40:04 yes! this is Ultra Despair Girls, a spinoff game (that is still very relevant to the overall franchise). it's best played after this game and before the DR3 anime, if you're interrsted.
Ohhhh got it!! Thank you! Not sure if I will be covering it on the channel but we shall see :)
A lot of people say UDG is skippable. Same for DR3. But I think there are very strong cases for why they're not. That said, I have discouraged people from UDG before due to knowing they have certain traumas. It's a bit darker than the rest of the franchise.
@@warmmilk9480 If people just want to proceed to V3 then yea both UDG and DR3 anime can arguably be skipped. It's only that UDG provides more world-building and context while DR3 anime provides follow-up and closure. Ofc, for very understandable reasons, UDG is also skipped because of certain topics, so it's just up to the player if their interest is piqued enough to try the game out.
@@kiel127 I do know the reasons. I brought them up. But I don't think that's all of them. But obviously discussing it in too much detail would be spoiling things.
Ibuki is a certified Yapper, she's great
TRUEEE i will miss her :(
28:37 To answer your "what's that" question, the Lambada is a Brazilian dance, and go-go dancers at a discotech were a popular thing at clubs in the '60's. Basically it just means that Sonia's idea of what young people do these days is hopelessly outdated.
Ohh got it! Thank you! That is definitely a bit outdated for Sonia lol
Fun Fact: there is actually a fan made song of "I squeezed out the baby but I have no idea who the father is" and it's incredibly really good
I feel like the 3rd trial is always one of the more insane trials in these games. It’ll be fun to see how you react to everything 😃
Its definitely been a wild ride so far, I am excited to see how the trial and investigation go lol, I already have ideas brewing as to the suspect lol
I feel like you described it pretty well...this chapter is certainly, insane lol😅
@@erickperez6599 oh yeah it's been wild so far like oh my god 😅😨😨😨
this chapter is how fuyuhiko became my favourite character by far tbh, hes so awesome
HE IS DEFFO REDEEMING HIMSELF
certain scenes trigger when you have certain items. I think you may have comic book gift that made you see that scene of Neko and Akane. Also the toy camera triggered the music scene.
@@angelbarrera3890 ohhhh got it!! That's so interesting I had no idea!! Good to know 😁😁
Love the fact that you have the same laugh as Gundham 😂
I love that we share that evil cackle LOL
This sure was interesting to see again while suffering from a high fever haha 😅
Oh noo I hope you feel better soon 😭😭
JUST as hiyoko was starting to get an arc 😭 was really hoping she would pull through for mahiru
I think with hiyoko she was just beginning to change - with being a hit nicer and working with fuyuhiko but unfortunately that change was nipped in the bud REAL quick, I was NOT expecting it this soon honestly
I’m glad you decided to keep playing the monomi minigame at the beginning of the chapters. It may be a little detail but I think it adds a bit more to the inmersion of the story actually seeing the reason why the monobeasts dissapear.
40:00 Someone already informed about this but yes, that’s the next game of the franchise, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, it comes after SDR2 and before the DR3 anime. It’s a pretty fun and interesting game in my opinion. I definitely hope you check it out eventually.
This chapter is very strange, but i still like some moments in it, wondering what you'll think of it!
@@therealshrinemaiden6898 it's deffo been wild so far!! Yeah I'm interested to do in investigation and trial...I have some theories brewing already lol
omg this is my favourite case in the entire franchise
looking forward to see your reactions
I am looking forward to the next part to see WTF happened in this one cuz omg
this is my personal favourite chapter and trial in the game OMG YESS we made it 😂😂😂😂 pls be EXTRA CAREFUL reading comments for this chapter/trial because certain fans go around spoiling this chapter in specific
I will be careful for sure! Thanks for the warning :D I am excited to play this one, its definitely gotten off to an interesting start thats for sure!
I started replaying the game since you started and I'm three episodes behind now because of all the things I'm busy with. Hope I can catch up this month and keep up with the third game, (which I only played half of) if you ever decide to play 😄
Ooo fingers crossed!! I hope your having fun playing! 😁✌️ I will deffo be playing the final game though I may cover something else first to break it up a little :)
41:06 so uhh...funny thing. I brought this sticker. It was in my collector edition of Danganronpa :D
Also yes, the poster is for the next game in line - "Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls". If you continue the series, it should be next chronologically. It is integral to the first game and Danganronpa 3(anime, canonical finale of these three games), answering some important questions from the first game too.
People often say it's a spin off, but i partially disagree, since it is very much connected to the story of all other characters. It just different genre than usual, a third person shooter(an easy one), but still heavily leaning into VN.
One more thing, i would warn you about, despair girls probably the most disturbing game in a series due to it bringing up themes of child abuse, and how different and awful it can be.
It's between DR1 and 2, chronologically, not after DR2.
@lautael5299 i didn't mean timeline. Order of release mostly. Cuz Another Episode spoils DR2
love seeing your reactions hahaha
lol well I hope you enjoy my reaction to this one lol
Whoa it's out already. Thank youuu 😭
Enjoyyy!! I am trying to get episodes out a bit more regularly for this one as I want to finish this by mid - Jan hopefully :)
It was more painful for me, as I happened to finish Ibuki's conversations on this very chapter 😢
Awh shit :( I'm sorry that sucks :( it's really tough not being able to finish the convos with certain characters, I'm trying to focus on completing the characters I like/am intrigued about the most rn, it's tough to choose 😭
1:49:11 you should do some free times with Akane then you would see her depth. Never forget you're playing a game where characters are gonna die before you have a chance to get to know them
That's true, I'll try spend some time with her next free time and as the cast is dwindling rather rapidly I'm presuming she is going to have a more front and centre role soon
51:20 So, starting from danganronpa 2 (later it also appears in danganronpa V3) there are unique secret events (1-2 in each chapter) that get triggered if you have a required gift. You can't know what gift and when do you need unless you look it up in wiki. This is just one of them you triggered here
OHHH got it, thank you!! I will probably just let myself be surprised when they happen lol unless there's a particular one I should try to see 😁✌️
Titty Typhoon this title make me laugh to death for 1 and 1/2 days xD
It's such a dumb name 😂 I love it lol
I can't wait to play Tribe Nine
The art of the game is like Danganronpa
I have heard of tribe nine, not seen a trailer but that sounds dope. Unfortunately it's a gacha right? Which means I can't play it as I have too many already haha I hope it's great though!
Here we go again
The 3rd chapter's curse
Hope you enjoy it thought ❤
TRUE i forgot about the 3rd chapter curse lol, lets see what happens haha
this video is over, throw in a new video, queen ! 🤓☝️
Of course there are two victims, it’s Chapter 3!
One point about UDG: THE game that was referenced here. Its pretty good but its a third person shooter and has some darker topics than this game. I think most of it is pretty well done story wise though.
2:09:59 omg i forgot about his hair getting hard😭😭
They always like to kill off the characters that were about to have their redemption arc in this particular title. Always feels to me like discarded potential. Tho I guess they traded one for the other in this case.
Yeah for sure! Usually the character that is going to die has a bit more focus or mystery around them so that's usually a huge red flag if they are trying to change lol
1:33:31 Yeah I basically had the same reaction XD
This chapter is.............
yeah. But hey its pretty good :D I like seeing peoples reactions
@@Wellpeckyoutoo LOL YEAAAH it's definitely been a ride so far 🤣🤣 will have to see how to investigation and trial goes lol
yay
WOO hehe
Guys, I like Hiyoko, am I normal?
LETS GOOOOO
@@Finny_. Hehe enjoyyyy
Could you react to more NIKKE music? I have a few songs that were released not so long ago: Wrecking storm, Outbreak, Ready to go
Some aspects of this chapter, especially its motive, make me dislike it, since it imho goes against what Danganronpa is suppose to be about. Still, it has good moments, and VERY interesting character moments
Yeah, it kinda feels like Monokuma handpicked a culprit this time around. Spoilers below for whole series for my interpretation of why I think this is.
Monokuma wants to kill off the students as fast as possible, he is not trying to convey a message this time around. The only reason he is even bothering with making it into a game is because of the rule preventing him from interacting with students that have not broken a rule. If that rule didn’t exist then Monokuma would just kill the amount of students he needed to kill without the need of a game. In the first game the goal was to convey a message, in the anime it’s to push someone into a corner and force them to use their talent, in V3 it’s simply because it’s a show. This game is the only one where Monokuma is forced to make it a game. Because of this context it makes this motive more enjoyable for me. This explanation is the same reason why the 4th motive is also so direct, essentially forcing a murder.
The motive is a hint to Monokuma's motivation though. He doesn't really care if it is a fair game as much
@@Moleoflandsyeah, that.
OOOO i am intrigued! lets see what happens hmmmm hehe
