OG DB won't be affected a lot, but Goku not coming back after dying against Raditz means Vegeta and Nappa come to Earth and clear it out. Vegeta probably gets immortality and kills Frieza, then keeps ruling the galaxy until Zeno eventually erases U7.
As hopeless as the situation was for Gohan regardless of the version, the anime version was just a pure badass for me and that will never change. Gohan knew that he’d most likely fall, but he didn’t give up hope on a better future and fought to the bitter end. Even if both cyborgs were only using half power (the special had them go all out at the start), the fact that they had to jump Gohan just to overwhelm him is just badass.

@@RedMoonFlare truthfully, it’s a whole mess. The amount of teaching wasn’t sufficient for gohan in that timeline, and only goku and Kami knew about the chamber, but both are dead. Plus, the idea to surpass ssj wasn’t introduced or conceived by either goku or Vegeta because both are dead and didn’t teach gohan to look ahead. And zenkais were technically just plot devices in the series and wasn’t really factored into the special.
11:45 shin literally trained trunks with the z sword in the Buu arc. It's possible that trunks and Gohan could spare with shin over and over while Kabito gives them zenkais by healing them. They could definitely beat dabura if they teamed up

Future Gohan learning Instant transmission would have saved his life and arm. It would probably allow him to find New Nanek quickly. Goku, having the foresight to teach him before he died, would be required.

Watching the first 3 mins of this awesome video... I think Future Gohan could have evaded the androids instead of fighting them until Trunks became the age he was when he first went into the past. This way, Trunks has a high chance of turning Super Saiyan and training with Gohan would be a lot better and they would both grow stronger. I think they both could achieve either grade 4 SSJ(SSJ FP) or grade 5(SSJ2) if they used the Room of Spirit and Time or Bulma created a training room. 🤔
Gee, I wonder why Bulma never told Gohan about the possibility of gravity training. If she could make a literal time machine, she could've easily whipped up a gravity chamber, even if it was just a crappy one that only went up to 100x gravity. Every little bit of extra training would've helped. Man, the more I think about how the future timeline being as shit as it is makes no sense, the more annoyed I get.
The answer to that is that they didn't know where to find new namek or how to contact them. After the freiza saga the new planet namek was not in the same place as the original. This wasn't a problem in the main Z continuity because goku was able to use instant transmission to teleport there. Gohan/trunks never had that ability available and if they had decided to try that idea they would have to search the universe and hope they'll eventually find namek

I do believe in Trunks timeline before he was born when the namekians left earth to find a new home to call Namek after the brutal fight of Goku and Frieza? Dende went back with them, but because Goku died in the future he never had the chance to find their new home and I think even to bring Dende back to earth to be the guardian after Kami. So that was an idea that couldn’t happen. So basically Dende never went back to Earth to see the Z Warriors again
A youtuber by the name of Lonk's Takes actually did a video on Imperfect Cell vs Future Gohan, where he made the case that Anime Future Gohan actually mightve been stronger than Kamiccolo.
I imagine it going something like we saw in that one dragon ball super heroes episode where it was shown instead of him dying the androids killed trunks and bulma. We see in xenoverse although none canon that once xeno trunks is beaten by the androids future gohan is able to unlock his hidden potential and beat them due to his pure rage. And this was after he lost his arm and already had a zenkai boost from this injury and we see in the anime he manages to push them back a bit when both go full power due to this. This zenkai boost is probably the reason the androids finally decided to kill him after 13 years of having him as a plaything. Maybe they noticed he started to catch up somewhat. And this may not contradict Trunks being toyed and beaten by them despite his claim to having reached Gohans lvl of power. Since Trunks is heavily lacking in experience and its doubtful that gohan ever went full power against him in their sparring. We see this when future trunks thinks Vegeta is winning against 18 and Piccolo has to point out that wasn't exactly the case. So Trunks may have only reached the lvl of power Gohan shown him in their sparring sessions instead which we know to be a heavily suppressed Gohan which is why he was beaten easily despite his claim reaching his lvl.
Only way I can see gohan winning story wise is him allowing trunks to fight Trunk’s dying or almost dying Gohan’s rage unlocking ssj 2 or a strong enough rage boost or avoiding his final battle to fight another day

With Kami and Dende’s help finding the dragonballs? They’ll be able to bring back everyone else, although in Trunks timeline? I believe that Kami was long gone and Dende went back with the namekian people to find a new home for them since it was destroyed by Frieza while Goku fought him and lost and never decide to come back to earth.

@@QaamansLandif he killed 17 in the anime like for example when gohan fought 17 alone he landed some exchanges and with a decisive punch made him almost lose and forced 18 to jump him with trunks even stating that gohan was winning the fight considering they barely even had significant exchanges in that moment meaning he would have a lot of power left to deal with 18 this is also two armed gohan who later on trained and fought both of then and even overpowered the androids in a beam struggle at full power it is very safe to say that if he found one of then like 18 or even 17 alone for a moment he could kill then quite easily this means he still would have power left to fight and kill the other android this becomes even more clear if you see that there is a teamwork multiplier in the series so he could have done it is just that they knew he could do that and had to get carefull around him if trunks stalled 18 at that moment gohan would have probally defeated 17 and almost killed him before 18 can realise as she would start to play with trunks for a moment then she would rush back to help 17 and now trunks wont need the senzu to keep him alive and now he actually can witness gohan going full power right after he managed to get 17 heavily injured or dead.
@@QaamansLand depends on how you want to go about it as in the daizenshu they are pretty much equal or slightly weaker then present androids and in the anime timeline this can be reasonable as both of then have never fought someone at full power besides gohan who trunks never even saw or sensed that fight so his statements of then being heavily weaker etc. is just then playing with him because even the special makes it clear in his fight with the androids he is actually weaker than gohan it should be similar to the main timeline either way thier gap in power and if we say 18 = 17 it still means the same thing if gohan barely had an exchange with 17 and almost defeated him a almost dead 17 or dead 17 and a healthy 18 would not mach him in combat and in this scenerio i present he still had a senzu,your interpretation of the manga is really acurate and in general reliable but the anime is another thing entirely and in that timeline gohan had a realistic small chance, honestly if trunks got super saiyan before his final fight with the androids gohan could have found the time he needed to end then without the senzu because now the basically lost more than 2x power by being separated
The only way for future Gohan in my opinion for defeating the androids is if he went Super Sayian 2 after witnessing the andriods killing a defense kid right in front of him. I say this could work because it Gohan was as close or just as slightly weaker to his when he dad came back from Yardrat. His ss2 should be able to defeat the andriods and cell.
The image of Gohan getting support from his kin who have passed makes me feel for the situation It speaks to the convention of the Z series, that of strife and desperation to have people suffer and perish. At the same time these things are necessary to have Trunks types grow in what they are truly capable of Although I do wonder what kind of tracking mechanism the androids were using to prevent Gohan and Trunks from searching for the Dragon Balls. Had Dende not yet fulfilled hia role as protector or was he killed? If anything they could have asked Shenron for the wisdom to overcome in that situation or reset the death toll. Perhaps Gohan could return to Namek and be granted 3 more wishes We don't know for sure what kind of agency Gohan has in his diplomacy with Namekians. Surely being his father's image would speak on his behalf. Being the son of the champion of their planet. But the situation isn't as mutually pressing for them as it was when Frieza was oppressing them. A few plot concerns to be sure. But this was Toriyama's roadmap for his plot arc. He wanted to put Trunks at the forefront
In the future timeline 6 months after Goku died of the heart virus Piccolo was killed by the androids without fusing with Kami and no one else knew where Namek's new location was nor did anyone have a way to get there at the time.

I will watch the video first to see if my thoughts remain the same. TL;DR I do agree with almost everything Qaaman said up until the "what do they do after the defeat of the androids and Cell" Well since the History of Trunks Anime Special is what most of the franchise refers to or adapts to most i guess that's the one I'll use. Let's say Future Gohan wins his "last" battle against Androids 17 & 18, which I think he might've won in the anime given how much he was pushing them with 1 arm, what happens next? Trunks wakes up and finds out Gohan has defeated the Androids. The next major step in story development is Bulma. IF she hasn't already started building the time machine, which I think she has by that point, would she still build it or build a spaceship to go to New Namek? Even though they may not know where it is (for the longest time i thought New Namek was in the same spot as the Old Namek) I'm almost certain that Bulma would find a way to locate the planet. Either way, time machine or spaceship, it would take some time before either is built. 3-5 years give or take. By that time Cell would show up after finding out the androids have been destroyed and would more than likely be defeated by both Gohan and Trunks TOGETHER. So this is where i came to my "fork in the road" so to speak. If Bulma built the time machine, then we would get events similar to what Trunks went through going back in time. If Bulma built the spaceship, Gohan, Trunks, and maybe even Bulma too would go to find New Namek. How? Well since Bulma is the smartest person in the franchise i have zero doubt that she would be able outfit the spaceship with the dragon radar with INCREASED range meaning that even if New Namek's location is unknown they'd follow the dragon balls location to the planet. They get to New Namek, make some wishes and be back before Babadi and Buu show up.(hopefully) Dende will more than likely be brought to Earth to be its guardian even if Piccolo is somehow not brought back to life, to rejuvenate Earth's Dragon Balls. Buu Saga: if given enough time to train in the hyperbolic time chamber, Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, and Vegeta (if he's wished back) all could be around the level of Dabura with INTENSE training upon their return to Earth. I know this was long and probably rushed but this was just MY take on this What-if scenario. Constructive Criticism is welcomed. Gohan literally in the manga said he had let go of his anger cause he believed he would blow up earth. He got himself killed,his power IS his rage. Even Ultimate Gohan is simply the power of his full rage but in a mastered calm state. Beast being the SSJ2 form of this new base state(like Blue is to God) Its a line that slips past more people. That and not having any mentors and having poor nutrition is why he was weak. And unfortunately as we learn in the Buu saga he has a hard time being angry again. In the Cell Games he got so strong cause Goku taught him his anger was his power. Gohan is literally like the Hulk.
You are correct but believe or not? That anger started turning to him having a ego. Remember when he beat Cell so bad he turned back to his second form? Goku wanted Gohan to get rid of him and he had the the full advantage to. But Gohan wanted him to suffer more so he played with him alittle longer not knowing this guy had other plans despite him getting beat back to his previous form. When Buu came he killed Gohan when he was with Supreme Kai but he came back to life and had a second chance to fight him. He literally did the same thing he did when he was fighting Cell not eliminating his opponents quicker and got absorbed. Vegeta scold him about that and know that kid had an amazing power than both Goku and him 💯! He didn’t focus more on that!
You see now I love the HOT special a lot and after reading the manga for answering questions I realized how much they changed in the movie. Making Gohan appear a lot more powerful than he actually was. That is only one of the problems but it's a problem nonetheless. In the manga it's even far more clear how awful the condition is, and without the ROSAT or gravity chamber Gohan stood no chance Qaaman is right. Even if we were to get Goku Black into the story it would be even worse for Gohan and Trunks. Because even if they defeated the androids and Cell, I doubt Babidi would come to Earth because there is not enough energy on Earth for reviving Majin Boo. After all of that if Goku Black shows up it's game over for both.

We don't know for sure what happened to Babidi appear in earth but regardless of what happens he would appear one day since the Buu ball is there but which changes is this: Cell would appear and face Babidi minions including Dabura now if he can win or not it's easy: if Cell survives or gets hidden enough he is slammed through Dabura

People still forget that Future Trunks haven't created the main canonical timeline, which is the official third one. Cell from the original timeline did, a year before timeline 4th Trunks.
One issue with the what-if I see is if Gohan DID finish off the Androids, the reason they were even fighting were because of them. With them gone, I think they wouldn't really have motivation to train that hard and probably put more of their time in trying to help people get the world back together again. No one would really pose a threat that they would need to train that hard. It's the same reason why in their same timeline why all the Z fighters were finished off rather quickly outside of Gokou. They didn't know or think of a really huge threat coming so they couldn't prepare for the battle. And even WITH the warning and training, the fighters in the present time still had a bit of trouble. Vegeta got his ass handed to him, Yamcha had his moment early before 17 and 18 came about, Piccolo had to fuse with Kami to stand a chance and so on. The issue with Imperfect Cell though is all forms of him seems to be sneaky. He knows he's not that strong and just like how he snuck up on Trunk to hitch a right to the present time, I think he would've done the same thing with Gohan and Trunk... with or without a time machine if he knew they were a threat. Take them out one by one by sneaking up behind them. With them gone, the only luck they would have is if Bulma would be able to finish the time machine and head back in time IF she ever got around to coming up and doing it. As you said though, that's a long topic to get into though... and even then with Gohan and Trunks gone and then the Buu saga coming up... that timeline is screwed. If I had to say one positive I would've liked to have seen if Gohan did kill off the Androids, did finish off Cell and somehow the time machine was made, one or both of them went back and somehow still have the present timeline go about the way it would've... only slightly altered... I would've liked to see future gohan meet with Gokou Black as I think an encounter like that would've looked interesting. ...the sad thing is it would just LOOK interesting... if the android wouldn't've been able to kill Gohan, I feel he would've ended by Gokou Black. tl;dr, As you said at the end, I REALLY don't see where there's any positive would happen with Gohan beating the Androids. All he would've done is postponed the inevitable without the time machine.
No Time Machine no Goku Black and future zamasu wouldn’t go all genocidal without black getting him so until Zeno erases them or Golden? Frieza shows up (beerus wouldn’t show up because there would never be ssjg so the oracle fish would never see it in the future to tell beerus about it)

I think the writers didn’t create Future Trunks timeline better than what they should have. Cause you’re right he should’ve been able to contact Gohan from King Kai. But what if Goku didn’t go to King Kai that time? He died from natural causes so basically he’s a soul and didn’t have his body. They say that you can keep your body if you saved earth or something. To me he probably didn’t go to King Kai cause he died from natural causes. For the others they never explained where they went either. Trunks timeline didn’t have a strong backstory sadly. Half of everything is in the air
My take on this what if, based off Anime/History of Trunks + Kakarot DLC/Super/Buu Saga. Gohan defeats the Androids in what would have been his battle where he dies, and Trunks finds out. Imperfect Cell shows up a few years later and gets murked by both Trunks and Gohan. If Bulma was still working on the time machine during this time then she stops due to there being no need, and focuses on helping rebuild Earth by lending resources to the people and by trying to find New Namek. 10 years after Imperfect Cell's Defeat Shin and Kibito arrive on Earth seeking aid from Earth's Strongest Fighters as Babidi is on his way to resurrect Buu. Shin sees potential in both Gohan and Trunks and takes them to train them both at the Planet of the Kais. Gohan has the highest potential and still pulls the Z Sword. Unlike Kakarot DLC and more like Buu Saga Goku shows up and shows both Gohan and Trunks SSJ2, but before either SSJ3 is shown or the Z-Sword gets broken Babidi makes his move, similar to in the Trunks Timeline. Shin, Kibito, Gohan, and Trunks arrive back on Earth and battles Babidi's minions before confronting Babidi and Dabura. During the fight with Dabura Kibito dies and Trunks gets turned to stone alongside the Z-Sword, breaking it. This pisses off Gohan and finally helps him reach SSJ2. Similar to the Trunks version Shin helps Gohan defeat Babidi and Dabura, which in turn saves Trunks. However, Shin does not die thanks to some involvement previously in the fight thanks to Trunks, who learned some of Gohan's techniques. Shin allows the two to train over at the Planet of the Kais and there they meet back up with Goku who tells them both of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber AND shows SSJ3. Before Beerus Arrives Bulma (with the aid of King Kai,) finds New Namek and brings back everyone who died to the androids and repaired the cities of old with the Namekian Dragon Balls, and brings along Dende if Piccolo is still fused with Kami so that Earth has Dragon Balls again. With Vegeta now alive again he returns back to his life before the Androids minus some training to catch up to Gohan and Trunks, eventually reaching SSJ2 and once more concieves Bulla. Gohan (by mere luck or chance,) met Videl (if she and her father are alive,) before Babidi's arrival and eventually gets together and concieves Pan. Trunks on the other hand becomes Earth's new protector and vows to get stronger than ever before, which thanks to the new training at Planet of the Kais AND knowledge of SSJ3 strives towards it, becoming stronger than Gohan but still lacking in battle experience. He also uses the Earth's Dragon Balls to bring Kibito back to life (and this will be important as it will lead to an altered BoG.) Beerus finally begins his search for the Super Saiyan God and finds out the same info as in the normal timeline, which in turn leads to Goku trying to get back alive to aid the others, as Beerus wipes the floor against the others. Eventually Shin makes Kibito agree to give Goku his life with the promise to not destroy the universe. Timeline returns somewhat normal EXCEPT no Goku Black Arc as no time travel was involved, which results in weaker Goku & Vegeta as well. Gohan is also weaker too but Trunks is stronger than main timeline Trunks and becomes a valuable asset when the ToP happens. However without 17 or 18's existence Frieza is resurrected for one day but Universe 7 is still short a member. Even if Universe 7 finds a member, without 17 in the ToP as well as a weaker Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta Universe 11 wins and all the universes gets erased due to Jiren's wish since it is not the wish that brings back every universe. In short, still doomed to erasure by Zeno.

What if Bulma didn’t know a lot of more advance technology like the Future Bulma? Future Bulma was basically underground. Luckily she had the equipment and pieces to put together a Time Machine! Present Bulma I believe couldn’t do that! 3. I hate the fact everyone keep saying Future Gohan should’ve got in contact with King Kai how?! Goku was the only one that had the contact with King Kai! Since he passed away it was in the air 🗣!
The limitation of not being able to wish people back who died of natural causes like Goku... A couple ways around that would be A - Wish for a new body for them and then wish them into that new body. B - Wish that Goku could have unlimited time and access to be on earth even though he's dead. I may not be as versed as you on DB, but I don't think i've heard of Shenron or Parunga not being able to do that. A possible 3rd option would be to use the wishes to upgrade the dragons to break through their wish limitations.
The unseen timeline is pretty much exactly how timeline 1 played out with the Android saga, except cell being the main villian since he didn’t time travel. Android 16,17, and 18 gets defeated in the unseen timeline from being deactivated and trunks took that remote and travel bank to his future timeline deactivate 17 and 18 and later on got k!lled by cell and hijacked trunks time machine to travel back in time accidentally further in the past by 1 year before trunks arrived which created two alternate timelines. Timeline 1 and timeline 2
the only obstacle would be Babidi and Dabura if there were no time travel Shenanigans then there's no Zamasu and if Zeno doesn't Erase the world then it's cool
I the only Other way I see this having a positive outcome is if Shin arrives early and decides to train Gohan and Trunks with the Zeta sword. Which could lead to them finding New Namek and possibly wishing to restore the Earth and maybe his arm too.
Wouldn't the revived z fighters be crazy strong since they could have been training in the afterlife like goku did after dieing to cell and we saw how strong trunks gets on his own being able to king debura in ssj2 now add in a training partner of Gohan and they'll be busted, no need for shin to die
Lol yall relized gohan could of actually beat the androids 1v1. He just kept being jumped. Trunks even stated that he knew how they worked. Every time gohan had a winning chance the androids would tag team. So gohan winning wasnt ENTIRELY a impossible scenario. Gohan just didnt have a push to make him go past his limit or simply wasnt like goku where he was going to keep pushing his self. He pretty much gave up and passed the mantle to trunks. So i dont get why people kept acting like he stood 0 chance
Future Gohan didn’t have anyone to train him like Piccolo and Goku to test his limits! He basically was training Trunks, he wasn’t the greatest teacher? But he tried his best to teach and show Trunks how to fight. Gohan anger was his energy growing up as he got older it’s like that anger was gone. He lost good friends and mentors. That shit hurt him, you can play tough all day but eventually you’ll be crying a river at the end of the night

Future Gohan (Especially from the manga) Could have been over twice as strong and still probably lose to the androids if they two-time him. It is a fun scenario though because who does not love future Gohan, let's be real there.
Well CLEARLY, Mira and Towa found the Future Trunks timeline, and they took control of King Kai to keep him from helping earth at the moment goku and then everyone died, so they could work on controlling them in the after life. Ez.
So the conclusion is future gohan could potentially have victory over the two androids it isn’t impossible but it’s highly unlikely without some kind of rage boost from gohan and determination, a method of using ki blasts and his energy attacks or there are glitches or potential blind spots of android 17 & 18. Which is pretty accurate I would think. It would just require gohan to master the super Saiyan transformation and do some high intensity training with some strategic advantages
2 things. Gohan could have strong enough to beat the Androids if he could have gotten Bulma to make gravity training technology. 2. Gohan and Trunks could have stood a chance against Dabura and Badadi if Supreme Kai were to think ahead and bring Portora earrings with him so Trunks and Gohan could fuse. A fused Gohan and Trunks in this scernio should be able to reach Super Saiyan 2 maybe even 3.
Why didn’t Goku in the afterlife train super hard, then use instant transmission from Otherworld to Earth to blitz the Androids, similar to what he did in the movie to save Gohan?
That cutscene from Dokkan really made me think about what if Future Gohan could defeates androids, he could train with trunks and essentially became stronget than goku, i bet he will get God form with Whis help, Cuz Whis can just revive Goku
One thing that annoys me is how that future Gohan is treated as someone who was born an amputee. Fair enough he lost his arm in a fight against the androids but thing is, when he died and went to the other world, surely he got his arm back. Look at Tien, he lost part of his arm fighting Nappa and when he died and went to king Kia’s planet, he was whole again.
One thing you should remember is gohan fought the whole frieza force people who have had years of fighting experience and he beat them so I’m sure he was alright fighting wise. This gohan never studied .
The only way I see Future Gohan ever somehow killing the androids is if Trunks died and it made him unlock super saiyan 2. That's sadly the only way this Gohan has any hope of this and even then Trunks would be dead and I feel Bulma would still build her time machine simply to try and get her baby boy back.
What happened to the Lookout in the future? Does Kami die because Piccolo did? I'm wondering why Gohan doesn't get summoned or know about the Lookout in that timeline?
I’m not so convinced future Gohan would stop his training after the Androids defeat. He’s been at war with the androids for years and it cost him everything and everyone. Switching back into the slow lane after all that isn’t so simple. I would worry about Cell being sneaky and Majin Buu down the line, but Gohan wouldn’t be slacking.
I feel that everyone should understand that in Trunks timeline since Goku passed away everything didn’t go right for the Z Warriors. Kami never had a chance to fuse with Piccolo which cause Piccolo to die in battle against the androids. Vegeta only reached SSJ and never ascend past that even though he was a SSJ? It wasn’t enough! Yamcha, Tien, Chaoitzu even Krillin was gone with one blow. Only Gohan survived outta of all of them, so think about it even though he reached SSJ it wasn’t enough even losing an arm. What happened in the main timeline was that Goku survived the heart disease despite him not taking the medicine in time which was given by Future Trunks. With Cell being around and all he had time to go to the new planet of Namek to get Dende and meet all the Namekians Goku defended against Frieza. Vegeta reach a level beyond SSJ even Future Trunks when he went back to the present time. Kami fused with Piccolo and Gohan reached another level past SSJ which is SSJ2! With the help of Goku taking him in the hyperbolic time chamber. Could Trunks wish back everyone from the Future timeline with the Dragonballs? I believe he could, but what if the wishes didn’t work for different timelines? The writers couldn’t detail every little thing in DBZ and it get like that. The things that Trunks altered in the past (the main timeline) was successful than in his timeline. If Trunks didn’t go back in time the Z Warriors would’ve never gotten to the levels of their strength the way they got there without him. So Trunks is definitely the MVP of DBZ! With Super I felt they messed up the franchise of DBZ in my opinion. I wished we had a new series of just Trunks in his timeline after the Buu Saga that would’ve been so much better than this Super shit. But Future Gohan deserved so much more I’ll say. He had to give up studying and being homeschool in order to protect the city from the androids he basically was Batman. Put his education down and grab his father’s fighting Gi 😞. He had no choice he was basically the only fighter outta the Z Warriors that was still alive. So seeing him not succeed in destroying the androids was sad. Some said what if Trunks made the wish for Future Gohan to come back instead of Krillin wishing the bombs were removed from 17 and 18? Then I don’t think Krillin and 18 would be together. And I found it weird that Krillin wanted the bomb to removed from 17 and was dead, did Krillin revived him back too along with that? But I think Future Trunks decide not to, cause maybe it was because he miss his father and all the guys so much when he was alive. I mean even though his moms was still alive and grandpa the Ox King, sometimes that might not be enough idk…But Future Gohan I wished went back in time with Future Trunks to see everyone he lost in the Future 💯
What I don’t understand is, didn’t the future have they hyperbolic time chamber? Why couldn’t they train in there. The fact that vegeta trained for one day and surpassed cell 2nd form, a form that was way superior to the androids, they could have easily won
Call me crazy but I don't think the gap between anime Gohan and manga Gohan is as big as most people do. Yeah, the androids went 2 on 1 against him in the anime but I'm not convinced that they had to. To me it looked like they were just screwing around for most of that fight - you can tell when they get serious because they look at each other and nod as if to say "ok, time to finish this now", then they attack and this time Gohan is unable to put up any resistance at all, he's just immediately overwhelmed and killed. Gives me the sense that they could've ended the fight whenever they wanted.
@@QaamansLand I think with anime future Trunks you don’t need as much nuance or speculation since the anime battle shows him firing off numerous ki blasts and punching them in the face over and over and unable to do any damage, which never really happens in DBZ unless the writers want it to be blatant that the worf is severely overmatched.
@@QaamansLand With Gohan they toyed with him at first, then got serious and killed him. With Trunks they toyed with him at first and....kept toying with him until he almost died. I don't know exactly how this jibes with how fans powerscale these characters but Future Trunks vs. the androids felt more to me like a murder scene out of a horror movie than a shonen anime fight. The HoT writers went further out of their way to show Trunks as being way beneath the androids than they did with Gohan.
Qaaman. I'm in the future planing to make my own "what if future gohan kill androids" and i will show it was possible by changing one thing. Trunks must die in gohan final battle. Let's say Gohan let Trunks fight androids with him or Gohan did't knockout Trunks strong enough and Trunks wake up during Gohan fight with androids. Trunks try to helped Gohan and got killed. Then Gohan would unlock SSJ2 and with extra boost of rage he would kill androids. Gohan would took Trunks body to Bulma and after both Gohan and Bulma crying all night and Bulma beating on Gohan that he let her son die. Gohan would say if i only could teleport like my father and ask Nameck to help. She would say. You will meet Goku again and you will bring my son back.
Theres another big question. Why didnt gohan return to namek to use THEIR dragonballs to revive the Z warriors or at the very least piccolo. So that at least they'd have earths dragonballs back. Of course he wouldnt be able to raise goku since he died from sickness but at least vegeta
Trunks should have took him to bulma put him in a sealed casket, then put them in a capsule and took them to the future and revive him with the dragon balls..
Seeing both Piccolo and Goku by Gohan's side was amazing both father figures I think if Gohan had a little bit Vegeta's battle instincts maybe he could have played into their pride. Convince the Androids if you're so powerful why don't you fight me one-on-one jumping me just proves how weak you guys are. If you're the ultimate Android your job is to exterminate humans fine but in a fight you don't prove anything by jumping me. Fight me one-on-one unless you're afraid maybe it would have worked maybe it wouldn't but if it did with no interference I think the Androids might have been dumbfounded. And also infuriated that he would question their strength and they would play right into his hands and agree to his terms. In the movie When Future Gohan had the upper hand 18 was concerned enough to interfere into the fight. Perhaps they were just holding back as usual but 18 still felt she had to jump in.
Also there needs to be an alternate timeline where our bot got help from his father and defeat them because Future trunks pretty much forgot his mentor, he never tried to have him back, he never spoke to the supreme kai but only in db another road they meet again but its a game. And as for the virus toriyama retconned things to push the trunks and mai crap, they wanted to bring everyone back even Goku but pilaf made a wish before Shenlong dies so Goku not returning because he died of natural causes no longer exist. And another retcon Shenlong cured Pans fever so he can cure diseases so why didn't they just go to the dragon and cure the heart virus for Goku in the present and in the future when he got sick? There are too many retcons and plot holes in the series and it's not even funny.
If Gohan had somehow learned the Special Beam Cannon, Mafuba or got Grade 2 or SSJ2 than he could have beaten the Androids. Edit: Bulma could have made a Gravity Chamber but for some reason didn’t.

OG DB won't be affected a lot, but Goku not coming back after dying against Raditz means Vegeta and Nappa come to Earth and clear it out. Vegeta probably gets immortality and kills Frieza, then keeps ruling the galaxy until Zeno eventually erases U7.

As hopeless as the situation was for Gohan regardless of the version, the anime version was just a pure badass for me and that will never change. Gohan knew that he’d most likely fall, but he didn’t give up hope on a better future and fought to the bitter end. Even if both cyborgs were only using half power (the special had them go all out at the start), the fact that they had to jump Gohan just to overwhelm him is just badass.

@@RedMoonFlare truthfully, it’s a whole mess. The amount of teaching wasn’t sufficient for gohan in that timeline, and only goku and Kami knew about the chamber, but both are dead. Plus, the idea to surpass ssj wasn’t introduced or conceived by either goku or Vegeta because both are dead and didn’t teach gohan to look ahead. And zenkais were technically just plot devices in the series and wasn’t really factored into the special.
11:45 shin literally trained trunks with the z sword in the Buu arc. It's possible that trunks and Gohan could spare with shin over and over while Kabito gives them zenkais by healing them. They could definitely beat dabura if they teamed up

Future Gohan learning Instant transmission would have saved his life and arm. It would probably allow him to find New Nanek quickly. Goku, having the foresight to teach him before he died, would be required.
Its crazy to think that trunks as an ssj was less than gohan who as an ssj was still less than a single android in the manga version.

Nobody at that point knew where New Namek was, as seen by Goku needing Kaio’s help to find the planet. Bulma wouldn’t have been able to find it at all

I think Future Gohan could have evaded the androids instead of fighting them until Trunks became the age he was when he first went into the past. This way, Trunks has a high chance of turning Super Saiyan and training with Gohan would be a lot better and they would both grow stronger. I think they both could achieve either grade 4 SSJ(SSJ FP) or grade 5(SSJ2) if they used the Room of Spirit and Time or Bulma created a training room. 🤔

The answer to that is that they didn't know where to find new namek or how to contact them. After the freiza saga the new planet namek was not in the same place as the original. This wasn't a problem in the main Z continuity because goku was able to use instant transmission to teleport there. Gohan/trunks never had that ability available and if they had decided to try that idea they would have to search the universe and hope they'll eventually find namek

I do believe in Trunks timeline before he was born when the namekians left earth to find a new home to call Namek after the brutal fight of Goku and Frieza? Dende went back with them, but because Goku died in the future he never had the chance to find their new home and I think even to bring Dende back to earth to be the guardian after Kami. So that was an idea that couldn’t happen. So basically Dende never went back to Earth to see the Z Warriors again

A youtuber by the name of Lonk's Takes actually did a video on Imperfect Cell vs Future Gohan, where he made the case that Anime Future Gohan actually mightve been stronger than Kamiccolo.
I imagine it going something like we saw in that one dragon ball super heroes episode where it was shown instead of him dying the androids killed trunks and bulma.
We see in xenoverse although none canon that once xeno trunks is beaten by the androids future gohan is able to unlock his hidden potential and beat them due to his pure rage.
And this was after he lost his arm and already had a zenkai boost from this injury and we see in the anime he manages to push them back a bit when both go full power due to this. This zenkai boost is probably the reason the androids finally decided to kill him after 13 years of having him as a plaything. Maybe they noticed he started to catch up somewhat.
And this may not contradict Trunks being toyed and beaten by them despite his claim to having reached Gohans lvl of power. Since Trunks is heavily lacking in experience and its doubtful that gohan ever went full power against him in their sparring. We see this when future trunks thinks Vegeta is winning against 18 and Piccolo has to point out that wasn't exactly the case. So Trunks may have only reached the lvl of power Gohan shown him in their sparring sessions instead which we know to be a heavily suppressed Gohan which is why he was beaten easily despite his claim reaching his lvl.
Imagine Gohan going back in time to meet goku instead of trunks .

With Kami and Dende’s help finding the dragonballs? They’ll be able to bring back everyone else, although in Trunks timeline? I believe that Kami was long gone and Dende went back with the namekian people to find a new home for them since it was destroyed by Frieza while Goku fought him and lost and never decide to come back to earth.

@@QaamansLandif he killed 17 in the anime like for example when gohan fought 17 alone he landed some exchanges and with a decisive punch made him almost lose and forced 18 to jump him with trunks even stating that gohan was winning the fight considering they barely even had significant exchanges in that moment meaning he would have a lot of power left to deal with 18 this is also two armed gohan who later on trained and fought both of then and even overpowered the androids in a beam struggle at full power it is very safe to say that if he found one of then like 18 or even 17 alone for a moment he could kill then quite easily this means he still would have power left to fight and kill the other android this becomes even more clear if you see that there is a teamwork multiplier in the series so he could have done it is just that they knew he could do that and had to get carefull around him if trunks stalled 18 at that moment gohan would have probally defeated 17 and almost killed him before 18 can realise as she would start to play with trunks for a moment then she would rush back to help 17 and now trunks wont need the senzu to keep him alive and now he actually can witness gohan going full power right after he managed to get 17 heavily injured or dead.

@@QaamansLand depends on how you want to go about it as in the daizenshu they are pretty much equal or slightly weaker then present androids and in the anime timeline this can be reasonable as both of then have never fought someone at full power besides gohan who trunks never even saw or sensed that fight so his statements of then being heavily weaker etc. is just then playing with him because even the special makes it clear in his fight with the androids he is actually weaker than gohan it should be similar to the main timeline either way thier gap in power and if we say 18 = 17 it still means the same thing if gohan barely had an exchange with 17 and almost defeated him a almost dead 17 or dead 17 and a healthy 18 would not mach him in combat and in this scenerio i present he still had a senzu,your interpretation of the manga is really acurate and in general reliable but the anime is another thing entirely and in that timeline gohan had a realistic small chance, honestly if trunks got super saiyan before his final fight with the androids gohan could have found the time he needed to end then without the senzu because now the basically lost more than 2x power by being separated
The only way for future Gohan in my opinion for defeating the androids is if he went Super Sayian 2 after witnessing the andriods killing a defense kid right in front of him.
I say this could work because it Gohan was as close or just as slightly weaker to his when he dad came back from Yardrat. His ss2 should be able to defeat the andriods and cell.
Overall, it was a good thing that Bulma made the time machine as Trunks used it to create msny timelines. It would have felt empty with just one.

It speaks to the convention of the Z series, that of strife and desperation to have people suffer and perish. At the same time these things are necessary to have Trunks types grow in what they are truly capable of
Although I do wonder what kind of tracking mechanism the androids were using to prevent Gohan and Trunks from searching for the Dragon Balls. Had Dende not yet fulfilled hia role as protector or was he killed?
If anything they could have asked Shenron for the wisdom to overcome in that situation or reset the death toll. Perhaps Gohan could return to Namek and be granted 3 more wishes
We don't know for sure what kind of agency Gohan has in his diplomacy with Namekians. Surely being his father's image would speak on his behalf. Being the son of the champion of their planet. But the situation isn't as mutually pressing for them as it was when Frieza was oppressing them. A few plot concerns to be sure. But this was Toriyama's roadmap for his plot arc. He wanted to put Trunks at the forefront
In the future timeline 6 months after Goku died of the heart virus Piccolo was killed by the androids without fusing with Kami and no one else knew where Namek's new location was nor did anyone have a way to get there at the time.

Well since the History of Trunks Anime Special is what most of the franchise refers to or adapts to most i guess that's the one I'll use.
Let's say Future Gohan wins his "last" battle against Androids 17 & 18, which I think he might've won in the anime given how much he was pushing them with 1 arm, what happens next?
Trunks wakes up and finds out Gohan has defeated the Androids. The next major step in story development is Bulma. IF she hasn't already started building the time machine, which I think she has by that point, would she still build it or build a spaceship to go to New Namek? Even though they may not know where it is (for the longest time i thought New Namek was in the same spot as the Old Namek) I'm almost certain that Bulma would find a way to locate the planet. Either way, time machine or spaceship, it would take some time before either is built. 3-5 years give or take.
By that time Cell would show up after finding out the androids have been destroyed and would more than likely be defeated by both Gohan and Trunks TOGETHER.
So this is where i came to my "fork in the road" so to speak. If Bulma built the time machine, then we would get events similar to what Trunks went through going back in time. If Bulma built the spaceship, Gohan, Trunks, and maybe even Bulma too would go to find New Namek. How? Well since Bulma is the smartest person in the franchise i have zero doubt that she would be able outfit the spaceship with the dragon radar with INCREASED range meaning that even if New Namek's location is unknown they'd follow the dragon balls location to the planet.
They get to New Namek, make some wishes and be back before Babadi and Buu show up.(hopefully)
Dende will more than likely be brought to Earth to be its guardian even if Piccolo is somehow not brought back to life, to rejuvenate Earth's Dragon Balls.
Buu Saga: if given enough time to train in the hyperbolic time chamber, Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, and Vegeta (if he's wished back) all could be around the level of Dabura with INTENSE training upon their return to Earth.
I know this was long and probably rushed but this was just MY take on this What-if scenario. Constructive Criticism is welcomed.

He got himself killed,his power IS his rage.
Even Ultimate Gohan is simply the power of his full rage but in a mastered calm state.
Beast being the SSJ2 form of this new base state(like Blue is to God)

That and not having any mentors and having poor nutrition is why he was weak.
And unfortunately as we learn in the Buu saga he has a hard time being angry again.
In the Cell Games he got so strong cause Goku taught him his anger was his power.

You are correct but believe or not? That anger started turning to him having a ego. Remember when he beat Cell so bad he turned back to his second form? Goku wanted Gohan to get rid of him and he had the the full advantage to. But Gohan wanted him to suffer more so he played with him alittle longer not knowing this guy had other plans despite him getting beat back to his previous form. When Buu came he killed Gohan when he was with Supreme Kai but he came back to life and had a second chance to fight him. He literally did the same thing he did when he was fighting Cell not eliminating his opponents quicker and got absorbed. Vegeta scold him about that and know that kid had an amazing power than both Goku and him 💯! He didn’t focus more on that!

This should be more of what if king Kai contacted future gohan and got him to train with him or what if supreme Kai arrived early in trunks timeline
You see now I love the HOT special a lot and after reading the manga for answering questions I realized how much they changed in the movie. Making Gohan appear a lot more powerful than he actually was. That is only one of the problems but it's a problem nonetheless. In the manga it's even far more clear how awful the condition is, and without the ROSAT or gravity chamber Gohan stood no chance Qaaman is right. Even if we were to get Goku Black into the story it would be even worse for Gohan and Trunks. Because even if they defeated the androids and Cell, I doubt Babidi would come to Earth because there is not enough energy on Earth for reviving Majin Boo. After all of that if Goku Black shows up it's game over for both.
Yeah but it's impossible for Goku Black to occur. Future Goku is dead and there is no main timeline of Goku since that timeline was never created.

We don't know for sure what happened to Babidi appear in earth but regardless of what happens he would appear one day since the Buu ball is there but which changes is this: Cell would appear and face Babidi minions including Dabura now if he can win or not it's easy: if Cell survives or gets hidden enough he is slammed through Dabura
@@Eric6761 Yes. But all I am saying is- With Cell presumably defeated, and the only two powerful enough on Earth are Future Gohan and Future Trunks Babidi won't stay there. Because no matter how powerful they are at the time of his arrival they can't give enough for hatching Boo.
People still forget that Future Trunks haven't created the main canonical timeline, which is the official third one. Cell from the original timeline did, a year before timeline 4th Trunks.

One issue with the what-if I see is if Gohan DID finish off the Androids, the reason they were even fighting were because of them. With them gone, I think they wouldn't really have motivation to train that hard and probably put more of their time in trying to help people get the world back together again. No one would really pose a threat that they would need to train that hard. It's the same reason why in their same timeline why all the Z fighters were finished off rather quickly outside of Gokou. They didn't know or think of a really huge threat coming so they couldn't prepare for the battle. And even WITH the warning and training, the fighters in the present time still had a bit of trouble. Vegeta got his ass handed to him, Yamcha had his moment early before 17 and 18 came about, Piccolo had to fuse with Kami to stand a chance and so on.
The issue with Imperfect Cell though is all forms of him seems to be sneaky. He knows he's not that strong and just like how he snuck up on Trunk to hitch a right to the present time, I think he would've done the same thing with Gohan and Trunk... with or without a time machine if he knew they were a threat. Take them out one by one by sneaking up behind them.
With them gone, the only luck they would have is if Bulma would be able to finish the time machine and head back in time IF she ever got around to coming up and doing it. As you said though, that's a long topic to get into though... and even then with Gohan and Trunks gone and then the Buu saga coming up... that timeline is screwed.
If I had to say one positive I would've liked to have seen if Gohan did kill off the Androids, did finish off Cell and somehow the time machine was made, one or both of them went back and somehow still have the present timeline go about the way it would've... only slightly altered... I would've liked to see future gohan meet with Gokou Black as I think an encounter like that would've looked interesting.
...the sad thing is it would just LOOK interesting... if the android wouldn't've been able to kill Gohan, I feel he would've ended by Gokou Black.
tl;dr, As you said at the end, I REALLY don't see where there's any positive would happen with Gohan beating the Androids. All he would've done is postponed the inevitable without the time machine.

I think the writers didn’t create Future Trunks timeline better than what they should have. Cause you’re right he should’ve been able to contact Gohan from King Kai. But what if Goku didn’t go to King Kai that time? He died from natural causes so basically he’s a soul and didn’t have his body. They say that you can keep your body if you saved earth or something. To me he probably didn’t go to King Kai cause he died from natural causes. For the others they never explained where they went either. Trunks timeline didn’t have a strong backstory sadly. My take on this what if, based off Anime/History of Trunks + Kakarot DLC/Super/Buu Saga. Gohan defeats the Androids in what would have been his battle where he dies, and Trunks finds out. Imperfect Cell shows up a few years later and gets murked by both Trunks and Gohan. If Bulma was still working on the time machine during this time then she stops due to there being no need, and focuses on helping rebuild Earth by lending resources to the people and by trying to find New Namek. 10 years after Imperfect Cell's Defeat Shin and Kibito arrive on Earth seeking aid from Earth's Strongest Fighters as Babidi is on his way to resurrect Buu. Shin sees potential in both Gohan and Trunks and takes them to train them both at the Planet of the Kais. Gohan has the highest potential and still pulls the Z Sword. Unlike Kakarot DLC and more like Buu Saga Goku shows up and shows both Gohan and Trunks SSJ2, but before either SSJ3 is shown or the Z-Sword gets broken Babidi makes his move, similar to in the Trunks Timeline. Shin, Kibito, Gohan, and Trunks arrive back on Earth and battles Babidi's minions before confronting Babidi and Dabura. During the fight with Dabura Kibito dies and Trunks gets turned to stone alongside the Z-Sword, breaking it. This pisses off Gohan and finally helps him reach SSJ2. Similar to the Trunks version Shin helps Gohan defeat Babidi and Dabura, which in turn saves Trunks. However, Shin does not die thanks to some involvement previously in the fight thanks to Trunks, who learned some of Gohan's techniques. Shin allows the two to train over at the Planet of the Kais and there they meet back up with Goku who tells them both of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber AND shows SSJ3. Before Beerus Arrives Bulma (with the aid of King Kai,) finds New Namek and brings back everyone who died to the androids and repaired the cities of old with the Namekian Dragon Balls, and brings along Dende if Piccolo is still fused with Kami so that Earth has Dragon Balls again. With Vegeta now alive again he returns back to his life before the Androids minus some training to catch up to Gohan and Trunks, eventually reaching SSJ2 and once more concieves Bulla. Gohan (by mere luck or chance,) met Videl (if she and her father are alive,) before Babidi's arrival and eventually gets together and concieves Pan. Trunks on the other hand becomes Earth's new protector and vows to get stronger than ever before, which thanks to the new training at Planet of the Kais AND knowledge of SSJ3 strives towards it, becoming stronger than Gohan but still lacking in battle experience. He also uses the Earth's Dragon Balls to bring Kibito back to life (and this will be important as it will lead to an altered BoG.) Beerus finally begins his search for the Super Saiyan God and finds out the same info as in the normal timeline, which in turn leads to Goku trying to get back alive to aid the others, as Beerus wipes the floor against the others. Eventually Shin makes Kibito agree to give Goku his life with the promise to not destroy the universe. Timeline returns somewhat normal EXCEPT no Goku Black Arc as no time travel was involved, which results in weaker Goku & Vegeta as well. Gohan is also weaker too but Trunks is stronger than main timeline Trunks and becomes a valuable asset when the ToP happens. However without 17 or 18's existence Frieza is resurrected for one day but Universe 7 is still short a member. Even if Universe 7 finds a member, without 17 in the ToP as well as a weaker Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta Universe 11 wins and all the universes gets erased due to Jiren's wish since it is not the wish that brings back every universe. In short, still doomed to erasure by Zeno.

The limitation of not being able to wish people back who died of natural causes like Goku... A couple ways around that would be A - Wish for a new body for them and then wish them into that new body. B - Wish that Goku could have unlimited time and access to be on earth even though he's dead. I may not be as versed as you on DB, but I don't think i've heard of Shenron or Parunga not being able to do that. A possible 3rd option would be to use the wishes to upgrade the dragons to break through their wish limitations.

The unseen timeline is pretty much exactly how timeline 1 played out with the Android saga, except cell being the main villian since he didn’t time travel. Android 16,17, and 18 gets defeated in the unseen timeline from being deactivated and trunks took that remote and travel bank to his future timeline deactivate 17 and 18 and later on got k!lled by cell and hijacked trunks time machine to travel back in time accidentally further in the past by 1 year before trunks arrived which created two alternate timelines. Wouldn't the revived z fighters be crazy strong since they could have been training in the afterlife like goku did after dieing to cell and we saw how strong trunks gets on his own being able to king debura in ssj2 now add in a training partner of Gohan and they'll be busted, no need for shin to die
Vegeta would be the weakest if they revived them years later, since he’d be in hell, while everyone else was keeping their body and training.

Lol yall relized gohan could of actually beat the androids 1v1. He just kept being jumped. Trunks even stated that he knew how they worked. Every time gohan had a winning chance the androids would tag team. So gohan winning wasnt ENTIRELY a impossible scenario. Gohan just didnt have a push to make him go past his limit or simply wasnt like goku where he was going to keep pushing his self.

Future Gohan didn’t have anyone to train him like Piccolo and Goku to test his limits! He basically was training Trunks, he wasn’t the greatest teacher? But he tried his best to teach and show Trunks how to fight. Gohan anger was his energy growing up as he got older it’s like that anger was gone. He lost good friends and mentors. That shit hurt him, you can play tough all day but eventually you’ll be crying a river at the end of the night

Future Gohan (Especially from the manga) Could have been over twice as strong and still probably lose to the androids if they two-time him. It is a fun scenario though because who does not love future Gohan, let's be real there.
Well CLEARLY, Mira and Towa found the Future Trunks timeline, and they took control of King Kai to keep him from helping earth at the moment goku and then everyone died, so they could work on controlling them in the after life. Ez.

So the conclusion is future gohan could potentially have victory over the two androids it isn’t impossible but it’s highly unlikely without some kind of rage boost from gohan and determination, a method of using ki blasts and his energy attacks or there are glitches or potential blind spots of android 17 & 18. Which is pretty accurate I would think. It would just require gohan to master the super Saiyan transformation and do some high intensity training with some strategic advantages

2 things.
Gohan could have strong enough to beat the Androids if he could have gotten Bulma to make gravity training technology.
2. Gohan and Trunks could have stood a chance against Dabura and Badadi if Supreme Kai were to think ahead and bring Portora earrings with him so Trunks and Gohan could fuse. A fused Gohan and Trunks in this scernio should be able to reach Super Saiyan 2 maybe even 3.
Why didn’t Goku in the afterlife train super hard, then use instant transmission from Otherworld to Earth to blitz the Androids, similar to what he did in the movie to save Gohan?

One thing that annoys me is how that future Gohan is treated as someone who was born an amputee. Fair enough he lost his arm in a fight against the androids but thing is, when he died and went to the other world, surely he got his arm back. Look at Tien, he lost part of his arm fighting Nappa and when he died and went to king Kia’s planet, he was whole again.
One thing you should remember is gohan fought the whole frieza force people who have had years of fighting experience and he beat them so I’m sure he was alright fighting wise. This gohan never studied .
The only way I see Future Gohan ever somehow killing the androids is if Trunks died and it made him unlock super saiyan 2. That's sadly the only way this Gohan has any hope of this and even then Trunks would be dead and I feel Bulma would still build her time machine simply to try and get her baby boy back.

I’m not so convinced future Gohan would stop his training after the Androids defeat. He’s been at war with the androids for years and it cost him everything and everyone. Switching back into the slow lane after all that isn’t so simple. I would worry about Cell being sneaky and Majin Buu down the line, but Gohan wouldn’t be slacking.
I feel that everyone should understand that in Trunks timeline since Goku passed away everything didn’t go right for the Z Warriors. Kami never had a chance to fuse with Piccolo which cause Piccolo to die in battle against the androids. Vegeta only reached SSJ and never ascend past that even though he was a SSJ? It wasn’t enough! Yamcha, Tien, Chaoitzu even Krillin was gone with one blow. Only Gohan survived outta of all of them, so think about it even though he reached SSJ it wasn’t enough even losing an arm. What happened in the main timeline was that Goku survived the heart disease despite him not taking the medicine in time which was given by Future Trunks. With Cell being around and all he had time to go to the new planet of Namek to get Dende and meet all the Namekians Goku defended against Frieza. Vegeta reach a level beyond SSJ even Future Trunks when he went back to the present time. Kami fused with Piccolo and Gohan reached another level past SSJ which is SSJ2! With the help of Goku taking him in the hyperbolic time chamber.
Could Trunks wish back everyone from the Future timeline with the Dragonballs? I believe he could, but what if the wishes didn’t work for different timelines? The writers couldn’t detail every little thing in DBZ and it get like that. The things that Trunks altered in the past (the main timeline) was successful than in his timeline. If Trunks didn’t go back in time the Z Warriors would’ve never gotten to the levels of their strength the way they got there without him. So Trunks is definitely the MVP of DBZ! With Super I felt they messed up the franchise of DBZ in my opinion. I wished we had a new series of just Trunks in his timeline after the Buu Saga that would’ve been so much better than this Super shit.
But Future Gohan deserved so much more I’ll say. He had to give up studying and being homeschool in order to protect the city from the androids he basically was Batman. Put his education down and grab his father’s fighting Gi 😞. He had no choice he was basically the only fighter outta the Z Warriors that was still alive. Call me crazy but I don't think the gap between anime Gohan and manga Gohan is as big as most people do. Yeah, the androids went 2 on 1 against him in the anime but I'm not convinced that they had to. To me it looked like they were just screwing around for most of that fight - you can tell when they get serious because they look at each other and nod as if to say "ok, time to finish this now", then they attack and this time Gohan is unable to put up any resistance at all, he's just immediately overwhelmed and killed. Gives me the sense that they could've ended the fight whenever they wanted.
Then compare Trunks' anime performance. Since both were shown off screen in the manga.
@@QaamansLand I think with anime future Trunks you don’t need as much nuance or speculation since the anime battle shows him firing off numerous ki blasts and punching them in the face over and over and unable to do any damage, which never really happens in DBZ unless the writers want it to be blatant that the worf is severely overmatched.

@@QaamansLand With Gohan they toyed with him at first, then got serious and killed him. With Trunks they toyed with him at first and....kept toying with him until he almost died. I don't know exactly how this jibes with how fans powerscale these characters but Future Trunks vs. the androids felt more to me like a murder scene out of a horror movie than a shonen anime fight. The HoT writers went further out of their way to show Trunks as being way beneath the androids than they did with Gohan.
Qaaman. I'm in the future planing to make my own "what if future gohan kill androids" and i will show it was possible by changing one thing. Trunks must die in gohan final battle. Let's say Gohan let Trunks fight androids with him or Gohan did't knockout Trunks strong enough and Trunks wake up during Gohan fight with androids. Trunks try to helped Gohan and got killed. Then Gohan would unlock SSJ2 and with extra boost of rage he would kill androids. Gohan would took Trunks body to Bulma and after both Gohan and Bulma crying all night and Bulma beating on Gohan that he let her son die. Gohan would say if i only could teleport like my father and ask Nameck to help. She would say. You will meet Goku again and you will bring my son back.

Seeing both Piccolo and Goku by Gohan's side was amazing both father figures I think if Gohan had a little bit Vegeta's battle instincts maybe he could have played into their pride.

And as for the virus toriyama retconned things to push the trunks and mai crap, they wanted to bring everyone back even Goku but pilaf made a wish before Shenlong dies so Goku not returning because he died of natural causes no longer exist.
And another retcon Shenlong cured Pans fever so he can cure diseases so why didn't they just go to the dragon and cure the heart virus for Goku in the present and in the future when he got sick? There are too many retcons and plot holes in the series and it's not even funny.
If Gohan had somehow learned the Special Beam Cannon, Mafuba or got Grade 2 or SSJ2 than he could have beaten the Androids. Edit: Bulma could have made a Gravity Chamber but for some reason didn’t.
