How to cook deer (venison) using a sous vide

  • In this short video, Rod cooks some venison (sambar deer) using the French sous vide method. We use an Anova sous vide wand.

    Sous vide is a cooking method that slow cooks the meat using a gentle water bath over a long period of time, and can produce perfectly cooked rare meats that are super tender and delicious.
    We used the GameSaver vacuum sealer by Foodsaver, and the Anova Sous Vide.

    You rinse your hands not wash and then use the spoon to add the jelly and rub it all over the meat then put the spoon back in the jar! Not very sanitary
