As someone who mostly plays Warlock and has been rocking the Getaway artist build, im glad heartshadow won. I like builds that showcases an unexpected and overlooked setup. So builds that are not only potent but also unique, that arent seen often, should win.
Of course somebody was gonna copy Esoterickk's solo clear warlock build for build battles. .

The Warlock Getaway/1 man fireteam build was spoken about in the Bungie developer insight weeks before final shape was released. All Warlocks use the build.

It’s like sunbracers last season. The reason why everybody is using it is because it is much better than everything else by comparison, and very fun.
Now there’s also lots of builds that aren’t quite as potent but are creative and still very fun - so I agree with you, looking forward to future videos

Cross played that hunter build to a crayon muncher's full potential. Build has so much more to offer; at times, the prismatic meter was filling up so rapidly. Could have popped prismatic 3-4 times more with longer duration.
The biggest thing with the warlock build is that it's such a standard build maybe outside weapons (sort of) but everything else was what you'd expect because duh prismatic warlock slaps hard af, while the heartshadow build is super unique and still slaps hard. Makes sense to me why the hunter build won this day and I can't wait to see what other peeps have cooked up.

I will say that Spirit of Inmost Light with Spirit of Cyrtarachne is quite strong. I'm glad the hunter won. The warlock build's fairly generic and has been all over the place since week 1 of the final shape. The hunter build managed to make HEARTSHADOW super effective and successfully stacked a bunch of different buffs and abilities to both tank (all the DR) and misdirect enemies (Threaded Specter and Invisibility), which helps the team, too. The warlock build was fairly strong, and the lockdown is always nice, but the hunter's out of the box thinking was awesome to see.
Build Battle videos are my favourite Destiny content on UA-cam.
The fact Bungie had to come out and say Titans are underpowered and underperforming is insane considering the other classes. Even the promises of diamond lance and consecration breaking stasis crystals wasn't delivered due to bugs.
They really buried Titans in the dirt. The problem is that if they buff them again, they could very well just nerf them even harder in the future.
In my opinion, the only way Titans won't get nerfed more is if they move away from the "just melee" play style. If they were oriented around more support like banner of war, they'd have an actual class identify that could be built upon.

I think my only bad review on it is, its pretty much the only build 90% of prismatic warlocks use and its not even an original build, its literally esoterickks build

FYI Facet of Dominance goes pretty hard with the Getaway build. While you're consuming your nade a lot, sometimes you just want some extra damage to put down, and storm nades with jolt are handy. The best part though is that you can apply weaken with your prismatic nades for some truly explosive damage cycles. Just about everyone has messed with this one by now, but there are definitely some optimizations you can make to get things really fired up depending on where you run it. Another thing you can do is run Buried Bloodline in order to drop Feed the Void for Hellion, providing you with 3 turrets AND a devour source. Great double special build paired with the new stasis area denial gl. Being amplified all the time is amazing as well, it's a hard one to put down.

IDK if the Warlock build really should have been entered considering it's a total copy/paste of one of the most common warlock loadouts out there. Didn't Cross even showcase that exact setup before?
I use Facet of Dominance for this build. Arc grenade will handle overloads, Transcendent grenade will weaken. This can allow you to dip into Expanding Abyss with Nova Bomb, or to swap out bleak watcher for Helion when unstops aren’t present.

People are WAYYYYY overexaggerating Titan un-viability.
Titans keep up with the other classes on pretty much everything except Boss DPS cycles, and that’s not an issue outside of Master/Contest raids, and their tradeoff is the best ad-clear supers.

This right here is the answer. Terrible weapon choices in the video. Ager's and Zaouli's could work but outbreak was a bad call
I've been crutching Ager's as well. Destroys ad's and also has long range and good ammo econ
@@Dble0soljaoutbreak is the single best weapon possible for the Glassway GM. Literally every single person in LFG is running it. I think he just ran a hand cannon as well so they had consistent anti-overload, though with all the slowing turrets it probably wasn't needed.
Turret tip: Look down at your feet to place the turret at that exact spot. Good to maximize positioning and firing lanes
Been running the warlock build but use different fragments. I like to run facet of solitude, dominance, courage, awakening and balance. With the ability spam and damage from outbreak, you can get transcendence in 10-20 sec easy

i got myself heartshadow and its catalyst before tfs and theory crafted a build out of the release notes.
and i have not change away from it
ive been using heartshadow for ages, pair it with swifts to make heavy ammo on finishers for you and your allies and you become a heavy ammo generating champion deleting machine, bonus points for using void instead of prismatic for easier access to invis to close the gaps to champions.
Personally, I’m partial to my Orb Weaver build that uses the Solar, Arc, and Stasis Turrets while using No Time to Explain. I haven’t used it in high level content (besides GM Excision) but I do know that it’s fun af. Most certainly not unique but I’ve enjoyed it immensely!
Reason commemoration is the heavy is due to its origin trait that gives you ability energy for hitting targets.
I use this but with the solar buddy also and osteo strega for poison spread and u get threadlings and tangles
The only thing killing the warlock build is double primary. Use deliverance (feels amazing now) or riptide with chill clip and then nullify as your pulse or you can run graviton, collective obligation, red death, bxr, basically any pulse that isn't a 540 and you're good. I was running anarchy just because I wanted DOT damage but dragons breath will also be fine. I just am terrible at accidentally running into my rocket when I use it.
Cytracne and frost armor with inmost is insane.
First build is how i got my gm completion yesterday. Honestly made the attempt almost easy. Its a good gm to freeze shizz
Huh i have that hunter class item roll, and never considered that sort of dr stacking build and using heartshadow... im have to try it out for sure now.
But yeah both builds cook and compete well, i wouldnt have been abke to choose. I myself for the first build use no time for an extra buddy and to does some solid damage... though maybe not as much as outbreak can do when amped up. I also have a dragoncult sickle with demo hatchling thats pretty dupe, but i want one with whirlwind blade for more boss case scenarios

Hellion instead of devour and using buried bloodline for devour is filthy
@cameronmccauley4484 if you don't have bloodline, or want to use a different exotic you can use the fragment that grants a buff on orb pickup that aligns with your super element. Using solar gives you restoration on orb pickup. Just keep killing and pickup orbs. Probably not quite as reliable but it's a good alternative.

Im literally using a very similar but a little more potent version of that 1st build. i can do an entire GM Nightfall without firing a shot if i want.
Tbh this competition doesn’t really work cause anybody could just take a UA-camrs build like esoteriks getaway artist one.
Correct me if I am wrong but why does the first build have time dilation and elemental charge but no use for armor charges?
I was so sad, because getaway artist was the first thing I thought of trying after the aspect reveals (which i put on immediately in the legendary campaign after getting storm nade). Then not even a week after TFS drops it becomes meta.

I think this honestly just reveals how much people value creativity. Slapping a completely unoriginal but powerful build into a competition like this should always lose to someone with a powerful AND creative build, you shouldn’t be able to copy someone else’s homework and get full credit.

This is the first build i did when prismatic dropped 💪🏾
No need for handcannon to stunt overloads, you have stasis turrets on demand + prisma nade. Better use desorienting grenade launcher for wyverns ;-) You can't instant stunt overloads with artefact mod, but you can do it with intrinsic exotic like thunderlord or monarch. In this case, you can run them with kinetic tremor blast furnance for barrier. Also, on prismatic, especially for hard content like GM's, in my opinion, you should ALWAYS run FACET OF SOLITUDE fragment: landing precision hits will SEVER the target with the result of doing 40% LESS DAMAGE TO YOU!

I like no time to explain for the first build. with the freeze as long as youre hitting targets you get your getting ammo fully refunded and your little buddy is fun to have

I feel like No Time would be a good exotic for the warlock. Pulse rifle PvE buff + synergy on Stacy freezing things.
That's what I've been using for the legendary campaign. I was late to the final shape party but my god this build is so good and satisfying.

The entire Hunter build was simply "use heart-shadow." Slap that on the warlock and you'd have similar results.

I mean the hunter build is creative, breaking the mold. The warlock build is just generic, like who doesnt think to use getaway artist when its just so painfully obvious with bleak watcher. Overall I think the warlock build takes the cake even though it's super common, it's common for a reason.

Honestly, the Getaway artist build is overplayed. Probably 3rd best build this season behind 1) Speaker healing build and 2) Thorn with necrotic + anything class item. Those 2 spank Getaway

It would be better if you got three of the same people rocking the same build, that way there couldn't be just someone in the fireteam going with a meta build just carrying everything

Getaway Prismatic Warlock is S+++ Tier currently.
Couple of things you should know for the getaway warlock build to make it much better.
First, Facet of Hope doesn't work.
Well...to be more accurate it doesn't work if the first buff you acquire is "amplified." That makes it difficult to get much use out of with this build. If you activate devour and then get amplified, it will work. The benefit is also barely noticeable. At tier 7 recov it decreases the cool down by about 5 seconds. It's like a worse version of Eye of Another World. You're getting your rift energy back so quickly thanks mostly to Counter Energy. If you don't want to deal with buff juggling to make a single fragment work for 5 second quicker cooldown, consider replacing it with something like Facet of Solitude. Solitude would pair really well with Outbreak and drastically increase survivability. (Dominance is an option too for the weaken debuff while you are transcendent.)
quick edit for the sake of clarity: I said it decreases cooldown by 5 seconds, but that is only if you activate devour once and let it dissipate. The benefit is greater if you manage to keep devour up. Sorry for not being clearer about that.
Second, in my testing Facet of Ruin is very inconsistent.
The range of shatter and ignition is admittedly hard to test, but I tested my shatter damage several times in a row, and the damage was only amplified once. I can't figure out the conditions to consistently get that fragment to do what it says. Waiting 30 seconds for an internal cooldown didn't seem to work. Whether or not it was the first shatter didn't seem to matter. I tested with the fragment, and without it. Most of the time; no difference. I recommend replacing it with Facet of Courage. Facet of Courage is much more consistent (in that it works exactly as advertised) and increases the damage of the Arc Buddy by about 10% if the thing the Arc Buddy Targets is slowed by the Stasis Turret. (pretty sure it also increases the damage of the super)
It says a lot about how good the getaway artist build is considering that two of the fragments in this build are currently kinda garbage.
You werent using Heartshadow right. You should set up with Stylish Executioner or the Heartshadow to give yourself invisibility. This grants Shot in The Dark which gives your next heavy attack with heartshadow more damage and a weaken.
Heavy or Light.
Both apply weaken

I feel like there are better prismatic warlock builds than this one for end game. The idea behind this one is good but I feel like it struggles to keep devour up and going like it needs too for end game content
Should of done Warlock vs Warlock build on first round and Hunter vs Hunter, cuz that is a Good Hunter build just Warlock is Brocken sometimes you can’t just not even shoot
