same I played like 80 hours on my first play through and the moment I got into ng+ I read a thing on the floor saying you can jump

Yeah, for longer runs and stuff with a lot of stuff its great. Shorter runs or runs with less stuff to explain, not having pauses helps the video flow better imo.

I'm surprised how much of this speedrun is actually using skills that would be known by normal players. More specifically manipulating enemy AI, pathing around them in a specific manner, learning how to menu quickly, these are all things players tend to be encouraged to learn by the game itself.
It is mind blowing, i could've saved so muuuuch time and rages just by being smarter with the game !
My favorite skill a game teaches me is to jump out of bounds in bloodborne to trigger the shadows of yarham bossfight but freeze the AI so that I dont have to deal with the fuckers.

@@bruhbwoi3618 OG Blighttown on DS1 for the PS3 had so awful frame drops that the area would be unplayable at times, ironically that somehow contributed to the awful and chaotic feel that the area is supposed to give off, but it was horrendous to play not knowing where the next bonfire will be and thank god remastered fixed that.
Everytime I hear tomato say no feeling is final or he catches me off guard with something like that it really helps a bunch, it really helps to be reminded of that and I hope he keeps doing it💜

Man. Never been so glued to my screen in a long time. Perhaps its cause I played dark souls for the first time right before the pandemic hit in December 2019, so not that long ago. I've tried watching runs of this game before but the explanations this time around were literally perfect and I was able to understand *everything.* For the future, I dont mind you pausing the run to explain stuff and then letting it play back by itself. If anything it signals that a big trick is coming up which makes you want to learn what's going on even more. 10/10 my man, keep it up

I enjoy the "pause and explain" sections. You apologize for them a few times, but I like them.
I'm just glad runners eventually found a significantly better method of setting up the wrong warp. There used to be a waaay more out of the way method involving the purple crystal you get from the DLC and using that to wrong warp past the Kiln.
That one is still used in certain categories 😬

Hey Mr. Anus, I just wanted to say thank you for always putting your signature "no feeling is final" speech in every video. It's always nice to hear. My legs stopped working out of nowhere when I was getting ready for work 4 days ago and the doctors haven't found the cause yet. It's safe to say that my mental health has really been on the decline because of it. Hearing someone say something other than "I hope you get better", "that's terrible" or even just all the things people think might have caused this was really refreshing. Once again, thank you.

Man, i have found your channel in the Fallout Anthology run aswell as Regole's run at the GDQ, and i had so much fun watching it. With your explanations only making it better, i wanna get started at speedrunning and i'm thinking of beginning with Dark Souls glitchless since i'm very familiar with the game, but out of every glitch, moveswapping is the one i'm least familiar with but i guess it's just practice, my average time was around 3h10min, and now i just wanna improve on that, thanks for the heart-to-heart too, it helps me and others so much!
Yo I can't even beat it with a playthrough and you and regole here speedrunning this amazing game just amazes me, either way I'm happy to be here and watch this amazing stuff! I didn't even know the "cute skip" was a skip I always got lost trying to find the intended way onto that walkway so I always used the skip

Any plans on doing one of these for Halo: Combat evolved? There's been so many skips found in that game that it reminds me of the recent doom games with constant out of bounds and just skipping entire combat sections. I think it could make for a good video if there's members in the community willing to help ^^
