- No, there's no déjà vu. I remade again Space Boy intro from First Stage. Everything in 3D (well maybe forget trees...). I hope this really looks nice and whoever will watch this animation will enjoy it same as previous one :)

The animation is really cool, but one thing to note is that Takumi does not use the handbrake for drifting but rather weight shifting and brake drifting. Still tho good job with the animation
Thanks! I know this fact. I haven't made him use handbrake anyway. Maybe there was a little drifting to show it but I animated the 86 to drift with weight shift.
Yeah I noticed the rear wheels locking up implying handbrake usage but yeah very smooth
@@speedhunter7156 ah! This... Locking wheels are just for showoff. Probably while weight initiated drift they might slow down spinning but not lock. But It was just for making scene that used smoke.

I don't remember who said it (probably George Lucas or James Cameron) but someone said that CGI technology will be so advanced in next decades that everyone will have chance to make computer generated movie at home. This sums what you said nicely :)

Dude I literally have an audio that sounds like that I was about to make a similar video, Man you are talented You animated this whole thing up (and I might say it beats the original, at least in sound design don't get me wrong the animation is amazing but there is something about the original camera angles that make me feel nostalgic) hey 1:00 to 1:05 reminded me to the last race in battle stage 1 (vs Ryosuke) and the BREAK IN2 THE NITE Opening,
I didn't pulled audio straight from anime. Every single effect had to be added manually and tweaked. uh, I didn't want camera angles to be same as in original. I wanted to be a bit original :)

@@hasko5653 yeah, I wish to animate like this one day. Im gonna try to do this at least one hour per day. Is that alright for just a hobby (mostly)? Im also 13 btw lol.
@@thegingercarguy Definitely yes. You should start with Blender but don't expect immediately big results. My first renders, animations are terrible but this just takes time and practice. Try breaking throughout :)

Good job on the animation and the effort, but there are many flaws with this regarding how the car moves, how Takumi shifts the weight in order to cause a slide, etc. In order for it to be better you'd have to understand how drifting works
Yeah, you might be right. I will try harder when I will animate first encounter of Takumi and Keisuke.

I grabbed them from freesound.org, UA-cam and Initial D itself because I can extract from it clean dialogues and SFXs.

Sadly AC (or any game) x Inital D is oversaturated with content and doing yet another Kansei Dorifto in yet another game isn't that much original idea :'(
