All 2015 Chevrolet Trax models are equipped with a 1.4 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy figures look great at 26 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The base LS model starts at $20,040 with the LTZ AWD model going for $26,530.
The Trax is not as elegant as its cousin the Buick Encore and it’s not as sporty as the Nissan Juke. The Trax is a middle of the road and best for in-town driving. The Chevy Trax is a solid subcompact crossover but with entries from Honda and Mazda on the way, it faces some tough competition.

Tiny cars like this actually do make a lot of sense when you drive almost exclusively in the city. I live in L.A. now and you wouldn't believe the traffic and just how TIGHT the parking can be, even in parking lots. I drive to a (slightly) farther away Whole Foods because the parking at the closest one is a NIGHTMARE. I wouldn't see much reason at all to buy this car if you live somewhere like where he's testing it. You'd get WAY better value from so many slightly larger compact SUV's (and especially used ones.)

I love what Chevrolet and the rest of GM has been doing with their lineup's, but the Trax is ironically already showing its age. The 1.4t I4 is anemic, the cabin materials are sub-par, and the exterior is downright hideous. Hopefully a new one is on its way because the Sub-Compact Crossover market is on the rise.

A sleek new exterior
An interior with quality
Best in class technology
1.0t eAssist I3 with 145HP and 160LB-FT (32 City and 48 Highway)
1.6t I4 with 200HP and 215LB-FT (26 City and 40 Highway)
