    Buy a 2-3 inch custom measured foam and put it underneath the mattress. Make sure it's less than the width of your mattress. That way, the sides of your mattress compresses down due to gravity while the foam pushes your mattress up from the middle top to bottom. This is what I do when I have a sagging mattress. I also advise getting a DIY mattress with a zippered mattress cover. You can replace any worn out foam instead of buying a new mattress every 5 or so years. You will save lots of money.

    Does 50kg/m3 memory foam have better anti sagging quality?

      Hi Ranged, I'm afraid not, all systentheic memory foam is prone to settling compared to natural latex. Latex on the other hand is far better at keeping its shape over time but is at a higher price point because of this and the raw material cost. The density of foam just relates in part to the firmness and not the durability. Sleep well. John & Ryan

    If toppers are so necessary to prevent sagging, why isn’t a topper constructed onto a mattress in the first place?

    • @snappysharonxx

      maybe so that they can change them out instead of it affecting the whole mattress?

      Toppers need to be removable. If you get my idea, every topper, every mattress with memory foam, foam, latex etc will sag at a point. So you have a limited time to use your mattress. If the topper would be constructed onto a mattress then when will sag you will need to put your mattress to bin. The idea of separate topper is that you can replace your topper each 2-3 years, if properly cared for.

    The issue has nothing to do with the mattress being one sided, or even made with memory foam.
    Both fluid & humidity will ruin the foam, use a mattress protector!!

      Doesnt matter. You buy a 3000 dollars mattress, paired with and expensive mattress protector, as long as it's hybrid or memory form mattress, it will sag in a year

    Would be better to buy individual cheap coconut husk mattress + memory foam layer & stack it up. You get comfortable sleep with the memory foam with no sagging for years as the coconut husk layer is super hard & doesnt compress much.

    • @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe
      @JohnRyanbyDesignLtdWythenshawe  2 роки тому +1

      Sorry we don’t agree Zizi. Memory foam
      Is a notorious material for compressing beyond the point of no return in a matter of years compared to natural fibres like coir. You’d be better off switching it out for latex with coir if you want to create that layered mattress. Sleep well. John & Ryan.

  • @kaemack44

    the problem with adding a topper after the mattress is already sagging is that the topper will sag in the same spot. useless video!

    • @jtdog05
      @jtdog05 7 років тому +15

      The video is not how to fix a sagging mattress. It is how to prevent one. The topper will take most of the wear, thereby keeping the mattress's foam from wearing and sagging.

      You should get a topper from the beginning and mattress should have a low profile built in topper. That way the mattress topper will not sag that much with time, and you can replace your 3-4 inch topper each 2-3 years with easy, without significant sag in the mattress itself.

      Basically you should get a firmer mattress like 8-10 inch with a low profile topper (memopry foam or gel, and get a 4 inch topper. This way you can replace only the topper each 2-3 years lets say. So mattress will still be ok for 3-4 topper changes.
