Monopoly is the single most boring game to watch others play but I'm going to enjoy every second of watching Adam slowly going insane playing monopoly

The thing you always have to respect about Dom is that he never does less than invest 100% of himself into every game he plays
I don't think Dom has ever done anything investing less than 95% of himself into it
Absolutely do not respect it. I'm sorry to Dom, he is probably a wonderful guy in person, I don't say this to criticize him, but I literally can't stand him in this show (Most episodes he is in feel worse to me than if he simply hadn't been included). He is like a drama kid that is always on 100% and it's as annoying as that was back in high school.
I hate saying this stuff because I'm not about attacking people. I recognize it's an act for the camera, it's just one I hate. You know what type of entertainment requires people being on 100% all the time? Children's shows, because children have short attention spans and find "over the top" antics to be hilarious. If he was the presenter of a children's show it would be warranted.

@@Tinil0 honestly i really question what gives people the right to think they are entitled to “critiquing” random people who simply never asked. this was unnecessary. they are literally just playing bored games. this can EASILY come off as so hurtful to dom. especially if its not just an act as you assume, but his regular personality. which id like to note, i love. he’s hilarious.
Dom's wit as an elderly gentleman who can't adapt to the changing times: "No one speaks Latin anymore... all of my freemason friends are dead, I don't know who to turn to......who do they get to clean the chimneys now that the children aren't allowed to work?!.... where are the lions🦁?"

I was thinking specifically on a board game club though.
If Dom would have been attached to a heart rate monitor for this episode it might have been the best game ever.
Something very funny about Adam not owning literally any property in a game about owning property and also not coming last.
I loved how after laurie had his starting ventures all stolen from him, he just joined adam in spending the entire game just sewing chaos and not actually trying to build anything until his properties eventually came back out.
They should play Root once, just to see Tom in his natural habitat, give Blair a reason for her micevoices and Adam completely losing it (in all possible ways)!
I would love if they played root! It is easily one of my most treasured and favorite games.
Would be a great game to watch them play, so adorable in presentation..and oh goodness can it be ruthless....

Dom is a Batman villain and I love him for it
After seeing Dom massively unravel I feel like we need to see Dom vs Jon in either Tic-Tac-Toe or Chess so we can see who goes off the rails quickest
Love this game a lot. One rule clarification: Sully would not be able to just discard a roof. It has to be placed somewhere. Only the mayor and permits can be discarded instead of placed.
Thanks for mentioning this. It did not feel right that Sully could make a risk-free bid on it like that, even though Adam insisted he can and should.

Maybe they were playing under a slightly different version of the rules? It sounded to me that only the things that were not bid on could be discarded. Possibly they modified that rule at some point to limit it to only the mayor and permits. The only way to know for sure would be for them to either display the rulebook on-screen or tell us the version number of the rules, if one is even listed, so we can look it up ourselves.
@@MikeDCWeld You are going a long way to justify them missing a rule. It happens all the time on NRB, and it's not that big a deal.
@@MikeDCWeld What @snapwilldon316 Said. It also defies one of the ways to end the game. Namely someone could keep winning the roofs, with that ruling, and just never place any, meaning NONE of the roads are ever finished and everyone loses.
You really should do a The Thing replay with Dom. He was brilliant in this!

Red is for winners: 'Man United and the Soviet Union!' Definitely 2 groups that are known for being very successfull right now lmao
Next BOTC, give Dom the grandmother so he continues his character from late in this game and just rattles off things he doesn’t understand about “the youth” as if he is 1,000 years old

Well this is the first BGC that’s made me actually shout at the screen (“oh no Blair what are you DOING?” when she didn’t use her last roof to finish off the top row). To be fair, i don’t actually know if that was a mistake or not but i was definitely invested. 😄
That is easily why she lost.
It was likely a mistake although she was always going to lose if the bottom was finished. As the top and middle row cancled each other out meaning she was alway going to be scoring pretty low.
The second I saw this particular game, and dom, I knew someone was leaving with claw marks
I'm a half hour in and have no idea how this game works but every one seems to be having a nice time.
I feel like I understood it more once they got to the scoring part. I was confused for most of it!
i wonder if the rest of the NRB crew realize that if Adam fails to rhe point of having to play Monopoly,
he'll be making them play with him.
in other words, if Adam loses, everyone loses ...
Love that fact that "doing a John Gracey" is not only a good adjective, but was achieved by someone that's not him so quickly! Dom, our favorite and inevitable overlord, that's not a viable skill for world domination...

It's fun to see Dom get stuck in his own head. Always funny to see one players turn take longer than everyone elses combined. Not due to being absentminded, but by being soo invested. Thinking as hard about the game decision as they would about an important life decision. Which it of course is. (not sarcastic)
Coming back to this video after Communoply At hear Dom say “Red’s the color of winners. Look at all the winners…the Soviet Union…” had me cackling! This was a cannon event, part of his origin story.
Building a city without an evil mayor to run it? This is an outrage. I’m outraged. I demand Mayor Clean.
A bit of questionable advice there at 15:00. Rooftop tiles won at an auction must be placed and cannot be discarded.
Not my type of game but I love the whole crew would watch just about anything with them in it great job.
First game in a hot minute where I haven't been a huge fan of the game itself. Probably not a buy from me, but y'all goofs are as entertaining as ever so still time well spent.

I feel like y’all would enjoy playing love letter- it’s a card game about trying to win the favor of a princess by making sure she receives your love letter. You do that by either knocking the other suitors (players) out of the round or by making sure your love letter reaches her first at the end of the game (having the card closest to the princess). It’s a great opportunity to pretend to be medieval suitors and the extra content is loads of fun and chaos for larger groups.
Definitely a game NRB should consider playing again in the future.

Unfortunately blair was always doomed unless she some how got both the top 2 rows completed as the top row was worth 38 (34 when sully was considering capping it) and the middle row was worth 32. She really should have put the yellow ontop of her 6. Since the bottom row finishing was worse for her score than anything else.
Hey guys! If you haven't played or otherwise seen it or whatever, you guys should totally cover "DOOM: The board game", where one player plays as the invader controlling the demons and aiming to get a set amount of kills, while the rest play as marines with unique classes and weaponry, seeking to complete whatever objective they have set for them based on the mission(/map) they're playing on!

Every time I watch this I’m screaming at Laurie to put the three up for auction and not the roof, because if he does it’s more negative points for Blair. Then she has to put up the roof which Laurie would win the bid of!!! I love this episode such a fun game with a deceptive amount of strategy.

Laurie should have put the 3 up for auction to cost Blair even more points, especially since he clearly had enough money to get the roof when Blair put it up. That would have put her in the negative points from the buildings.
Iv been binge watching old BGC episodes recently, so my big question is when is the big 100k sub stream and is Blair contractually obligated to do the whole thing in a british accent?

You guys should play a game called Throw Throw Burrito. I’m some aspects of the game, you need to stand up, but it is probably fine for y’all. It is such a fun game.
Edit: you could decide to not stand up if you guys want. I personally think that it’s more fun to though.

Blair was the moral victor there. Adam sort of didn't really bother which is a shame but when you own no cards I guess it's how it goes.
Adam's path to victory was in trying to keep rows from getting completed. IMO, he should have tried to buy the permits in order to extend at least two rows into the park, if not all three (as opposed to only the one), and put blocks up for auction instead of roofs (as roofs completed buildings, which lead to completed rows). Yes, he was very chaotic in his play, encouraging dissension in the ranks, but allowing people to finish buildings and rows was his ultimate downfall.

Just to correct a point. In th first auction you sat that the floor block could be discarded. This is incorrect, floors and roofs CAN NOT be discarded. They must be placed.
The mayor, permits and cancel cube can be discarded however.
I have one question in regards to scoring.
if Dom puts a red 2 on a square, Sullivan puts a green 1 on top. Adam puts a 2 roof on it and Laurie has the green card. what do people score?
If the row gets finished, Laurie gets 5 points. If the row is not finished, Laurie loses 5 points. (His green card gives him control of any building in which the top block is green.)
Red's for winners. Well, most dead people I've seen have been red, they didn't look like winners if I'm honest ;)
