Some well-known, some curious and some interesting concepts. In my view, no 2 and 3 were best for personal mobility. With such minimalistic trikes and 'quikes', the versatility of these vehicles is greatly reduced. There is a limit, you cannot bring home your newly bought washing machine with this. Assisting motor is recommendable. Some are outright ugly! But some are stylish, some are funny ... ! 😊😊

That kenner is a beautiful piece
As an industrial designer… I have seen WAY too many hubless rims which are the most impractical wheel and will NEVER be a realistic solution. I also designed a human powered 3 wheeled tadpole human-hybrid-powered vehicle concept as a University project and build my own bikes (wheels and all)… but that was just a concept study. Most of these concepts we see pretend to be the “future of” and claim “sustainable”, but never take into consideration real world use case and the designers have little to no experience with bikes or vehicles. I’d take all of these with a grain of salt.

К сожалению, на Земле не хватит лития для батареек! Второе! Как вы представляете езду пожилых людей на веломобилях? А инвалидов? Так что, бросьте нагибаться перед сумасшедшими амерскими миллиардерами типа Маска! Эти твари хотят нас убрать с поверхности Земли, а не спасти Землю, климат или ещё какую то "эко"- фигню!

At the CES 2024 KOTRA Korea Pavilion, the actual hubless electric bicycle has a very unique, future-oriented design and a particularly unique driving method. Expectations are high for the Top Secret V1, a concept hubless velomobile three-wheeled electric bicycle created by Daewon J&B in Korea
It's beautiful and exactly the concept I've been sketching for years, but somebody needs to bring the cost down to about $3,000 dollars before it's a viable mass market item.

They had a moped in the US with an enclosure around it in the 70s but it soon disappeared due to regulations

Man, the future looks very bright for motorized urban transportation. These will dramatically reduce automobile related injuries to pedestrians and deaths to drivers and passengers. most of the designs are AMERICAN made too 👍

Over time I have seen too many fancy concepts. I really am only interested in real velomobiles.
The Topsecret is a very attractive design, but I can't see the hubless systems being practical or reliable

I’ve seriously wanted a velo for years, but the price is WAY outside my limits. Someone should manufacture shells for owners who already own a tadpole or trike.
Actually, there is a kit available, that will convert specific tadpole recumbent models to Velomobile status, at a fraction of the cost of what's on the market. Google "Aero Bullet", and videos might still be available on YT to show how it works. I'm looking to convert my Catrike Expedition in the not-too-distant future.

Its for city in winter.... An in your car you interact with what ? You can have charge in a velomobile, you can't have on a bike.
I'm actually getting tired of hearing about velomobiles "that will appear in the near future." I'm still hoping for ONE to make it much further than the prototype stage. There have been dozens that look great in the promotional videos, then they make 0-100 of them before closing shop. A little research would have shown you that some of these (like the Snap and Cyclospace) are already dead.
Those "véhicule" can be acepted only after a nucleaire war ....

Again with the fallacy that bikes are for the poor lol. The mayor of Bogota once said that "a developed country is not a place where the poor have cars but where the rich use public transportation". The same applies to bikes. We're not going to make people switch to these vehicles if they're a miserable experience that makes them look like they're struggling with their finances.

Is there ANYONE who can think of and make a decent modern design? All I see here are aesthetically horrible designs, that look like toys made by children (whatever I find, I use).
