I can’t lie I was really against watching anything other than chase cam at first, but now I’m really liking this hood cam/replay cam combo, it looks really good
I've started with GT Sport 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure to get the game or not but I stubled upon your videos and went for it. Watching you helped me a lot. Thank you
That was just a racing incident there at the end. I didn't see anything wrong from either you (Super GT) or the German. Loved the mix of camera angles! Nice drive -- keep it up! Also, I love your dedication to keep getting faster. I applauded when you started logging laps around the nurburgring in the livestream the other day. 👍
the German shot himself int he foot because he didn't go wide to take a proper line through the corner, forcing himself to go wide at the exit instead, where you obviously went for a better exit that ultimately was in the way of the only line he could have taken after forcing himself to the inside without really needing to. I'd say it's a racing incident, you could have given him more room, but he also didn't need to be so scared of you before the corner to limit his own options after the apex.
Look at the track position and where they collided. The German had no room, steve actually turned into him when they were side by side. The German would have had to back out an thus gifting Steve the win. I agree that it's a normal racing incident but I don't think the German deserved the penalty for passively defending his position on the track.
There was more than a car width there for sure, that's all you should expect. Racing incident for me but I can understand the German's frustration, he had to go for it and finished third. It happens...
He could have gone to the right earlier to ease the line into the corner. It was his fault for sticking to the left side the entire time and forcing himself into a line that intersected with Steve's. Hindsight is 20/20, but that's just how it be do. If it weren't for the game penalty system, Steve would have lost the most here being pushed wide, off track and losing another position. They both lost out equally and I think that's fair.
@@Mike23443 But is Steve being pushed? I just watched it again and I don't think so. The problem is Steve just didn't have a clear view (yep, the bumper view 😉) and did not really see him coming. Their is room to take that corner side by side. Edit: to be clear. I don't think their is a driver to blame, but I do think the penalty system is really hard on the German.
Dude, I just ripped a fat bowl before watching this video and your new format with these races (the different camera angles) makes it so much better! Thank you
Your videos with your commentary are more exciting than watching actual races. I was definitely rooting for you the entire time. I thought for sure you had it in the bag but good race none the less!
Your best race ever! I really enjoyed watching that! Normally i'm watching with one eye, but here you can clearly see how much the improvement is. You were second on the renault, he punted you, stayed second, he got third! Well done! Awesome!
That was exhilarating to watch, the hood cam makes it so much more immersive! And about that contact, if you were playing in chase cam, you would have seen him better, and maybe that's why he thinks you've turned into him, but with the hood cam you didn't even see him, so you did fine.
your driving has definitely gotten a lot smoother with the wheel. notably you're not stressing your tires nearly as much on turn in, sliding less and and your tires are lasting longer. very nice!
I'm loving these FIA intros mate! I think that incident on the last lap was just an unlucky moment. You were taking the best racing line, but also you were still ahead. I feel like just because he has the inside line doesn't mean that you should give him the free pass. Still overall a great race for you mate. Wish you could have gotten first, but nothing too bad to complain about. Cheers, Pig.
That was a great race and I really like the way it was edited together. Made the whole thing very entertaining to watch. I also like that the Renault driver cleared the air in the comments here. Makes me feel all warm inside.
Many thanks and yes, always good to see that in the comments. I totally understand being angry in the moment but it's always great to clear the air afterwards.
Really tidy race! Biggups! Enjoying your channel and way of commentating. Got a good voice for that n you're a good man and racer! Got me into playing Sim-racing again (PC2) n exhuming my old Wingman Formula from the attic...fun times! Keep up the good pace...
Stellar job managing the tires, and really unlucy with the last lap incident! If there are any races where tire wear isn't that big a deal, you should do well with the McLaren, it's actually a very good car on one lap pace aswell as straight line speed. Not quite Top Tier, but certainly above average, as long as tire wear is out of the picture.
The McLaren is actually a lovely car to drive. It really shines in tracks which consist mainly of high-speed corners like Tokyo , Suzuka and of course Maggiore reverse. IMO you made a good choice signing with McLaren, their cars are really underrated.
Beautiful race, Super GT. 11 laps with only two significant mistakes and one of those wasn't really you... amazing skill, looking forward to seeing your driving after a second month of wheeling it ;)
The McLaren GT3 has tall gear ratios which has its strengths and weaknesses so keep that in mind when racing. It’s a decent choice even before the physics update and now even better, as you’ve demonstrated 👍🏾
So after watching SuperGT for 1.5 years i finally got GTS this morning. The goal is to be in one of the videos, haha :D Gotta practice first tho i probably suck
If you can continue to drive like that then I think you will see a massive improvement in your ranking. Normally I am fairly close to you, but I was 24 secs back at the end and while my race was a bit scruffy, I had no major issues. Simply put your pace is much better than it was on the controller. Keep it up :)
Many thanks. I hope so. It was a very encouraging race. I compared my overall time to the likes of GTA Tidgney and I was only a matter of seconds away which is really positive.
I know there has been a lot of talk about the tire wear but I think it turned out really well. The one-stop w/ mediums vs the two-stop w/ softs was super cool. I made a last lap pass for the win on the softs and it was the most fun I've had ever in this game haha. Shouts out to all the Hyundai drivers out there.
Good race man! Enjoyed the video! You could've maybe given him a bit more room and tried the cutback onto the straight, but in the end its just a racing incident..
Not sure if you keep up with the IMSA series, but they had the Michelin Pilot Challenge recently, and the McLarens were actually too fast. They were blowing past everyone. Commentators were saying that they'll probably be tuned down for the next race.
Two questions: (1) Is there a cockpit cam available? (2) Does the FoV setting affect the hood cam? If a cockpit is available, go there and set the FoV to be the correct setting based on screen size and distance from the screen to get the most realistic experience. If not from cockpit, and FoV affects the hood cam, using the correct FoV setting will still give you the most control over the car. You'll lose your sense of speed, but you'll have better car control.
the new scoring system is harsh - in my race, one person had a good score already - qualified on pole and won the race by miles - but the score for the win was 200 points less than they already had. Using a pad i could get no more than 4 laps on softs with the Mitsubishi - even managing the tires as much as possible. by the end of lap 4 - the fronts went onto 100% red in the last turns
McLaren ? I don't like their sport performace lately, but I love the patriotic, british touch to your channel and content (reminds me of Top Gear). Cheers and good luck from Switzerland
I did leave room. You can see it clearly on the replay. Plus, the German has actually commented here to say it was a racing incident, so he has changed his mind on it.
Super GT I’m not saying it’s not a racing incident. Don’t get me wrong. But I do understand and agree with him. You do steer in. Unfortunately GT Sport saw it as a fault from the German but I think GTS is wrong 😊
Excellent video, so unlucky to lose out right at the death, your controller v wheel tire wear video was quite an eye opener, would have been interesting to see the same controller v wheel on a track your not so great at to see which is faster.
Good to know about the new rules, I did an okay race and did another one after that and absolutely bottled it, making the first one useless. Good times.
Nice race. I also signed for them. I’m nowhere near your level. Providing I don’t crash I can get a decent race. I’m not expecting to finish 1st ever but hopefully I’ll be able to gain a few positions. It’s my first season on the game.
Good race. I didnt like the doing the track in reverse. Unfortunately the first three races for the Manufacturers are all in reverse and two toward the end.
