      I think I just figured that out. I started taking multivitamins with b6 and b12. The last 2 nights I haven't been able to sleep at all. Going to stop taking them and see if I can finally sleep at night again.

      @@Rachie-nj3oi I have tried and tested individual supplements, however, solgar chelated magnesium helps me to fall asleep, but I don’t take it every night. I think sometimes body needs a break from everything. You can try that .

    Hello doctor.. What do you recommend to treat essential tremor disease? It is not Parkinson’s disease.. When I stand on a stage or face people, my body trembles, my heart rate increases, I sweat a lot, and I have difficulty speaking.. Can you help?

    I take B12 sublingual tablets. Where do you get 2.4 mcg's from? Most of what I see on the market has thousands of micrograms per tablet. I take it just once per week because of this.
    I do wake up at 3:40 4 am almost every morning regardless of how tired I am when I go to bed. So it could be too much B12. Where do you get the smaller doses you are referring to?

    I enjoy your presentations HOWEVER there is verified research saying HIGHER amounts it can actually cause neuropathy symptoms.
    Tingling / pins and needles . Something that perhaps SHOULD be mentioned

    I think I need B supplements. Problem is I don't eat in the mornings. So if I take it mid day when I eat that might keep me awake. 😮

      It's a good idea to visit your doctor first and get your levels tested! Your doctor will also be able to help you figure out the best time of day to take any vitamins or supplements for both you and your sleep schedule.

    My husband and I took B12 for a long time… got tested and we both had real high levels of B12. We both had to stop for several months, and now we just take it once a week.

      It's always important to talk with your doctor first before starting ANY vitamin or supplement.

      It's a myth that people think that both vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 are water soluble vitamins and our body will excrete the excess. Well, WRONG! They accumulate in our body. Excess accumulation of vitamin B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy (such as numbness in the toes, tongue, and lips.)

    • @brandonyoung4910
      @brandonyoung4910 7 місяців тому +3

      B12 is water soluble so it should come down pretty quick. Likely a few days

    • @shanobuo
      @shanobuo 7 місяців тому

      @@brandonyoung4910 Well, not really!
      • Storage in the Liver: Unlike most water-soluble vitamins, the body can store significant amounts of vitamin B12, primarily in the liver. These stores can last for 3-5 years, even if you stop consuming the vitamin. This provides a buffer against deficiency in case of dietary changes or temporary absorption issues.
      • Limited Excretion: Although excess B12 is eventually excreted through urine, the process is inefficient. This means even large doses taken orally (supplements) are largely tolerated with no harmful effects.

      It's odd. I found that my two comments got deleted for no apparently reason. I was just trying to point out that both vitamin b6 and b12 can accumulate in our body even they are water-soluble. Probably the comment is not welcome here.

    I take a multivitamin w/ 50mcg b-12 and usually drink an energy drink a day w/ 6mcg b-12. Total of 1,083% daily recommended. Got here because I’m thinking my insomnia and lack of sleep quality is because I’m taking too much b-12. Been trying to figure it out. I feel like on the days I don’t take my multivitamin I sleep much better at night. High b-12 cause insomnia and lack of sleep quality??

    This is interesting 🧐 I haven’t come across the issue of high levels of B12 and sleep disruption before. Thank you.
