Really enjoy this style of painting guide. Watching the whole process sped up makes things seem much more achievable. So many videos will skip forward and all of a sudden the model looks heaps better than the before shot and you’re like “yeh isn’t the whole point of this video to see how it went from A to B?”. Watching the whole process is much better (and also weirdly zen 😂)
Excellent video. On the older figures, I find a little color really makes them pop. For Orc archers, blood red bows with a quick highlight will do the trick. Think about the old Chaos Warriors, the hunched cartoony ones. Sure, they have armor on, but painting them realistically can make them look dull. Something about the style of the old figures and the softness of the detail seems to require louder colors.
