I bought all 4 mounts from 1AAuto, and with the help of these videos replaced all 4 in less than 3 hours. I am not a mechanic and have never done this type of job before. I did it in my drive with jack stands and hydraulic floor jacks. I will say that I started with the passenger side mount, and once I had the engine raised and the cross member/cradle lowered for this mount, I was able to remove the front mount without having to remove the bracket, and was able to move right over to the transmission mount before dropping the engine.
Hey Donald. I’m getting ready to tackle the job. All four mounts. The nut on the top of the front mount haunts me. How did you remove that?I don’t find any way underneath and am prepared to drain the oil and remove the filter in order to easily reach with a 24” extension. Everyone else seems to say no big deal, or skip even describing. Insight?

Very informative. One question. What was the purpose of unscrewing the Negative terminal cover on the front of the engine bay. It did not seem to be in the way... Thanks.

Did you have to remove the torque strut to replace the motor mount , or did you remove the torque strut cause you were going to replace it as well?? Thank you.
What were the symptoms? Can you hear a rattle?

Parts and labor how much would it cost me to replace 3 and after it's done why would there be a vibration that wasn't there prior to the replacement of the motor mounts it only vibrates when stopped?09 traverse 2/3 we're busted
ONly had front mount replaced (as per garage recommendation) and then experienced same vibrations. Now, i've just finished replacing the torque mount... still feel vibrations. Going to now change transmission mount and passenger mount... let you know.

I believe you may have just answered my ELECTRICAL "gremlin" problem - My trusted mechanic replaced this left side engine mount in conjunction with an entire steering component replacement ( GM Dealer replaced extended warranty recall PS-Pump with ANOTHER GM-Junk PS-pump,,, Garbage from china ) Regardless; another problem arose with Pin 51 in GM service bulletin 19-NA-276 due to mechanic removing and reinstalling FUSE BOX - 10mm bolts no longer engage wire blocks because of AIR TOOL stripping plastic threads !! AAAAaaarrrgghh !
