Your lock washer should go on the bolt first, then the flat washer.

@@ajthemaker5058 it was great. Only thing that was a little difficult was lining up the running board onto the brackets alone, since it was a little hard to balance but i managed. Truck looks way better with the steps and glad i didn’t spend 1,000 for getting this installed. Thanks again
