kingandizzle89 yup, we can all tell issei is better. He just repeats a lot of moves, though you can see that he has a lot of new sets it's not enough. Issei has a lot of potential and he just keeps getting better, and I admire thesis with his originality, mofo works a lot for all of those different sets.
Renegade should never be a judge lol. Youll know what im saying if u ever listened to his commentary. He sounds like he's on crack and judges by feelings and vibes but put zero aspect on contents and other important attributes
Thesis ROCKED the music way better than Issei. thats why he won. this is a dance and thesis clearly knew the music way better than issei. he was even singing along with the lyrics. thesis' toprock? footwork? originality? detail? Thesis was more well rounded and hit more beats. thats why he won. isseis got him on powermoves and blow ups but the dance is so much more than that. issei wasnt about to beat thesis in an exchange of hitting beats either. I would give the first two rounds to thesis and the last round to issei. it was a good battle. I give respect to issei too cuz in the battle he was hyping up thesis and being playful too and not all bboys do that. respect.
Thesis dances with so much flavor. Issei had great power and musicality but, Thesis was just better rounded. From a technical perspective it looks like Issei won with his great tricks but, from a dance perspective it looks like Thesis won with his intricate movements and attitude.
No more than Thesis in the first 2 rounds at all ! Men don't spend 1/8 on top 😣 ... can't take the credit that he 's a top bboy but I agree with the judge by been 2-1
***** Issei can dance but compared to Thesis, he just looked so basic/run of the mill. Right now Issei kinda reminds me of lil G and Blond in their early years. He got the power and musicality but he just haven't really come into his own style yet. Though thats just my opinion..
The dislikes are real with this video. Why can't we appreciate both styles and where they came from? Thesis has so much detail in his style, techs and movement we wouldn't even understand, I see why he won. Issei is still a youngin, but has proved to be one of the top elite bboys of the world for his age. He has that strong authentic power bboy style. And can definitely dance too. This was a great battle overall, there's no winner here when both pulled out their infamous signatures and kept it all on that floor. Much respect to both.
Great battle overall, but I feel like Issei repeated some moves/freezes, 1:30 jump into a freeze was used against Bruce, sick beatkill but still a repeat. Not taking away on his greatness, hes a world level bboy, just throwing it out there. Thats why I think Thesis took the battle tbh.
My thoughts on this battle are the same as the one between Issei v Kuzya last year: We're watching this battle in isolation from the whole event. The judges meanwhile watched Issei battle from the Pre-Rounds up to the Finals. So maybe the judges felt that Issei was repeating his moves too much, because (you have to admit) Issei does similar variations of spins/flares/halos. Thesis is definitely guilty of repeating patterns too but because of how he structures his sets, it's so much harder to catch it when he does. I don't know what the results of the Pre-Rounds Issei v Thesis battle were, but I wouldn't be surprised if Issei beat Thesis in that battle when Issei's moves were still fresh and new. But by the time they both met up again in the Final, it looked like Thesis was still keeping it fresh while Issei was coming off as repeating. And in reply to the people who say Issei's musicality in the 1st round was better than Thesis's, I have to disagree. Issei definitely killed the beat with his flip and his freeze from 1:31-1:33. However, Thesis was riding the beat through his whole set, and his moves were more intricate and complex. Neither was more musical than the other, they were musical in their own ways. This round could have gone either way (It was 3-2 decision after all) and I guess different judges place higher points on different styles of musicality, even if they aren't biased.
i did not read comments yet and saw only issei here, thesis used to be my idol, but when i saw 1st round of issei, its just unbelievable inhuman, probably best full-stack bboy i ve seen, incredible power transitions and top beat killer, just now i understand all that hype around him, was better than you can imagine any combo made in bboy game, one of best ive seen
Thesis the goat. He seems like the only bboy who actually toprocks/finesses with the music. It gives him that x factor not to mention he breaks in themes/concepts that are highly original
I also felt that Issei Won the first round! And that's coming from someone who really likes Thesis style and dancing. But it was just Thesis time to shine. He was dancing. Thesis won by really dancing.
Jacob Keith i gave props to thesis as well so why can't Issei ? are you the guy that got knock out by Issei in prelim at silver back and freestylesession ?
hey please help me out, would mean a lot! Does anybody know what i can buy as a portable Dancefloor? I dont have a car so somethings like a rollable mat maybe? just where can i buy that? I REALLY want to just be able to cypher with friends outside, live HIP HOP u know :) Thanks
Rully Rully nah issei definitely had that round and nobody is sucking his dick some people just like his style better and most can agree that he had that round, second round Thesis and third round was Issei. I just like his style better as well.
Classic Distinction of the different styles of judging: Judging round by round I'd give the first 2 rounds to Thesis just by a little, but that last set he had was complete trash. You could tell he was dead tired and threw a crap crashy set. Issei was pretty consistent, and although he was beat by Thesis round by round in the first 2 rounds, it wasn't by much. But Issei wrecked the last round. So overall on average, Issei had Thesis beat. Round by Round = Thesis Overall Battle = Issei
Issei by round by round as well. First round was def issei. Nice combination of power and musicality with some creativity. If thesis beats it with his first set i can only tell that judges put value in originality but not on other aspect..
Boy on Water, I know what you're trying to say, but realistically Thesis didn't need to even try in the 3rd round. I'm sure if it was still in contention he would have thrown down a much stronger set. In fact, the 3rd round shouldn't even have happened - what was the point? And I don't feel that overall judging is better than round-by-round; round-by-round is much fairer and easier to judge. Otherwise often judges are swayed by the last round, which would be freshest in their memory.
Mmm It still is overall point judging, not round by round because they still allow a 3rd round even though thesis won 2 rounds. The judges thought he won the 2nd round convincingly, and I agree....
slug interesting suggestion, but I don't think they were adding up the individual votes of the judges. If they were, after the first 2 rounds Thesis was up 8-2 in votes, so Issei couldn't have even tied, so once again the battle was technically already over. Plus if votes were governing, they would have displayed them.
all judges who have no power always look down on bboys who do power, it is insanely difficult to flow like issei with power and kill beat like that with no mess!
I am not saying he did only power, he did great toprock and some footwork, freezes too. I am just saying that whenever someone does more power it looks as if for these old bboys it's an alien skill they have never achieved and thus doesn't understand what skill some of the combos take.
Lissove Lissove I'm a big issei fan and he is insane with his speed, power, and hitting the beat, but his originality, flow, toprocks, get downs, transitions, and pure musicality aren't on thesis' level. Issei dances to the beat, thesis dances to the music. He lost because he's not as complete of a bboy, not because the judges can't appreciate his skills.
Thought Thesis deserved the first 2 rounds, and so the battle. But just as the 3-2 of the judges showed, I agree the first round was very close. I almost feel like Issei lost the battle due to a strategic error - his first set up until the dope beat-hitting end sequence was well executed and difficult but was an almost too conventional powermove sequence. Had he dropped his last set first, or even one of his more interesting sets from earlier in the competition, he may have won that round and then possibly the battle. But all in all a great battle between I believe deservedly the 2 best bboys in the world at the moment.
good battle, thesis has been putting in his dues for so long now. Glad to see him win, issei had just repeated some of his moves and was visually slowing down a little
Good battle. I feel the result was fair. Thesis just seemed more hungry and in the end brought more heat. I would have given the first set to Issei and the second and third to Thesis, but in the end I think the result was a fair one. I think it could always go either way between these two. Thesis has always been a wildcard...one of the best bboys never to have won Red Bull BCONE...maybe that will change this year. On the other hand, Issei is at the top at the moment. He has his power down to basics and can kill the beat with it.
They both crazy high level Bboys. I love both. And if i was a judge my analyst: 1st Round- too close but Thesis was more skill, original style, foundation.Issei killed on the beat with dynamic style. I vote for Thesis. 2nd Round- Issei did a same moves, repeated a little bit.Thesis is rocking on the beat with original style and more moves. I vote for Thesis for sure. 3rd Round-Both was short round but Issei was more fast and clean.Thesis slow and slip a little bit.The excecusion. I vote for Issei.
Thesis won fair and square. It's a game of matchups. When they both reach the finals and face each other, Issei looks like he repeats from previous rounds, which isn't a bad thing cuz everyone does, but if your round typically starts with power then ends with footwork freeze, it becomes predictable. Thesis looks so much more original and adaptive to each round. Also look at the musicality in the top rocks and get downs, which are all part of the dance. In those aspects thesis clearly took it..
I also saw that in Theses he didn't repeat moves he always looks fresh each round but first round should be Issei. Anyway CLOSE DANCE BATTLE. But I like Issei to win!
Collins Ongaya He doesn't deserve to win like you said his moves are predictable. Its bias the judges. Issei should have won a lot of tournaments before he became a BC One Champion.
Sports Video Games ... What i mean is... The fact that you (people in general) have probably scene about 20 plus videos of Thesis in battles.... So you would know almost every routine before he starts.. Witch to you would make him predictable....
I'm not sure how anyone can watch this and say Issei won. It's not like it was a sweep, it was a great match-up, but he simply didn't win. Details further down but in summary his rounds began to feel too similar, there was virtually no toprock in the 2nd round, and it became harder to really feel what he was trying to do with the music. The problem I see is Issei's rounds felt too similar compared to Thesis. I can think back on this battle and remember Thesis' individual sets pretty well, and each round I watch feels like he's saying something different. I have more difficulty with that when watching Issei. One of the biggest issues for me was his 2nd round which literally had no toprock, not even a little bit and I couldn't even get what he was trying to do with the music. He spent a good portion of that 2nd round just doing the "I'm about to do power" toprock for what seemed like forever. Also, once he went down it was all moves, albeit amazing ones, but still just moves with no connection to what the DJ was throwing out.
While people are in the comment section arguing and fighting over who won, Issei and Thesis were out there having fun, respecting each other, and giving each other props for their battle moves. Hip hop is about respect, and freedom of expression. Everything else is just bs.
this battle obviously taken by thesis by 2-1 who said issei win , u must be new bboy issei got toprock , musicality , power , confident but thesis got toprock , musicality , power , confident , tricks, fresh , art , creativity #thesis is back!
1. learn english and proper grammar boi 2. clearly you don't know shit about bboying or you're a very delusional individual... dropin' some acid, eh? 3. in these 3 rounds, in form of power, thesis has done few flares, mills and some coindrops( obvious that issei is more diverse) 4. they both have tricks.. enough said-(Issei's fake flip) 5. Being "fresh" here is a subjective matter 6. Bboying IS art you moron, they are both dancing! 7. They are both creative, although i must say, felt like Issei was a bit one-dimensional while Thesis moved in all directions(great use of space) That is all :)
im asian , my english prob that is normal . this is not english class btw :). are you crying bro? issei just lose.. u think judges is newbie as u? u can continue cry , issei still lose. thesisisback
4.fake flip is tricks? :) learn what is psycho skill and what is trick skill.. 5.being fresh is subjective?? so continue do ur same skill for 10 years ok, then see what people perspective on u 6. bboying is art? yes it is.. but let me ask u .. if i only do sixstep and flare in battling, am i call "art" in bboy scene ?? i didnt say issei not good. he was superb too . but in this battle issei move can be predicted. and people looking and waiting what will thesis do. unpredicted and off course thesis own it my opinion same as judges , 1st 2round owned by thesis. ignore me?.. then u should ignore bboy storm and other judges too :).. u should be the real judges for this battle maybe :)
Such a thesis fanboy thing to say... Dont get me wrong Thesis is dope but hes NOT top 16 bboy of the world every year... Certain years he belongs up there, hit and miss
It's very close man! It's not strange that which of them won the final.Respect judges and bboys The strangest thing was spectator were so quiet!! And even threw the food to the stage in semi final
VERY CLOSE BATTLE. Issei came with energy, powermoves and beat killings. Thesis came with flavor, energy and beat killings as well. Flavor gave him a slight advantage on Issei. Thesis used to be my favorite bboy but his attitude changed a lot. Big respect for both of them, ISSEI SO RESPECTFUL AND HUMBLE THOUGH.
another politic bullshit from the judges, this reminds me to the red bull bc one 2014, blond "losing" againtes menno, please come on judges stop bullshit!, issei wins by far, this is sad.
Close battle but Thesis nailed it. Thesis just has so much more intricacies and depth to his dance compared to Issei who just has "moves" in comparison. Regardless was a good battle. Pce
I'm talking about the event as a whole. It's hard to get excited when it's the same bboys, throwing the same sets, for mostly the same judges. Wash, rinse, repeat.
+Calvin Walker ahh i see i should read more carefully, i too thought didnt thesis just dance to this at silverback against niek? dont you get tired if doing the same thing at some point? loll
damn.. issei musicality in every battle.... 9/11
8/8 m8
:))lmaooooo
dj music can't melt issei musicality 9/11
Ayyy Lmaoo LOL.
Issei's first round was dope.
Issei is honestly on another level. He keeps making it to the finals of all these hard competitions. He was sick this week and yet he still dominated.
yes, issei always enter the final. He is beyond monster
1:30 with a set like that, Issei can make me "check it" for him anytime
Phil too bad that was a repeat move, that's why he lost the round
yeah that last freeze he used against victor earlier
that sounds so gay
sus!
kingandizzle89 yup, we can all tell issei is better. He just repeats a lot of moves, though you can see that he has a lot of new sets it's not enough. Thesis are the best!!! i follow him and the evolutios of this bboy is awesome!!!
For me... the best bboy ever!
i find many Thesis fanboy here
I like how Issei stills shows props to his opponents while he's battling them. Crazy battle!
I like how issei lost

this is show
how issei dont get the first round??? wtf
Thesis his every beat
I might be 7 years late, but even jon jones wasnt beating that first round.
Dyzee where are you?? We definitely Need Your analysis for this battle :D !!!
No man was cleary won form Thesis , Bboy is not all about power moves.
Clearly Issei won, more musicality, not just power moves (more difficult moves)
@@BlaneNostalgia Que batalla estás viendo?, sus movimientos son muy repetitivos frente a la originalidad de Thesis.
Don't worry, my analysis will be soon up and it is the most objective and transparent analysis known to the Bboy World. Blessings

Wrong

yes
and i can see how soso lose, but kid columbia win not once?...
i see man, the judges already determine the winner before match starts
YEAH RIGHT! Judges like these lowers down the credibility of judges and the dance break dance.

Collins Ongaya
He doesn't deserve to win like you said his moves are predictable.
Its bias the judges. Issei should have won a lot of tournaments before he became a BC One Champion.
+Sports Video Games. The only thing that makes his moves predictable is you tube son....
karina lopez
What do you mean girl?
Sports Video Games ... What i mean is... The fact that you (people in general) have probably scene about 20 plus videos of Thesis in battles.... So you would know almost every routine before he starts.. Witch to you would make him predictable....
Alguém do Brasil conseguindo acessar o vídeo?
Look at them both! They're just having fun with each other. So much respect. 🙏🔥🔥
beat ?
First song?
King P Pete - The Zip
Thanks mate !
Anyone know the first beat? It’s freakin sick!!!
DJ King PPete - The Zip
Who’s the Dj?
I would've gone Issei. Whatever. Thesis' fluidity probably swayed one judge but this is why I don't like round by round sometimes.
third song ?
Pharoahe Monch - Welcome To The Terrordome
Both round ones were crazy!!
While people are in the comment section arguing and fighting over who won, Issei and Thesis were out there having fun, respecting each other, and giving each other props for their battle moves.
Hip hop is about respect, and freedom of expression. Everything else is just bs.
Name of the first song pls
Dj Lean Rock - The Zip King P Pete (Edit)
Jakub Trlida thank you brother
i was looking for the song name as well! ;) big up!
1st and 3rd round Issei wins hands down for me, he is the champ. Thesis win last time they faced in finals was deserved tho.
1st round was for Issei ! Thesis was right on the beat on his toprock but he was not enough dynamic in my opinion on the ground whereas Issei was
this battle obviously taken by thesis by 2-1
who said issei win , u must be new bboy
issei got toprock , musicality , power , confident
but thesis got toprock , musicality , power , confident , tricks, fresh , art , creativity
#thesis is back!
1. learn english and proper grammar boi
2. clearly you don't know shit about bboying or you're a very delusional individual... dropin' some acid, eh?
3. in these 3 rounds, in form of power, thesis has done few flares, mills and some coindrops( obvious that issei is more diverse)
4. they both have tricks.. enough said-(Issei's fake flip)
5. Being "fresh" here is a subjective matter
6. Bboying IS art you moron, they are both dancing!
7. They are both creative, although i must say, felt like Issei was a bit one-dimensional while Thesis moved in all directions(great use of space)
That is all :)
im asian , my english prob that is normal . this is not english class btw :).
are you crying bro? issei just lose.. u think judges is newbie as u? u can continue cry , issei still lose. thesisisback
you are missing the point.. nevermind...
+Luka Petrović Just ignore him lol
4.fake flip is tricks? :) learn what is psycho skill and what is trick skill..
5.being fresh is subjective?? so continue do ur same skill for 10 years ok, then see what people perspective on u
6. bboying is art? yes it is.. but let me ask u .. if i only do sixstep and flare in battling, am i call "art" in bboy scene ??
i didnt say issei not good. he was superb too . but in this battle issei move can be predicted. and people looking and waiting what will thesis do. unpredicted and off course thesis own it
my opinion same as judges , 1st 2round owned by thesis. ignore me?.. then u should ignore bboy storm and other judges too :).. u should be the real judges for this battle maybe :)
So many issei fanboys..., Thesis clearly win this battle , i cant understand why thesis isnt allowed in bc ones
are you ok bro?? Since 2014 isntt on bc ones
Such a thesis fanboy thing to say... Dont get me wrong Thesis is dope but hes NOT top 16 bboy of the world every year... Certain years he belongs up there, hit and miss
Because he can't passed his regional RBBC
1st beat?
Dj Lean Rock - The Zip King P Pete (Edit)
It's very close man! It's not strange that which of them won the final.Respect judges and bboys
The strangest thing was spectator were so quiet!! And even threw the food to the stage in semi final
Bring back the old school tracks. I'm sure the. Boys are tired of the same music at every battle
Thesis ( n he is one of my fav bboy, he is express him self Amazing whit breaking ) win for judges but Issei win for everyone peace
another politic bullshit from the judges, this reminds me to the red bull bc one 2014, blond "losing" againtes menno, please come on judges stop bullshit!, issei wins by far, this is sad.
Close battle but Thesis nailed it. Thesis just has so much more intricacies and depth to his dance compared to Issei who just has "moves" in comparison. Regardless was a good battle. Pce
UmYeah hesy thread based lol.
This year's Undisputed had no soul. Just feels like it was missing something essential that I can't quite put my finger on.
did we just watch the same battle? thesis danced from the soul and had fun, stfu loll
I'm talking about the event as a whole. It's hard to get excited when it's the same bboys, throwing the same sets, for mostly the same judges. Wash, rinse, repeat.
+Calvin Walker ahh i see i should read more carefully, i too thought didnt thesis just dance to this at silverback against niek? dont you get tired if doing the same thing at some point? loll
no crowd reaction. They muted it.
2014's undisputed was the best
