- Here's a list of books that we read this year in bookclub! We actually only read five books together because I had a few personal emergencies in July and had to postpone the club for a month.

CHECK OUT MY BOOK! :D 101 Ways to Go Zero Waste fave.co/2ROu5DX
As I am a kid, I could not read the actual book of the story of stuff... I wahed the animated video by the story of stuff project and that is great !!!
The Story of Stuff is life altering. Shelbizeee recommends this book.
Shelbizleee, sorry misspelled it.
I love Shelbizleee
Queen Nala is always welcome!
RE: planned obsolescence. Not only do they design products to break easily, but they are impossible to fix. When was the last time you saw a place that repaired TV's or vacuum cleaners? I saw an old episode of "I Love Lucy" where Ricky asked her where the toaster was. She explained that she had knocked it off the counter, so it was out being repaired. That is nearly impossible now, especially since they like to put big stickers all over the back of items saying that if you open it or try to fix it, you void the warranty. Sometimes it will tell you that it can only be fixed by an "authorized" repair center, but that place is always somewhere like Nagasaki or Pakistan.
A lot of repair shops have gone out of business too. :( It's so sad that everything is so disposable.
I read a good book called, "Slow Death by Rubber Duck." It sounds like similar information to #2. I'll have to look for these books.
Ooo! I'll check it out I'm always interested in giving these types of books a read.
Hi Kathryn, thank you for these book ideas! I never read books related to sustainability and I’m so excited to start with these recommendations from you! 🙌🙌🤗
I’ve read The Story of Stuff & your book! I had Braiding Sweetgrass on my to-read list and now it’s at the top! Also added All We Can Save to it. I can’t wait to read them! Thanks for the recs Kathryn!
All We Can Save is SO good! It's got a bunch of different perspectives so a little bit of something for everyone.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for this
101 Ways to Go Zero Waste: This book is terrible! The author has no knowledge of cats and dogs, and therefore recommends harmful behaviour towards these animals. The author should first read about anatomy, dietetics and animal behavior, and then write about zero waste. There are tons of solutions for animals that do not harm them and are zero waste! But in this book? Horrible. How can you have an animal and not know anything about it? Selfish! I am an animal lover and nobody has upset me so much. This information should be corrected as soon as possible so that it does not harm the animals.
thank you for this comment, I have cats at home and I was considering to get the book
Thank you.
May I ask how one can print an eco friendly handbook? I feel like this is important too >.
Where do we sign up for Book Club?

I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers.
Love your content. Thanks so much for the recommendations. I am currently listening to the story of stuff because Shelbizleee recommends it so much. I’ve also heard great things about braiding sweet grass and plan to check that out soon. On another note, I have an idea for a future video perhaps. I am an arts-and-crafter and love painting (mostly with acrylics), but i know a lot of this stuff can be toxic and is not zero waste. I’m now filled with guilt about all my art supplies, and sad that I’d be doing harm by purchasing more. Plus I’m not sure what is the best way to dispose of them. Do you know of many low waste alternatives? I’ve found a couple watercolor swaps, but that’s about it. Another subject that no one really talks about is light pollution and how our lights are harming the environment by disorienting animals and insects. Just some ideas. Much love!! Keep up the good work!!
❤️❤️❤️
Love these tips! I've been reading some more books about environmentalism lately and can use some more recommendations, so this was perfect timing :)
I’m definitely going to read these! I’m excited to read your book
Story of stuff broke my heart but also offered hope. Have you every read “Kiss the Ground”? This one also broke my heart but offered hope as well.
KTG is on my list! I don't mind a downer if it's got action at the end. But, I hate books that are all about a problem and then don't give tips on how to... you know, solve it.
I have your book on audible and have ordered it in a paperback for the recipes
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :)
