I swam with dolphins in the open ocean. It was a tour, so they knew we would be coming around, and they chose to be there. We didn’t feed them, just played. They imitated us, and did silly things like swim back to back. Made eye contact, and just seemed to have a sense of humor and curiosity. Definitely a great experience!

Try putting yourself in their situation: You only get to interact with land apes once in a while when they come to visit a specific location. You get to play with them, do tricks with them, and just chill in a peaceful and safe way. You'd definitely show up there on time with your buddies to do it.

My son works with these dolphins. Just an FYI, these mammals are rescued. Some can return to the wild, some cannot. It’s a fact, wild animals in captivity live longer as they have access to drs and lifesaving medicines. I hope that helps ease your pain knowing this.

You realize most animals in zoos were rescues and can’t be released into the wild for their safety right? People need to get off social media and learn.

My son that was 12 at the time and I went to marine world on the gulf coast. They were having a parrot show and everybody was watching that. My son and I walked over and started playing with the dolphins, there was no one else around. They had a ball there for them and we kept throwing it to them and the Dolphins would bring it back and throw it to us. You can tell that they are very intelligent, and they love to play and interact with humans. Him and I had a wonderful time playing with those dolphins. That’s an experience we will never forget.

@@davidharrow9025probably California somewhere. I went to San Diego on vacation and got to see some wild dolphins, wild leopard sharks, and wild sea lions.
You realize most animals in zoos were rescues and can’t be released into the wild for their safety right? People need to get off social media and learn.

Yes, I agree with you. But know…..most of them that’s there …..are rescued animals.
Despite their captivity they are still playful animals, wholesome and heartbreaking at the same time
Most of them are well taken care of and if they are freed, they just come back. They make real connections with their handlers. Sadly, not all of them are well taken care of though.

Indeed. I go to SeaWorld Otlando often. And it's depressing how small the tanks are. Always thought they should just make the parks lakes salt water and let them live in the lakes

They are so beautiful. That was a young one who just wanted to play with her. How sweet was that.
These animals should not be taken from wild and trapped in tiny tanks, subjected to endless noise and unnatural cruelty. They are incredibly lonely, bored, and sickly. Many die during traumatic procedures and training. Artificial insemination, for example. For what? A fleeting moment of entertainment? Wish you would teach your child compassion instead of exploitation.

They are predators, very intelligent and don’t deserve to be captured because of some people like to see them this way. This is so wrong !

No. We don’t need brats banging on the glass disturbing & humiliating these wild animals in captivity, encouraged by clueless parents. There’s no bond. If given the chance the dolphin would kill the child, for amusement. I suggest you go watch the film documentary ‘Blackfish’

This is done with whales, dolphins, etc. I know this from friends that were employees at the Orlando Sea World. They sell them off to another theme park. It's all about the money & not the well-being of the sea life.
People need to be nice and humble like those dolphins. Animals are very humble compared to the majority of society!

None of the animals interacted with me as far as I remember so seeing videos like this is cute. Personally I haven't ever seen a dolphin in real life as I stay in Scotland❤

My son that was 12 at the time and I went to marine world on the gulf coast. They were having a parrot show and everybody was watching that. My son and I walked over and started playing with the dolphins, there was no one else around. They had a ball there for them and we kept throwing it to them and the Dolphins would bring it back and throw it to us. You can tell that they are very intelligent, and they love to play and interact with humans. Him and I had a wonderful time playing with those dolphins. That’s an experience we will never forget.
