The cube has nothing to do with the result unless you are upgrading from a rubik’s brand or a really sh**ty budget cube. You can get identical results with a Valk m vs a Valk Power m

Sune: I made some calculations an came to conclusions:
If 0 or 2 yellow are up, then "fix" the one corner, that just needs 1 turn clockwise to yellow, do sune, then fix the one yellow corner, do sune. Solved.
If one yellow is up, fix it and do 1 or 2 times suno. Solved.
    No other options there.

CMLL!! I CMLL'D!! Thanks for the easy to follow tutorials! I thought Roux was outta hand, as the guy I learned my first ever rubix solve via beginner CFOP (accomplishment 4 me, since the cube defeated kid me), had his Roux tutorial and I got lost in between first and second block. I thought I'd have to learn more CFOP and algos to build cube knowledge (know what to do to get certain pieces to certain locales on the cube) as he's an CFOP / OLL / PLL / F2L expert before tackling Roux but I'm Roux'in now.

I learnt cfop first but wanted to try this method to see how it works. It is different. After watching the first two videos and solving blue side and then green I was able to figure out the rest without watching video 3 as I know the algorithms for cube already. Was never much of a m move user because cfop didn’t need it. So what I noticed is that the only moves left where m moves and u moves and the wide m moves so I used those moves, only difference is instead of the x I got the o and then I oriented the cube until all the whites where on the bottom and all the yellows with on the top then I was able to do PLL and then OLL. The middle all matched up so it was basically the same as cfop moves after that.

It's shorter if you permute corners before orienting them. It's a 9 turn sequence with the only difference being the 5th turn (U, U' or U2). Corner orientation is the same as in video (doesn't swap them). I'm assuming this is done with yellow on top. See if the two corners with red are adjacent and if so, face them towards you (use U turn). Otherwise, the two corners with blue will be adjacent so face them towards you (use U turn). Look at the color of the corners. If red corners face you, blue should be on left and green should be on right. If blue corners face you, orange should be on left, red should be on right. The corners may already be in place, the front two swapped (left right), the rear two swapped (left right), or both front and back swapped (left right).
    swap front - L' U' L F U F' L' U L
    swap rear - L' U' L F U' F' L' U L
    swap front+rear - L' U' L F U2 F' L' U L
This is a turn pattern that I figured out on my own back when Rubik's cube was first sold in the 1980's. You could also mirror the moves using R moves instead of L moves.
    swap front ----------- R U R' F' U' F R U' R'
    swap rear ----------- R U R' F' U F R U' R'
    swap front+rear - R U R' F' U2 F R U' R

yeah, you probably know now, but that’s just a rotationless A perm

Can I use OLL algs to solve cmll?

I think it'd be better if they do Y perm instead for the case with no matching headlights instead of 2 J perms.

Aren't you performing u2 in sune for cmll wrong as i think you are performing u2 prime

Gah, I wish I had seen this video first, I got used to doing a different J-Perm variant that has an extra move in it compared to this one. [(R U R' U') (R' F R2) (U' R' U') (R U R' F')]. Your version puts R U R' F' at the beginning instead of the end, and saves an extra U' (that would otherwise be at the end, if maintaining the complete move groups). Shouldn't take much for me to adjust, though, just need to retrain the muscle memory. I noticed that doing it twice from a solved state to test actually still required the extra U' at the end to resolve the cube, though at the stage at which one is performing a normal Roux solve it seems unnecessary (unless it might then require an extra move later on, it might be interesting to test).

This is not a variant, it is a T perm which might be useful in some cases to influence LSE

I already know cfop with 4 look last layer. What are some of the alg in 4 look last layer should I apply in roux other than sune and j perm?

Use the corner orientation algs (sune, antisune, FRURUF, sexy sledge....etc.) for orienting corners and then use J and Y perm for permuting

    Hi Kian
is it ok to use OLL alg to solve corner orientation? (Cross solved cases -5 cases) instead of repeating sune ,
Or this will slow me down?

    • @Kian_Mansour
      @Kian_Mansour  6 років тому +1

That will be faster than the beginner roux method but slower than full CMLL. We generally call that method "2-look CMLL" which is the intermediate variation

Yep, you can do that! I made this video for beginners who don't know any algs, but if you know how to do CO faster then by all means go ahead. In the end you wanna learn full CMLL anyways.
