- I'm back with another What's for Dinner video for you this week! I needed to step back from editing the first week of school because we were trying to get back into a good routine...which is tough since we homeschooled the past two years! But I feel like we have the hang of things and I'm finally figuring out a great schedule for my work for UA-cam. Thanks for your patience and understanding! This week's meals were so good and we LOVED the Subbie Supper from Kristen!

**OUR MOST ASKED QUESTION ANSWERED**
Q: Does Steven ever not like anything? 😂
A: Of course!! First of all, we have been married for 19 years and I was not always good in the kitchen. In fact, I was a pretty terrible cook for the first 12 years or so. So there were plenty of times when neither of us liked what I made. But I've gotten better at picking out meals that I'm pretty sure we will enjoy. I don't just go pick a recipe and cook it. I read through it and research different variations before I deem it a good one to try.
Secondly, if we were to not like something I would NOT show it here. Solely because I want to share only recipes that we would recommend. I don't want to waste your time, or my time (editing) on a recipe we would never tell anyone else to try. We've only had that happen once - and I got rid of the footage we had filmed (which was so sad because we took time to film it).
I hope that answers that question! Remember also that we only film 3 meals a week. The rest of the time we have our family favs or go out to dinner.

Hubby just asked what I was doing... I am in my candle room and watching you on the larger screen and honestly I have had to write down numbers to different videos so I can find what am looking to make.. then I get sidetracked and see a new one.. My family loves cabbage soup. I've never tried it with leeks. Can't wait to try them. Usually when I make mine I add about a teaspoon of sugar and about 2 tblspoons of just regular old mustard. Sometimes we will have just fried onion, cabbage and sausage with the same seasonings including the mustard and sugar and just serve next to white rice. My family loves this one!! Thank you for sharing your meals!

I have been making Alice spring chicken for years! It’s a family favorite. I use to have to make it 2-3 times a month. I’ll make the sauce a day ahead, marinate the chicken in a bit of it overnight and then sear it in the bacon grease. Amazing.

I saved this to watch while I make dinner today. I just love your videos. Made your brown rice the other day. I sautéed some minced garlic and onions in olive oil and stirred my rice around in it and then put everything in the oven. It was delicious! Also I wanted more than a cup so I used 1.5 cups. Great as leftovers too! I cooked it with your chicken fried steak recipe. You rock.

oh btw, we don't eat mushrooms so I substituted that for sliced carrots on the bottom and it is very good the sauce and carrots also.
