I would like a fully enclosed version of #2. I like the idea of having a velomobile microcamper.
True that. A velomobile microcamper is awesome.
The amount of energy you have to expend to get these bikes is unbelievable. Seems there’s always a “but wait there’s more” moment.
Good feedback. Thanks!
this Begorett and Canyon concept are amazing i love the concept 😀
We agree!
Podride has been "in development" for over 5 years.
Thanks for the info!
Honda had pods in 80s just a heads up no idea why it never was mass made 🤷♂️
Thanks for this information,,
Any time
Yeah the PEBL and the ELF are 2 of my favorites -thank you for a geat video
Of course! Which one do you like better?
@@Electric-Rideables They are both equal that's the hard part to decide
Cool. I like the 4 wheeled Microlino, it's still expensive but it's cool. The Citroen Ami just needs to have a 300mile range and be around US$6k and it'll be a huge hit.
God bless.
Agreed. The Ami has a lot of promise.
The Canyon FMC is really interesting to see.
It's just taking a velomobile, redesign it into a car looking/feeling vehicle, and still functions as a bicycle.
The Canyon concept is really cool.

The Canyon is the I would go for and I am a velomobile owner! It looks awesome!
Just cool stuff.
Thanks
Finally something I can drive now and would be fantastic for my health
👌 excellent
Nice
So nice
The add motor M360 would make for a good travel bike on moderate terrain. You could easily add a small bed roll just behind the handlebars. Then load the basket with your other supplies. Not so sure about the low hanging chain though. If the tension arm moves towards the front of the bike. Hitting a solid object could really mess it up.
We love the Addmotor M360.
Just got a Magicycle e bike and love it! Gotta get fat wheels on these.
We've heard great things about the Magicycle. We'll look into it. Thanks for the feedback.
Can't wait for these to hit the market! WHOOHOO!
Woo hoo!
I live in an inner residential area of Berlin - and I'm glad that some parcel delivery services are now using electrically assisted bikes with large cargo compartments.
They replace aging diesel vans that clog up the streets when parked for delivery and they avoid lots of combustion fumes. 👍
That's fantastic news! It's really encouraging to hear about the shift towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly delivery methods, especially in densely populated urban areas like Berlin. The use of electrically assisted bikes with large cargo compartments sounds like a great initiative to reduce traffic congestion and minimize air pollution. It's a win-win for both the city's atmosphere and its residents.
Thanks!
Our first ever super chat donation thingy. Thanks!!
You should have a video for what is available in North America and what is available in Europe.
Thanks for the feedback. We'll work on that.
I want one of each!!!
Same here.
Excellent video. Excellent products. These vehicles are starting to get my attention in a serious way. I would love to get rid of my car, the insurance, taxes, maintenance and fuel costs are enormous and to get a new one I'll need financing as well. The city I live has converted all the rail lines to walking/bike trails including the old railway bridge. No hills. I'd be crazy not to look into a vellocar, one that is totally covered that can go from trail to street with no license, insurance or registration required. There was one in the video that was really close. Need it to be winterized too. Subed and liked :)
You should absolutely get one.
the canyon looks cool
The Canyon is one of the best. We'll see how they progress.
Podbike will be interesting
Agreed.
Yes
Yep
When I move to Korea, I must get one of these. I need a weather-proof canopy.
Good point. A weather-proof canopy is clutch.
I like how the PEBL is just an improved elf
Good point.
my favorite is the horse and buggy.
Love it and I agree!!!
Hahah. Love it.
👍All🏆All👍
Word. Same here! We'll take one of them all please.
Número 6: El coche de Pocoyó :-)
Jaja. Totalmente lo es.
What's your favorite for the velomobile? I would like a velomobile with battery recuperation and a stable and powerful motor for driving passes in the mountains and subsequent recuperation on the descent.
good points.
You need an electric car, not an ebike
Please note that the name is VeLove, not VeVolve. The VeLove has great suspension and traction. I’ve used one during a winter day with full load with no problem.
Thank you for the catch. Very much appreciated.
This is way more sustainable than heavy vehicles we have right now...especially when you can switch out the batteries on the fly.
even though I don't appreciate the pedaling part aside from legal reasons...
Yeah, the swappable battery technology is interesting. That'll be a big one to follow with the future of electric transportation.
Honestly I just don’t understand why on earth we do not have a 1 seater electric car with 4 wheels already! That Canyon is a beautiful design, just wish it was actually a car!
Agreed. The one-seater EV is definitely something we should have.
The Velomobiles are Small But The Prices Are Crazy!
Most definitely avvenire FORAS Ultimate number 1 cuz it features then 2 canyon future mobility concept
New York needs number 2
?
The 3 or 4 wheel configurations are too wide for things like parking convenience or fitting in tight spaces (Cabriovelo keeps it slim though). Maybe a two-wheel setup with outboard 'training wheels'?
interesting
10k for #1 needs serious reconsideration, production optimization and a designer.
A valid arguement.
Imagine in 50 years bike lines will be full of these things
Yup. Pretty much.
and I'm ok with that.
#10 - their Facebook page indicated in 2017 that they suspended operations. Gee, who researched this video?
Apologies and thanks for the feedback.
12.3K subs!
Yeah!
Ok.
1, 3, 8, 9 good

Would love to see something on Proposed electric boat….given that they pollute directly to the water.
Ever hear of a trolling motor?

Interesting insight.
Back to the flintstones age

like driving plane
i like driving plane
If these are manufactured in South Asia, their costs and pricing will be 1/10-1/8th of the current actuals
True that.
No, because labour only costs so much. Excluding labour from any velomobile, you're looking at around a 4k price tag, minimum
Hello, I see many ELECTRIC vehicles that are advertised and many MOTORCYCLES, many ELECTRIC CARS, ELECTRIC BICYCLES, (BUT) I see everything but I do not see anything for sale, I do not see ANYTHING in the Dealers where are they?, where are they sold How do I get one?
Most are purchased online for now.
Looks fun yet a injured knee keeps me from bike rides
Sorry to hear that.
Does the solar system do moon light solar power for night early evening riders.
hahaha. don't know if we can speak for the solar system.
If it is manufactured in india, South Asia, the costs and pricing will be reduced to 1/8-1/15th of the current cost and pricing. Profits and sales will be multifold
(1) The greenhouse cost of shipping will turn off much of the interested customer base in the USA.
(2) Many of these are being made by small companies run by people tired of seeing all of the decent-paying jobs that don't require a college degree sent to Southeast Asia.
(3) The customer cost difference would be far less than that due to the profit motive of the importers. It would just be another case of Asian workers being underpaid relative the target market's sale price-which in the long run is bad for Asian economies.
Making these products at prices affordable for local Asian markets, targeted at those markets, and by people in those markets would be good for everybody.
Interesting points. Please consider subscribing to keep contributing to our community.
Are any of these available for Sale in California 🇺🇸
Arcimoto might be a good brand to start with.
Forgot the Podbike Frikar
Apologies. The PodBike was featured in another video of ours. You should check it out!
$13000 for an etrike? I can't imagine paying more than $1,500 for something like that.
A valid argument.
I like the look of the Canyon, but it needs a steering system more in tune with a car or bike. having the handles down by your side is not a good idea for this vehicle it would lend itself more to better steering systems.
Where can I buy the Swedish Podride?
In Europe.
Why do all these vehicles have such an odd design. Seriously, they look like special need transportation vehicles. Personally I'd be embarrassed to go to work with one of these.
The NLM on the other hand, is the only one I'd consider buying.
Valid points.
The 'pure science' that goes into designing a minimalist vehicle to meet the criteria of light weight and low energy use will produce different results from those achieved by the producers of ICE vehicles based on the design concepts of last century. Also, Electric and Hybrid vehicles specifically designed to look as much like a traditional ICE vehicle as possible (in order to sell them to older/more conservative buyers who might consider anything else "odd") will rarely be as efficient as those designed according to science rather than fashion/aesthetics.
Where can we find available for Sale
Arcimoto might be a good brand to start with.
How about Northern Light Motors?
That is stunning...really interested in one....but notsure about the electric only drive.
Thanks! We had Northern Lights in a different Velomobile video. You can check it out here: ua-cam.com/video/hnSlZ8o3d8c/v-deo.html
a big issue would be the spatial awareness of motor vehicle drivers and riders. These things would have to have flag poles with lights/reflectors on them because some of them are very low to the ground. i imagine a lot of car drivers turning into them. cyclists would have a lot more awareness then people in these things and could therefore protect themselves from cars, so i imagine myself feeling safer on a bike.
Good point on the flag poles. Thanks for the feedback!
@@Electric-Rideables sorry that you had to read my comment, I had a stroke why typing it
@@ThapeloMKT Hope all is well.
Nice products, but prices are crazy. For that orange 3 wheel bicycle I can buy 250cc maxi scooter in my country.
Good point. Thanks for the feedback!
This is the future I want to live in. Electric cars are cool but they're not a complete solution, for pretty clear reasons.
Thanks for the feedback!
How. Ca n I try. Out a elf and get mor e info on canyon and dry cycle, cabriovelo. I want to be able to use a bike car to move
Has the Canyon Future Mobility Concept become a reality?
Not a peep from them since this video was released.
@@Electric-Rideables I’d probably buy or lease one if they ever go into production
We need in nepal🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
Agreed. They are needed most everywhere.
What about locks and thieving prevention?
Some companies add additional security features, but innovation is definitely needed.
@@Electric-Rideables Well, to be honest. My velomobile is rarely locked. They are not stolen much. And sometimes for joyriding, but then they have to find out how to release the brakes. ;)
Jajaja. Si. Punto valido.
Most of them are just to expensive…
I‘d pay 3-5000.- Ideally less than 3000.- but that might be though to realise
Valid point.
Approximate prices?
They differ for each one but you can check some of the links in the description.
I want to buy
Us toooooo
At least will have this to use after the coronal mass ejection hits.
Awesome. Yeah, those can do major damage.
The e bikes should not be confused with velomobiles. Real velomobiles are made of carbon to be as light as possible, with low center of gravity for good maneuvering and they use rider's peddling power only. The average speed is usually much higher than 25 km/h, so there's no use for electric motor, it is just extra dead weight. If you want/ need exercise then you should buy a velomobile like Milan, DF, Quattrovelo, Alpha 7 etc... and these bikes already exist.
Many of these e bikes are interesting concepts on designer's screen, but fail to be impractical in real life. And they really depend on that motor because of heavy weight. Although there clearly seems to be need for further development, some of the cargo bikes might still be great for delivery jobs
Thank you for this very valuable information. Please consider subscribing to keep contributing to our community.
Number 5 what company is it ? Which country ?
I believe they are in the UK.
What's the price for each?
Sorry about that. Next time we'll include prices. We have a new video on this coming out soon so stay tuned.
Sad thing is this: in the state of maine most of these are illegal! So much for being a green state!
Blowing it Maine... jk, they are most likely legal on roads with posted speed limits of 35mph or less.
1 rear wheel in the middle takes most of the potentially useful cargo space. if you cannot put at least 2 beer crates in then most people I wont even consider it.. Even better would be an optional passenger seat / luggage space to carry your dog or your shopping..
Valid points. Thanks for the feedback!
Might be cheaper if sold in kit form.
True

OMG LOL Talking about over priced ? The Better Bike Pebl over $10,000 dollars WOW ROFLMAO At most maybe $3,500 .
Yeah, the prices definitely need time to adjust.
fantastic ideas if only they did not cost as much as a brand new car....sort of...no thanks.
Fair enough point. Thanks for the feedback.

Sadly, #4 never got out of production...
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated!
What is top speed
Top speed varies between the different vehicles.
Only if the was not so expensive. I mean, a car is cheaper and better than most of these velomobiles.
A valid point. Hopefully the price of some of these will come down.
Prices?
We'll do better and include prices in future videos.
Hi guy's . So here's a major problem and point of your european electric transportation ideas, 1 if I can't drive to a d from my destination in 1 charge its useless I can drive 40 miles just to the other side of town and 40 back . 2 the vehicle needs to go 55mph so I can use the inner city byways. And if I choose to go to a picnic or camping outing, the mountain is 60 miles away , and there is no 0ower grid there so a minimum of 130miles not 130km is needed.
good to know.
Y LYKE CANYON
Us too
🇦🇷👍👹🇦🇷
Argentina!
Prefer Canyon ,y like
The Canyon is awesome. Standing by for their production models!
The Cabrio velo needs a steering wheel and it would look right.
But to address all of these, they are way too expensive, one or two of them look kind of ok ish but the price is ridiculously high.
I predict the first company that brings out something that looks good at a price that is affordable and they will clean up, all these things are 6 grand 10 grand and so on, simply puts them out of the reach of the average cyclist, and at the price of them, makes them highly steal able, virtually no security devices on them and a super expensive price.
So bring out a version that is around 2 grand looks good gives good range and less pedalling and they may just be what some are looking for.
I bought an electric bike it cost less than 500 pounds and It has gone around 700 miles in 3 to 4 months I added extra range at a cost of 200 pounds, I was not a cycling person more motorcycling, I'm not fit at all, so my point is if these people want people to use these things the price has to be right and the range has to be upgradable, extras at a reasonable price.
Oh and cycling was a thing I loved to do when I was a lot younger, the price excludes young people, but the effort you have to put in to make them go means you need to be young to make them go, a miss match of values.
Less effort, lower price, bigger range, and a little thought on security.
Very valid points. Thanks for sharing!
There have been 'self-build' kits for velomobiles around for a long time (thus reducing cost), and slotting an electric-motor-wheel in to make the commute easier has been a popular mod. Just enter Self Build Kit for Velomobiles into a search-engine ... have a notepad and a cup of tea/coffee handy first though : ), there are lots out there.
@@alfnoakes392 It's good to know this stuff, but I wonder how many people would be willing to buy and pay thousands of pounds to build their own Ford fiesta or Jag the point being, most people want something ready to go, they don't have the space to mix chemicals or have parts laid all over the place, they want to see a reasonably priced gizmo and just go with it and if they like it they may sell their old one and up grade to something better later on.
But yes for some a home build is good, though most wouldn't due to space or other reasons.
Just as a thought you can buy a state of the art escooter capable of going 60 mph for around 2.5 grand these velo's will probably go the legal limit of around 15 mph or a bit more with effort and cost 6 to 15 grand, ok you won't get wet other than from sweating like mad from all the hard work, but that's a pretty expensive umbrella don't you think.
Sorry, but the most Velo are not ready for sale! Protoyp or Study!
👌
The E.L.F. has been available for years and has a good reputation for ease of use and quality construction.
Where will they be parked or left at night nobody who lives in a Victorian house can have one unless they have a garage you can't leave them in your garden they will get stolen I love them but I can't see it
Valid argument.
