Should have cut the part of the cap that touches the trunk off, siliconed the caps to the end of the light and it would have laid flat on the trunk at the ends.
It definitely didn't stick long term. If it was fully flat from end to end I think it may have been ok but it's a height difference going into the end caps. between the tension in that gap and the air/water getting under the 3m it didn't last
hello friend, Okeen led for spoiler still working? I think about buying but I don't know about the durability of the product, for Brazil the value is very expensive around 32 dollars with shipping, if it's not something of quality, it's not worth paying the price, can you give a feedback? thanks...
The LEDs worked good but the 3m mounting tape came loose after a while so I took it off. Here's the updated video of it ua-cam.com/video/F4WGSfBM19w/v-deo.html
Hey bro, is the light still working? Someone bought something similar but it didn’t last long, looking for a quality product to buy. Also what dis you do about the adhesion problem?
I'm sure the light probably still works but after the adhesive failed I just took the whole thing off. It really needs a perfectly flat base and some good 3m to really stick and stay put
there are 4 wires going to my third brake light 1 light blue, 1 black, and, 2 red. i connected the wires to the light blue and black wire and it just makes the light stay on
@@evolutionary9603 that's how mine was connected, power to light blue and ground to black. Not sure why yours would stay on. Does the 3rd brake light stay on top or just the new light?
Nice detailed video! I was scared to order one because it was longer than my vehicles trunk but now I know I can cut it to fit. Thanks for the video!
No problem. Just be sure to clean everything off good before adding the 3m so it'll stay put
You made this so easy. You should be a teacher. Thank you. Putting mine on today.
Thanks. Glad it was helpful. You may want to add some extra 3m on the edges to hold it better
Great work bruh looking good and that’s different there
Preciate it bruh, I had to give it a shot
@@89imp03 nice it’s different and looks great for the price
@@TheRealCountryBoyModz yeah it was worth the risk

Yeah that would've been a good move
Hello, so that it didn't have that curve, you had to cut at an angle, not straight. But great job.
Thanks
I just bought one thanks 🙏
💯 just make sure the trunk is cleaned good before mounting it
I got the regular one and snow really messes it up over time
I never thought about snow. We only get it maybe once a year here and it's rarely enough to be a problem
Just got mine. Is it bright at night?
Yeah it's really bright at night. Just be sure the surface is clean and smooth when you mount it. The edges on mine didn't stick too good
Seems ends caps thing are inverted.
It only fits on there one way
How to cut? Its not fit for honda city, its too long 3 inches. Please guide me. Thanks
You can cut it with a good blade or a strong pair of scissors. I think I cut mine with a box cutter
wouldn't it peel off after a number of washing of the vehicle?

yeah around 1 year and start peeling and red cover plastic fade kind a white
And I thought I was the only one that did this with my impala.
It's not many that I've seen with it

@@89imp03 Yeah, my friends unit is still adhered to the trunk, seems like he used a very strong adhesive during installation.
@@fadilyakubu5462 oh ok, if it's still stuck I feel like it'll work for a while. The LEDs from opt7 are usually pretty good quality
So has it burned out yet? I've gone through 4
The 3m wasn't sticking good and it fell of while I was washing the car lol just didn't put it back on after that
my light stays on and i don’t know how to fix it 🤷♂️lol
Check what it's wired to. Could be getting constant power instead of just when you hit the brakes

it’s just the new light that stays on it turns on as soon as i touch the black wire to the ground wire
@@evolutionary9603 might have to try to connect it somewhere else then. Connect it to the taillight bulb to test it and see if it does right there
How many cms can i cut?
🤷🏾♂️ I guess as many as you want. It didn't have any set cut marks on it
Oh and I drilled a hole for my wire not to be noticeable.
That's the way to do it 💯 I wasn't that committed to it yet on mine
