I have two sisters that were acquainted with the Congdon’s. My sister Betty used to babysit Jennefer’s children and my sister Fay went to school with Marjorie, the alleged mastermind of the murder of Elizabeth. She noticed bazaar behavior with Marjorie long before the murder. Patty Duke starred in a movie filmed at Glensheen entitled “You’ll like my Mother”. It was a murder mystery and was filmed years before the actual murder.
My cousin, a well known Duluth figure skater and a member of the US National Ice Skating Team in the 1950's, dated one of the Congdon boys while in high school. Just up the hill from Glensheen off of 34th st. Received a skating scholarship to Colorado College in Colorado Springs. She was a petite blond bombshell with a personality to match.
Interviewer ... can you tell us where we are now? Um ... I guess the 12 foot table and 14 chairs offered no clues. Is it a bathroom? Come on ... I get that she is being shown this beautiful home but don't play stupid.
