeah, you found it, lol. Not hidden, just out of the way, lol. Thanks again!
Amazing build here at hangman's alley, authentic looking and really nice details!!
I thank ya'! Wasn't sure if all the ideas were going to work out but it's not bad..
There are many criticism of Hangsman's alley for being too cramped and tight, but i think that limitations really spark the creativity. I like this small shops in the street. Also appreciate some custom interior work. I guess, its hard to resist the temptation to use this space for smth) Great job🔥
Hey there, buddy, thank you! I usually do just enough to satisfy site requirements, with a little extra defense, then never come back, lol. So yeah, this was a big build for me, the cramped area motivating me up. For a trade alley, had to have the shops low, with the more unique up a level. And if you mean the Double R bar, that was a fun spot to build, inspired pretty much on the spot. A Rail Road subHQ needs an escape tunnel. But you know me, there's always got to be a little something extra somewhere, that's what makes it fun for me. Again, thank you. I appreciate!
Wow! Just... Wow... This is an incredible build! The scrappy feel is amazing and there is so much detail here! I am going to have to re-watch this video loads of times to try and see it all... I love your use of space (both vanilla and that which you have created with mods), and I particularly love the way you have very cleverly connected Hangman's with the trader in the nearby partially flooded road tunnel. Having recently suffered a file corruption I am having to start again from scratch with all of my settlements. So this play-through I have decided to go with a Scavv-theme ("Unique Scavs" mod made the choice really). So the scrappy wasteland survivour vibe you have mastered here is just exactly the kind of feel I am going for in my current play-through.
Thank you, brother, I appreciate that! I definitely pushed my imagination with this build, and went absolutely gonzo with the deco. lol. I discovered that that section of wall face where I placed the RR Bar doorway, it's scrappable using scrap everything and exposes the backset of the Alley facade. So your inside the buildings and see the exposed build of the underpass, with the vendor just pacing back and forth. Once I saw that I knew I had to use it somehow, and it all fell together after that. The only hard part was lining up that tunnel and the building so I could get it over there. That and that doorway also marks the edge of the build zone so I had to use the place everywhere mod for every single piece to set them in the red zone. Every single piece..
And as for this build run in general, I'm having a ball with it. Loving it hardcore, lol. And I also have a Scavver mod, Scavver faction RedRocket workshops: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/51448
It adds an actual Scavver faction to the game and use the RR stations around the Commonwealth that you can work your way into. I haven't gotten that far in it yet but it's cool as heck to see patrols of them walking around. The thing that really helped get into that scrappy, wasteland mindset for me was making this a MM-free game. I've left Garvey and crew in Concord, haven't even 'discovered' the city. Also, no being friendly with BOS. Just full-on RR. So no organized anything. RPing it, took my modern vibe out of the mix cause my guy has no ties to the settlements other than just being there on the sly for the RR. That leaves the building to the settlers, so I'm basically RPing SIMS with them putting up whatever makes sense to use on the spot. If that makes sense, lol.
Thanks again, and good luck with the run.
@@OctumLXV I guessed that you had used something like Scrap Everything and Place Anywhere to achieve the link between the two locations. It's certainly how I might go about it IF I had the patience to place every single piece with the extra steps required to do so. And that's a big "IF"...
I had issues this playthrough with Preston locking himself and crew in the office despite me clearing all of Concord and the Museum of raiders. So at that point I decided to go "factionless" for the play-through, partly so that I could try out the mod Unique Scavs. Your mod suggestion looks interesting. I have played with a similar one, though I forget what it was called. If I ever manage to get my Steam edition of Fo4 working again, I will have to look into that one. Currently I am running the Microsoft Playstore edition, which limits me to only using mods that I can access within the game sadly. Still I am having quite a bit of fun playing as a "freelance" character with no affiliation to any faction. It means I can concentrate on the building aspect, which is what keeps me playing this game.
Great job!!! I play fallout four on PS five and there’s no way the PS five can handle all that decorations. Makes me wanna go buy an Xbox. Great job looks amazing
Hey there, and thank you for that! I'm running PC and with this one definitely pushed the build limits. I think it was about 6x over, it didn't kill the FR though so I'm happy about that. I think my One X would have given up at about the halfway mark, lol. Thanks again for commenting, I really appreciate that!
Wow, this is really great! Super packed with details, and it is much larger than I expected. That toy shop is sweet! Top notch build!!!!
Cheers!
Thank you much, I appreciate that! Had to push my brain for this one, lol. I did the toy and comic shops simply because I did not want to do another, basic, general goods shop. And I figure they are in the midst of down town with all that real estate to scavange through so if anybody can get a load of toys and comics, it would be these guys, lol. As I recall you've got a pretty sweet Alley build yourself, so cheers back to ya' my friend!
Awesome alley build!
This is insane!! 😮 Amazing!
Thank you so much, I appreciate that! This was a fun build to put together so I'm glad people are getting some enjoyment out of it. Thank you again.
Looks great man Bethesda should have done stuff like this in a bunch of the alley ways throughout the city.
You got this done quick great deco again really fits the build!
Hey, thanks, brother! Every once in a while I think about using Commonwealth Geck Project mod and doing something like that through Boston. Would be a long process. I don't think I'd go through this level of deco for it all though, lol.
@@OctumLXV yeah I think the game would implode it can get choppy round there as is ! Would be awesome though cyberpunk/blade runner esq !
Most Fallout 4 settlement locations are pure trolling from Tod. You could pick random coordinates on the map and that would be likely better.
Indeed.
Sick build man you able to do a mod list or something I doubt I could build something this good but I wouldn't mind giving it a try at red rocket 🚀
Thanks, man! I put a mod list in the description. And yeah, I did up a RR as well, it's a classic site so just had to, lol. Thanks again and good building to ya'.
Sick. Did you stack all the little ammo boxes by hand or is there a mod? I’m using Place Everywhere- but couldn’t imagine how long that would take!
Thanks, brother, I appreciate! I'm guessing you mean in the gun store. Pretty sure those are in, Snappable Clutter and Display. Various calibers of stacked ammo boxes, cause yeah, that would take forever, lol. Though, in my Tenpines build, in the underground shelter, I built a pallet of Corn Flakes boxes that I had to place box by box. Like 90-something boxes. Only took about half an hour I think..., bigger boxes, lol...
Your avatar looks like Gary from the Nerdrotic channel = was that intentional?
Uh, no, since I don't know who or what that is. It's literally an aged, roughed up version of Nate from the facial presets.
How do you pack so much in a settlement and your game doesn’t crush?
Honestly, I don't know, lol. High luck factor?
Watching your builds got me back in the game. I downloaded some of the mods you mentioned and now it is a completely new game! Thanks for sharing your work! Keep it up.
@@moisesromero6490 I'm humbled, and thank you! That means a lot. Cool getting back into it, that's awesome. I hope you have some good building ahead. With my mod list, I've rearranged a little so I have an updated version on the newest video for the Tenpines build I'm working on. And again, thank you, and good building to ya'!
have you ever kissed a girl
Yes, yes I have. They're like, pretty cool!
