    *Read me!* (and also read the description of the video). This is an advanced video, not aimed at beginners. You should know the basics of the 3x3 cube, notations and basics of the Roux method as prerequisite for the video. I mention a lot of things scattered throughtout the video. Do take a note of them. I have tagged some of them with 'Note', but use your own judgment and note the other things you think are important which I haven't tagged with 'Note'. Timestamps for the important parts are given below, and scrambles for the examples are also given alongside the timestamp. If I'm missing anything, please mention it, and I'll edit and add it in this comment, or in the description. *Subscribe for more cubing content, like the video, and comment your thoughts and improvements for me. Do share the video on your social media, which helps the video gain exposure* :) . The next video in series will be Second Block, Lookahead with Roux, Improved videos on LSE/advanced LSE/EOLR, and Roux inspection and what to look out for during the first 15 seconds. I have some other videos planned, apart from Roux related videos, so stay tuned for them, and *press the 'Bell' icon to get notified when I upload new videos*. Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in my next video :)

    You can start with any color for colour neutrality with roux

    • @criticalcubing
      @criticalcubing  5 років тому +3

      Yes, the full CN vs x2 y CN, the tradeoff for full CN isn't worth it, for little gain, and adds complexity to the solve, without giving an equivalent exchange.

    Should I learn all of the first block approaches?? I just learned Roux like yesterday and I use DL approach I was going to switch to square but maybe using all of them would be better

    • @criticalcubing
      @criticalcubing  5 років тому +3

      Yes, learn all of them and see which one you can use for what scramble. Not every scramble can be solved efficiently with DL only, or square only, why its good to have a mixture of approaches, so no matter what the scramble is, you're ready with an efficient solution.

    Is it bad to be CN with roux with any colour on base? im currently averaging 20 sec with any colour on the base, and red orange green and blue on sides. Will this have a negative effect later on (sub 10 ect)?
    thanks for the informative video!

    • @crashtest_crashtest
      @crashtest_crashtest 4 роки тому +1

      Hi! i dont think its necessarily a bad thing, but i think it is useless. x2 y color neutrality can easily produce the desired effect and, as critical stated, will guarantee a 5 move solution. While cfop needs complete cn, roux's intuitiveness and the heavy usage of the middle layer makes up for full CN. i recommend focusing on CMLL (if you dont know it yet) and learning to be more fluid on LSE. for me, i am working on my first two blocks, because i constantly average like 10 seconds with it :/ hope this helped!

    • @rouxboat9067
      @rouxboat9067 4 роки тому

      @@crashtest_crashtest thanks!, I think I will persevere with it at this point as I am pretty fluid with CN, but i will finish CMLL (2 subsets to learn) and work on LSE now. (and learn EOLR)
