I always felt that any version of Bats voiced by Kevin Conroy was the "perfect" Batman. Maybe the writers always just gravitated that way, given the man recording the voice is also, basically, the perfect Batman.
Or, if Kevin Conroy's performance just always made Batman sound like he knew exactly what was right, like he knew the solution for everything.
Either way, RIP Kevin Conroy, the greatest Batman to ever do it :/

Great video! Personally Battinson is my favorite live-action Batman due to the characterization behind him. A version of the character who lacks the empathy that he's known for, who's only interested in the Batman persona. It was neat to see his growth in the film especially the final few scenes where he realizes that vengeance isn't the ideal way.

There's just so much nuance in each game and how tightly they strung everything together was just ungodly
I think my ideal version of Batman is Arkham's baseline but with the heart and soul core of BTAS' interpretation, which is my favorite.
Arkham is also some of the best integration of both realism and fantastical elements, aesthetically. Best batsuit too, obviously.
The arkham is basically should be the foundation for any live action batman. They dont really even need to innovate they can just yank it off and paste it in the movies. The bat suit in arkham knight combined the realism and the comic book version of the suit. Its basically how i pictured he would look in real life but maybe with a mouth guard.

The only real problem with this batman is that he's basically invincible.
Due to the videogame format, it's impossible for this Batman to lose against any enemy, no matter how ridiculously powerful it is, because that's the challenge for the player, and the player has to beat the game.
If you take every single gameplay moment as cannon, then he's practically a metahuman. Bruce Wayne's humanity is the only element missing for this Batman to be perfect.
Yeah agreed. I get why criminals fear him but he doesn't feel human.
He arguably loses to Joker in city. Talia dies and he “kills” joker or atleast continues to blame himself for it up until the day he dies. More of a moral defeat but hey the guy is essentially unbeatable
this Batman has one weaknesses his heart because when ever he's backed in a corner he allows his emotions to control him.
Arkham Batman is almost unbeatable physically but not emotionally and psychologically. Joker outsmarted him in Arkham city by having Clayface act as his double. In Origins, saving Joker from falling to his death led Joker to take over Blackgate and kill a lot of cops, guards and inmates. In Knight, his mind succumbs to the fear toxin and he became Joker for a short period of time until scarecrow injected "Joker" thus making Batman take control of his mind again. Not to mentioj that he lost Jason and Talia to Joker.

I love the way Arkham frames fights. Most fights start easy and you can just punch and kick your way to victory. But as the game progresses, the bad guys become more plentiful and they become more armed. You have to earn your victories. You can just walk in front of a guy with a gun and rely on kung fu to win. That, to me, is when Batman action is at it's best. You can overcome all sorts of odds, but you have to do it with skill. It's not like the Adam West Batman or the Dark Knight Rises where Batman's surrounded but he beats up everyone anyway and nobody with a gun can do a thing.
I dont think anyone can be the definitive batman. Btas and arkham basically set the standard, unless they can manage to find an actor who looks like bruce wayne, has conroy's voice or something close to it and have the combat skills and suit of arkham knight combined with the heart and soul of BTAS.
The one thing the Arkham version of Batman got alittle fishy was making Batman too strong and not showing that he’s still human, like some of his best moments in the comics. But then you get Joker tricking him, him needing to get saved by Robin and Catwoman. Him needing Gordon in Origins to help.
So I remember that and it reminds me of how amazing he actually was. BTAS Batman is still my favorite but Arkham is a close second. Very very, can barely tell, close second.
Batman's very human in Origins. He's actively trying to be a force of nature when he's still a man, he's very humble in Asylum and City, and then he gets emotional when Alfred got hurt.
He is human in most of the Arkham Games. In City Catwoman saved him, in Knight Jason saved him. He was outsmarted by Joker and Scarecrow. He feels like a human only a perfect Batman.

It was also refreshing to hear a positive reflection on Arkham origins, so many videos I watch seem to shit on the game but it was great in its own right 💪 the question 'Which batman would fit right in with the Justice League?' is an important one. I couldn't imagine Bale's batman in the JL but without a doubt the Arkham batman could which shows that it's closer to being the most complete Batman. I've seriously got the itch again to play the Arkham games 🔥

Arkham Batman is the best Batman for me as well. He’s just everything that makes the character great. Plus with Kevin Conroy being the voice, it’s the cherry on top.

I agree with that being said didn't even scratch the surface with how intelligent Batman actually is. The games made his detective skills completely reliant on his tech that Lucius built. Decades before Lucius was even created Batman was stated to being a master scientist and the greatest detective like holmes (Cumberbatch and Downey Jr). On the scientific front he's cured an alien virus BY HIMSELF. Lastly in the films he ALWAYS should be a NINJA think about the NINJA assassin movie.
That just makes Batman a boring Gary Stu

Deathstroke is my favorite character! Honestly if Arkham origins was going to make Deathstroke that easy to beat the character should've been Prometheus. Show Prometheus giving Batman issues at first then once Batman noticed how his abilities work Prometheus then because very easily beatable.
Not having his in action in one of the games is a huge missed opportunity.
I wish we got more Ben Affleck Batman, like he said he was very resourceful and smart. And better yet a gritty Batman that won’t kill you but will make you wish you were.
A lot of the things you mention here are great points, however I think many of them if not all apply to Batman’s interpretation in the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited Animated series, which I kind of see as the peak for the development of Kevin Conroy’s Batman. The Arkham Batman is definitely a fantastic version of Batman and one of the greatest if not the best superhero game franchises.

I think Arkham Batman is so good because he is a complete Batman. Like we see him do the iron man thing where he gets better and more skilled with every game. You see the beginning and the end, it’s a full story Batman
And you see him break down more and more. The line between him and Bruce becomes more and more blurry. In asylum he’s pretty much all Batman besides the scarecrow stuff. In knights, he turns himself in just because he can’t risk those close to him. Such an amazing character and it’s so fun to play as him

The amount of Gadgets in the arkham knight game is INSANE!!
Obviously in the bigger scale, the DCAU had a lot more time to flush Batman out as a solo entity in his own city, as a member of the larger Justice League, and then even as a senior mentor to the future Batman in Batman Beyond. The Arkham games push aside the larger world to focus intensively on Batman's career start to finish with just him and Gotham. Both takes have their pros. Batman: TAS is obviously less dark than the Arkham series (because it's technically a kid's show that simply has appeal to a wide audience). It's hard to put Arkham above it when Arkham draws and ultimately owes its existence to Batman: TAS to begin with. In short, Kevin Conroy is just the best. XD

I always preferred Frank Miller's Batman. Especially how he's characterized in The Dark Knight Returns. This dark, old Bruce Wayne, who gave up on the mantle of the bat and now has to be the dark knight again. It shows his weaknesses and strengths and really highlights relationships with characters like Superman and of course the Joker.
BTAS and Arkham Batman are the best inetepretations of Batman, from outside the comics by far. Kevin Conroy is also THE BATMAN.
Batman TAS Batman is way more likable than the Justice League cartoon version which I hate, he reminds me of Rick from Rick and Morty. Kevin Conroy's Bruce Wayne in the Arkham series has little screen time but he has this dry sassy voice it's nice. I am not comparing at all just saying I think David Mazouz from Gotham did a phenomenal job even if the whole show is sort of a "what if the villains came first" which is a very interesting take and still CAN work as a Batman prequel. Or it just works as a show about Gotham itself that ends with the finale. And Bruce Greenwood in Young Justice is my favorite voice yes over Kevin Conroy. Conroy's voice is the best but it just feels forced and doesn't fit the stealthy batman. But the versions of his voice he used fit the different versions. 4:31 OH HELL YEAH you mentioned it

Ponto negativo: é burro no terceiro filme e não tem nenhuma cena de luta no nível Soldado Invernal
Pra mim, é como se um completasse o outro. Primeiro vi a origem do Batman, conheci ele, Alfred, Lucius, Coringa, Ra's, etc... na trilogia. Depois, pude experimentar toda extensão das habilidades de luta, de detetive, de movimento e de equipamentos do Batman nos jogos Arkham. E aprendi a história dos Robins, outros personagens e aprodundei em outros. E, por fim, encontrei um Charada e uma Arlequina que eu realmente temia em O Inimigo Dentro. Um Coringa com quem eu me importava e um final digno para o Batman. Sem explosões dramáticas, só ele confrontando a si mesmo. E, no meu caso, decidindo abandonar o capuz pra usar seus recursos pra ajudar Gotham, acabando com a necessidade de um Coringa.

*Gotham* (introduziu cada vilão maneiro e deu pra ver o Gordon e o Bruce amadurecendo. E teve histórias de detetive na perspectiva do Gordon)
*Arrow* (convenhamos, ele é o Batman de verde. É como se a CW estivesse no comando da trilogia)
*Esquadrão Suicida* (me introduziu Arlequina e Pistoleiro e foi a única vez em que o BatAffleck não foi um terrorista assassino burro inconsistente fanático religioso e fã de arminha e me deu muito hype pro filme solo dele (que nunca aconteceu)
*Séries animadas* lindo. Lindo. Lindo. Parecem os quadrinhos pós-crise. É a melhor adaptação do Batman interagindo com outros heróis e devia ser lição de casa de como fazer o Batman pra qualquer escritor.
*Adam West* Lindo. Engraçado. Muito louco. Parece um quadrinho pré-crise e tem o Robin que todo mundo conhece.
*Michael Keaton* o primeiro Batman que assisti. A primeira coisa que eu soube que o Batman faz é usar o arpéu... e só mover a cabeça virando o corpo inteiro.
My gripe with the various interpretations of Batman is that every single movie, animated series, live-action show, or video game, always always always focuses on just one of his titles. Pretty much every Batman game can be summarized as part of a "Dark Knight" mindset; it was all about the darker Batman stories. Pushing Batman to his utmost limits, wearing Batman down until nothing but the man remains. It's the reason why I think Pattinson did a perfect live-action Batman. At the end of the movie, he realizes that being "The Batman: The Dark Knight" isn't the way he should be doing this. He should be doing it as "The Batman: The Caped Crusader" or "The Batman: The World's Greatest Detective" or "The Batman: The Masked Manhunter".
Because every version of Batman we've had so far has been able to pin one thing about Bruce's character down very easily, thankfully; he is Batman so that that 8 year old boy in the alley holding his parents' bodies never happens again. Which is true, but he's not just doing it for him. He does it so that nobody has to feel the same pain that Victor Fries, Basil Karlo, Kirk Langstrom, Jonathan Crane, Edward Nygma, and even the Joker went through that turned them into what they are. The Batman doesn't exist just to prevent orphans, The Batman exists so that *nobody* is a victim, ever again. Pattinson's character (and I'll admit, maybe it's just Reeves' vision of Gotham) was the first one to really, truly pull that off.

If we see all the media platform that you can get Batman story's, still think comic story's are the best, at least for me.
But you are right Arkham series (specially Arkham Knight) are superb, and I think one of the best superhero games out there.
These games creating the base Batman feeling (Gotham City, All Villain, Detective elements, Vigilante...) in a way more consumable format than a comic book or a Movie.
And a video game can create a better connection with the consumer.

I think it would be great if the version of Batman from the BATMAN:ARKHAM VideoGames; Of (BATMAN: ARKHAM ORIGINS) all the way to the last one titled (BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT) could be made into a live-action show series someday.
Or maybe the entire set of (BATMAN: ARKHAM) VideoGames could be made into a cartoon show series.
It’s dark, sinister, atmospheric, brutal beat down and angry Batman with a on perfect point voice acting, all the suits, free flow combat, multiple upgraded gadgets, perfectly made suits, and yes detective skills. Yes comics is good aswell however Arkham Batman does like half of not almost all of what comic Batman does but in one night like take out almost every villain that appeared in Batman comics Arkham Batman has taken down in 1 knight. Also Batman just not talking in most situations makes him feel like Michael myers and the games with a disturbing and horrifying and terror and fear these games have yes they are perfect people say Batman is for kids these games easily prove them wrong. Assault on Arkham the movie is also canon to the Arkham verse and the Arkham verse also has comics
