Agree with your review on the Thrustmaster TFRP Pedals: In neutral there is a sort of "stickiness" where you have to use force to get the pedals to move forward. Makes for a very uneven pedal movement and difficult to get aircraft on the centre line for takeoff or taxiing.
@Sky Samurai You can use any grease that will not damage the plastic. I use normal vaseline. Grease for suspension forks should also work well, anyway it should stick well.
Thanks for the direct comparison. Recently, I got the BF 109 and taxiing that thing with but a controller or a twist rudder joystick is next to impossible since you have to rely on differential brakes to turn. Going for the Saitek pedals. I think the wider spacing is more comfortable in the end and the option to set the rudder tension is a big plus too.
I have never bought sim equipment before, beyond a heavily specialised tank gunner control handle from a private company that doesn't distribute online, this video was SO HELPFUL! Thank you, you are very well spoken and a helpful man. I appreciate your work and will be choosing the Saitek design!
The best review I could have asked for no one seems to show the way they function like this! Helps me decide where to start on pedals as I have been trying without pedals which has proven rough.
Great demonstration! Thank you much! You could also use Self-Adhesive Hook and Loop fastener, which i use to fix the left pedal of my kickdrum double pedal on carpet. Could work on non carpet floors, too, if you find one that comes with both sides of the hook and loop AND is self-adhesive. The one that i use on carpet is really strong and sticks to the metal plate forever.
I initially fixed the awful stickyness of the TM TFRP pedals with some silicone spray. This however made them too slippery. Then I bit the bullet and ordered some Nyogel 767A from German Amazon and applied it. At first, it felt weird. Too much resistance at times, too little at others, but I just needed to wear it in. They're perfect now, except for the horrible creaking noises when in use. I know they're some of the cheapest rudder pedals you can buy, but they're still way too expensive for something that feels so cheap and plastic-y.
@@NicReid4 via USB provided you've got version with USB cable (standalone). If you buy it with the full 16000m set, I think it comes with RJ45. Keep it mind if you plan on buying used one.
Those thrustmaster pedals gave me pain and neuropathy in my legs. Unless you are very short or a kid they are worse than nothing. If you want a decent rudder set you won't find it for cheap. Be prepared to spend if you plan to put serious time into using them. Ultimately I bit the bullet and got the thrustmaster pendular rudders. Expensive but I wish I had done it years ago.
Recently I want to buy Thrustermaster T16000M FCS Hotas and is wondering about if I should buy pedals too (due to nice discount for Flight Pack containing the pedals). It seems I should save money since my already owned Saitek one works better. 😆
Thrustmaster do their job until the cheap plastic at the base of the pedal snaps after 4 months of use because of the design of the pedal that applies pretty much all force coming from your foot to a very small area under the pedal where the pedal pillar connects to the sliding base. Definitely cannot recommend.
thank you for the video! unfortunately logitech saitek is not to easy to buy right now inside europe. there are no new devices. :( Update: Now I ordered the Turtle Beach Velocity Rudder Pedals. Do you have any experience with them?
Almost impossible to find either of them in Greece at the moment... Even the Thrustmaster pedals are not in stock... I have a friend who works for the Greek importer of thrustmaster and they don’t even have an estimate on when they will get them 😰 After weeks of searching I finally found a used set of thrustmaster rudder for 80€ and I’m debating on whether I should get it 😰 I know I want the Logitech’s but I can’t find them 😰 I’m so confused...
The wall issue on the Thrustmaster is entirely dependent on your set-up. If you have a problem, you really don't have to be Einstein to make a spacer block.
do yourself a giant favor and dont buy either of these and just spend 100 bucks more and get the MFG Crosswind pedals. I promise you you will be so much happier.
thanks for the comprehensive review! no other review on UA-cam was as good
Thank you. Cheers!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video to help others.

Exacly )))
If you don't try it until now, put some vaseline or other grease on each metal pipe. I had the same problem and with grease it feels much more better.
Also,I have the thrustmaster it is so buggy on left rudder, only half travel detected. Consider to buy the logitech rudder now.

Thank you for this review, I was debating between the two. I think I'm going to go with the Logitech

This helped me make my decision! Thanks a lot for making this.
Thanks for the review, didn't want to go over 200+ dollars on rudder pedals. This helped my decision.
Thanks for the review. I appreciate the honest comparison.

Thank you so much. I'm with you, I find the Logitech Saitek Pro Flight Rudders and buy them. Hopefully a Christmas sale.
good video and great notes on both of the pedals!
07:50 €65 for the thrustmaster ? You mean ’used", not new, itissold 100€ now
Thank you for your review, very complete and detailed
Well done! I wasn’t sure which one I should get. Now I know. Thanks! 🕹️ 👍🏻

Thanks very good review and helpful on deciding which to purchase.
Thank you to. )))
I also like saitek one. I’s so durable. I have it since 2012 and still working perfectly
Logitech Saitek for me as it has the foot pedals wider apart.
Yes, me to like it more. )
great video, thanks!
great review man
I thought you could change the spacing with the Thrusmasters?>?
thank you for the review
Why not just stick a piece of a non-slip rug underneath the Logitech pedals instead of cutting out a piece of wood?
Thank you for good review
You are welcome! Cheers!
can i use those items on macbook pro m1 ?
Thx bro u right i will wait to logiteck to come to inventory agreed but what is the cost
Cheers bro!
Will thrustmaster pedals work with saitek pro flight yoke?
Hello, yes.
Yes but you need an adapter to connect to the pc
Hello. Great review. The Logitech G are compatible with the Hub of Honeycomb for Xbox Series S? I hope you can help me with my question.
Hello, I don't know for that really. )))
Are they usable also for ps4 or for only pc?
Hello this one only for PC.
@@almedinfilms8390 thank you
Does a Logitech pedals work with Xbox series X
Thank you, kind man! You just saved me from buying Thrustmaster pedals
Saitek has had an issue with the toe plastic rocker plate breaking, by the spring hook. Dp newer Saitek rudders have a stronger rocker bracket?
looks good for me for now.
I have a thrustmaster hotas one joystick would the saitek work for that?
Yes for sure, it has a separate usb connection.

Question will the logitech pedals work with Xbox series x? I am looking to but the turtle beach yoke and I already have the logitech pedals.
Turtlebeach has its own specific pedals Logitech pedals are compatible with alpha xpc and xbox hubs
I think not for now, but I think they will add support for xbox also becouse of MSFS for xbox. )))

Looks like Logitech removed the wall spaces for the Saitek Pedals.
Yep, good review, I assume your Polish, living in the UK ?
Why are they so noisy? Do you know if they will work on Xbox 😊

ok with you, but if you look in an airplane cockpit you will see the pedals are like trhusmaster, very close together
I dont know but I think for sure no in airbus and boeing. )))
As someone who works in cockpits all the time, Logitech spacing is more realistic
You sound a bit like Alex Terrible 😅

I think it is good point he made about having the pedals up against the wall, especially if pedals are on slick surface
