Are all fish shipments free FedEx overnight to your business or residence? Or do we have to pick them up from the airport?
They can be delivered to your home/business. If you'd prefer to pick them up at a FedEx facility you can do that too
What temp should I store Golden Shiners??
We would recommend the water temp be 60-65 degrees
Going to be adding a bag of brooder size shiner and a bag of the 3 inch…this is a mature 25 acre pond in FL. Has 6-7 lb bass and tons of blue gill but almost no shiners. My goal was to make a breeding population of shiners for the bass. You think this will work? What is the best time for me to order? Gets hot again here in late Feb March
Not really, because the shiners will get eaten by the bass before they ever breed.
To establish a breeding population of shiners, it needs to be stocked first in a new pond 1 season before the bass goes in there.
To establish a breed ing population of shiners, you need tons of structures like old Christmas trees and artificial trees for the fish to breed and hide in.
If the lake is 25 acres, you need at least 8 pounds or 2 bags per acre, which means you need 50 bags of breeding size shiners to do so.
Also, stock the shiners during the cool times to not heat stress them out.

What is the best month to stock fatheads so they (a) don't get rapidly consumed and (b) can reproduce?
In the spring when the water reaches 60-65 degrees in terms of spawning.
In terms of survival only the pond owner can answer that. How hungry are your fish? Do you see lots of forage now or have they been consumed and the game fish are starving? Do they have cover to hide from predators? How many fatheads are you stocking? All these are just some of the many variables that come into play when trying to predict survival. You can always call our office and speak to one of our team members and we can help you come up with what would be a good stocking rate. Great questions!!!!
How do you keep ammonia from killing the fish with so many trapped in a plastic bag?

I.F. Anderson Farms hey thank you guys for the info, i live around oklahoma city and its getting tough finding bait shops, when you do the minnows are really too big it seems for the crappie, i love fishing with small minnows.
I.F. Anderson Farms im going to try and work out a plan to set up a holding tank at my house, i have well water so thats one good thing working for me and i also keep aquarium fish in the house so i have a lot of spare equipment, water pumps and air pumps. I would like to build a continues fresh water drip or trickle system where fresh water is coming in and going out. I might have too much thought into the system IDK LOL but when im ready for fish and put in a few to start the bio system with pond matrix and the water peramaters are ok i will defiantly be ordering a few pounds from you guys!

We do not. We have golden shiners, fatheads, pink fatheads, goldfish, and black salty baitfish
Buy minnows every year for crappie fishing. They always arrive the next day and all healthy. If you follow instructions, you'll have no problems.
