I noticed you did not use teflon sheet over your design while ironing. Is this something you always do when using HTV or just with wood? I was under the impression that I always needed to use teflon between my iron and htv design. Thanks for the informational video! I can't wait to try htv on wood!
Hi Brittany! The included clear carrier sheet is all you really need to protect your HTV. I usually only use a teflon sheet if I'm trying to protect the material I'm pressing on to, or if I'm layering and so some of the HTV is exposed. Hope this helps!
Hi there Could you please help - I recently bought and received the Firefly Craft Glitter Aqua and I use a Cricut Maker. I followed the instructions on the box and selected "Light cardstock" but the pressure was too much and ripped through the vinyl. I then selected "less" pressure and it didn't cut through the vinyl cleanly. Could you please advise which setting I should be using? I have wasted a good amount of vinyl and don't want to waste the whole roll on just trial. (I would like to try the best setting before I complete my Amazon review on the product. Thank you.) Thank you very much!! Your quick video was exactly what I was looking for!!
Hi John. Glad I was able to help. :)
This is a great video, thanks so much
What temperature should the heat press be set to?
We need something like this but more heavy duty since it doesn’t seem to handle thick enough woods.
Thank you for the video. Curious what setting you used on your regular iron for this project?
Hi Shauna. I usually use a cotton setting when I'm working with HTV and a regular iron.

Can you heat press on wood that has been stained?
Hey Troi! Yes, I believe you can still do that - but also depends on what stain you had on the wood.
