I love departure with those wet windows because as the aircraft speeding on the runway love those droplets running across the windows and as is rotating and climbing the windows get dry LoL 😂

Classic Western Oregon weather: go up a few thousand feet and it's beautiful out.

One of my favorite videos. I love the lighting, seating position, great video of the taxi and takeoff, and the beautiful weather! I miss those cloudy and rainy days. Really makes for a beautiful takeoff or approach. Two thumbs up!

My guess would be that they were operating with an MEL, or minimum equip. list, and something on the jet was inoperative. For example, if the problem was with one of the engine bleeds, they may have run the engines up on the ramp to unsure there was enough intake from the working one. Just a guess, good video

That was a different starting procedure. Plus the a 10° flap takeoff, interesting. The New bengals let's look great from the inside. That taxi looked fast as well.

We were the only ones taxiing at the time. And I was wondering about the flap choice...Thanks! :)

From what i can see and hear, the apu was inop on that flight. At the start of the video the aircraft pushes with one engine already started, likely with an air start cart. A single 737 engine doesn't provide enough bleed air at idle, so they spool up to a higher rpm, start the other engine and go on their way:

      Most likely. Thanks! :)

Why would Alaska fly a 738 from on PDX-SEA?

      Positioning flight. Thanks! :)

Also interesting that it looks like the pilots used flaps 10 for takeoff. Surprising for such a short flight. Must have been a heave load.

We were relatively light so it was a little peculiar...Thanks! :)

I'm sure the 737max scimitar is an improvement from the blended winglet, but I think this add on thing is just a scam.

planesguy Boeing is making its own version for the 737MAX, those will probably be the better version of the winglet.

A plane will have to move at least 85 mph to get that much lift and get into the sky.
