I bought band 6 2 years ago and battery is amazing. Plan to buy the band 8 for upgrade.
Good plan!
You should get a watch fit 2 i suggest it its really good
I have the band 6, was it worth to upgrade ?
Thanks for the review! I love how honest you are about it. 😊 I bought this Band 8 just yesterday because I’m really not that techy and only planning to use it to track my calories and other health features. And I also got it on sale! For only 27 USD (1,543 PHP). So I think it’s worth every penny! I’m from the Philippines btw. 😁 Thanks again for the honest review! ❤
Wow, for $27 this is a steal! Enjoy having it
Where did you buy itttt?
@@xyza547flash sale sya rn sa shopee for 1800 ends 12mn! I just bought

really good presentation!! Keep it up 👍
Thank you! Will do!
Hello, thank you for the video🤩🤩. I think I might have missed this, does it track calories burned while exercising at the gym? Doing cardio workouts?
Yes, they are being counted.
I got one and I really like it, the lack of automatic brightness is not a problem there is a setting to lower the brightness at sleeping hours, and the rest of the time I keep it at max with display always on.
I like the design, battery life is really good and the heartrate measures are pretty accurate, all that for 40€ on ali.
Only downside is that huawei is asking for a ton of permissions on your phone and personal information, but I'm guessing the other brands aren't much better. You also need to install a bunch of app to run the app, but at least the app is well made and I haven't seen any ads.
The thing with the permissions is quite common - the amount of requests is similar what most other brands will ask for too. Enjoy your tracker! ☺️
You can find a pretty decent fitness tracker for almost any price especially under 80 dollars while giving you what you need and also keeping the good battery life at the same time, despite compromising on all the bells and whistles
It is the software that matters, especially the smartphone app.
Hello! the route is recorded based on the phone GPS and when it autodetects the workouts? or only when we start the training manually?
You can only use the phone's GPS signal, correct. Also - there is workout auto detect feature.
Just subscribed, after watching your fit2 review. great quality content! I still have the fit2! (still great!) could you do a 1 year later on it thanks!
Thanks for the kind comment! I no longer have the bad around. Hoping that there will be a newer generation soon or later...
@@TechMishka No worries at all,Keep it up!
Thank you for the video! Do you know if i can use this watch to track calories (based on heart rate I assume?) without it being connected to my phone?
Yes you can.
@@TechMishkaokay thank you! I asked Huawei the same question and I got a really long answer without any "yes" or "no" lol
Is it only fit for Huawei phones? Is it possible to download Huawei Health on other brands? I have a Xiaomi Phone
Sure
This version of Huawei Health looks very clean. Can you share the installation package with me? Thank you so much
Just grab it from Huawei's website
Bought the vibrant orange one for 30 dollars. Waiting for it to arrive
Oh nice!
Will this huawei smart watch be easily link to Huawei matepad 11.5? Like a seamless connection
Not sure. Haven't tried it myself.
Huawei band 2 pro n band 3 pro r amazing... Cheap wt build in GPS ... Simple display n also monster battery life
Huawei is going backwards idk y
Yeah, glorious times!
I need an oem to make something exactly like this and put like 2GB storage and a music player
So you can leave your phone track your runs with Gps and listen to music as well
That would be awesome!
This
So nowadays it's hard to have a phone in your pocket? 200 ish grams tops is too heavy for you?
@@El_Goblino_ try running with one
@@Mainneli I already do it all the time I wear those shorts or sweatpants that have zip up pockets no issue at all
I'll stick with the Huawei Band 6 (which BTW, loops). I wanted to get the GW6 Classic but, it's inaccurate, so... Next year.
GW6 is not that inaccurate. Quite a good one so far. But yeah, the step forward is not that significant.
@@TechMishka It is, actually very inaccurate, according to a few videos I've seen, including the Quantified Scientist. Thing is, they are using the same old tech in an old (newish) design. Nothing's really changed except the Exynos, which isn't really making any difference. It's really ashame.
@@TechMishka for some exercises, like weigh lifting and calisthenics is very inaccurate. The GPS is somewhat.
I bought the Band 6 for my fiancee and she liked it despite no GPS. I think the 7 and 8 only had very minor improvement. For me... Amazfit all the way!! Haha
Totally agree
The amazfit has terrible health and sleep tracking though. The Huawei is comparable to the google pixel watch, galaxy watch and the garmin, if you watch "the quantified scientist" on youtube he tests them all his self and analyses the data.
They are very different about shape and size and the Active 3 has GPS in-built, which is a significant advantage. But costs more...
To track accuracy distance in running, need to start it on the app, to use the phones gps, or can be started on the band and just have the smartphone nearby?
It doesn't have an in built GPS, so you have to keep it connected to a smartphone in order to get accurate results
But once connected via bluetooth, can you start the running through the band, or is it always necessary to open it through the app on the smartphone? I saw some reviews that said that unlike Miband that the running can be started by the band, which in huawei would always have to be by the app...
wow nice I think I bought this.
Good choice!
Hi, is there a noticeable difference between the China version and the global version if I leave outside China? In terms of firmware update, which version get the most updates? Is it worth buying the new Huawei Band 9 over Band 8? Thanks
The differences are minor. Upgrading from 8 to 9 won't bring much of an improvement
I got my band 8 today and have a Huawei phone. I think I understand the widgets and app etc.
However, do i have to constantly have the watch connected to Bluetooth in order to link to the app? My battery is draining on my phone! App says device isnt connected if im not on Bluetooth.
The Bluetooth connection is not supposed to drain the battery
I'm an apple user. Will i lose out on some features because of the difference in platform? Will its app work on my phone without restrictions ?😅
There will be some restrictions such as access to most wathfaces. But overall it will be totally fine.
I have had 3 fitbits, all of which broke within 2 or 3 years. I need a reliable watch that has a vibrating alarm function for shiftwork. Also do you know if you can use it to control the music you are playing on spotify on your phone.
Actually looking at the Band 9 for purchace.
Thanks for your video!
I am expecting my Band 9 to arrive in the next days. These are pretty good.
@@TechMishka Are you going to do a review on the band 9 when it arrives? I know you said you weren't sure in the video.
The fit 2 looks so shiny and the added on wrist calls and music would be cool. I even like the idea of a calculator on my wrist. But I use Spotify, and don't plan to 'download' any music. The workout animations also look cool, but again, could get them off youtube so should i just save my money and be sensible?
Between mi banb 8 vs Huawei band8 which one is good for fitness tracking?
Both are excellent
Im thinking of getting this for Christmas but i cant decide if i should get the band 7 or 8? What do you think there is a $10 difference. I dont really need a perfect watch but im trying to lose weight and i wanna track steps
Both will be just fine - whichever has the better price.
The Band 8 model I use does not display skin temperature. Could this be because another Huawei watch you've used before has this feature, or does it actually have this feature? I couldn't open it because it doesn't support this feature.
Correct, these are old entries.
@@TechMishkaThank you
Does anyone know if the Huawei Band 8 lets you set/display the time and date in the UK format - dd/mmm? The Mi Band 8 does not.
Never seen this in the config options
Just bought mine today. I paired it with my iphone 13 but I'm not able to see quick replies. Is that feature not eligible on ios?
Hmm, most likely it is not available for IOS
So you don’t suggest buying it to track steps?
It is good about steps tracking too.
Can the outdoor cycling feature work on Android 10?
Yes
Another high quality review, Mihail! I totally understand why you're intending to distance yourself from Huawei. Since I've been doing fitness trackers for about 5 years in lieu of smart watches, I've been through at least a few iterations (while watching your reviews of most of them) of items from Huawei and Xiaomi, and have found Xiaomi the way to go. While I like the form factor of the Mi Band series, I like the Xiaomi Pro bands even better. The Redmi Band Pro has been quite nice for a year or two, but I think I'll be headed for the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro, next. As a U.S. resident, Huawei has ALWAYS burned me in the past, when it comes to accessibility of their watchface store, and that's just the tip of the iceberg with Huawei issues. Even without that problem, this review has confirmed that I can continue to ignore Huawei for the time being.
I also have the feeling that Xiaomi have grown stronger lately. Google are also improving with their wearables, although their prices are way too high.
As for Huawei... I probably should not comment in order to avoid any troubles in the future. This channel has always been about tech, and I do everything possible to stay away from politics, but having integrity and being fair while doing business is in my opinion part of the game and there are borders that should not be crossed.
@@TechMishka 👍💯
Can I use it to track deadlifts?
That I don't know...
@@TechMishka Thanks for your reply
I like this video
❤️❤️
It is great but no notifications from google maps which is a feature that used to exist a fewer generations ago. Quite sad
😞
would this be good for competitive swimmers to wear during practice?
Well, technically yes. But it doesn't have GPS, which is a drawback.
The drawback about Apple Watch comparing to Garmin Swim is not alowing to access information like intervals, heart beat and others, because to access those, you must unlock it, what is not practical. Could you please answer if Huawei Band 8 alows functionalities importantes for competitive swimmers while in practice? Thank you!
Any small wristband trackers that use wifi over bluetooth cuz my mi band kills my battery
Not that I am aware of...
Best fitness band...worth for the price
👍👍
Huawei Band 8 accurate detect with the pace and kilometres?
Yeah
Will it show Heartrate for the specific time- on App? Like I have set 24 hour Heart Rate Monitoring- in how many secs or minutes does it track Heart Rate? Every 1 min or in every 5 mins? And once it tracks- will I be able to check Heartrate at specific time- like at 4am?
You can configure it to get measures every 5, 10.or 30 minutes as far as I remember.
Thanks Bro. And Later I can go and check for the specific time, right?
Which one do you think it’s better? The xiaomi band 8 or huawei band 8?
This year - Xiaomi
You should review the amazfit bip 5 that just came out
The review is ready and will go live soon 🤓
Hi, thank you very much for the review. I was considering the purchase of it (£28 for unpacked, unused inclusive shipping) but I became concerned about the absence of GPS function. 😮 I posses Huawei Band 3 Pro which is still working well (having in nearly 5years) but it does have GPS. I'm not demanding on features but I'd expect GPS to be in all new fitness devices these days. So this finding is pretty shocking for me...or did I misunderstand?
The Huawei Health app on phone for tracking is a shit to my opinion. When my fitness band dies (it hardly lasts 4days because of its aging) and I wanted to track steps with the app in phone, it NEVER worked. So if I cannot rely on GPS in the Band 8 as it doesn't have it like you said, then I guess this is not the right device for me. 😢 I wanted to be loyal to Huawei because I'm very happy with the band 3 Pro working well for so long. Or would you wait for Band 9 if it's better?
Band 9.will not have GPS either. You can check the Mi Band 8 Pro though, pretty nice.
@@TechMishka thank you for your advice. 🙏 Yet, I don't like it's design to the start with...looking like a kids toy to me and the strap is impractical. I shall wait and seek for some when my current ones stop working.
Does it monitor blood pressure? NOT blood oxygen or heart rate. Thanks
It doesn't
I want to be able to track my runs accurately without having to take my phone with, which watches/trackers would you suggest?
Get a smartwatch with in-built GPS. Most of them are quite accurate.
Thanks, can the screen be turned off? For example when in bed the face continues to light up during the night when moving
You can disable the gestures.
huawei watch D have blood pressure monitoring and ECG
is it possible to increase the font size in messages?
Unfortunately not
So just checking, in order to used the "Huawei health" app, I gotta have a Huawei phone or tablet?
No need, it works with any smartphone
@@TechMishka I had a look at Googleplay store and was unable to find Huawei health app (Motorola G8 Power).
Doesn't matter as I end up buying Honor Band 7 instead cos it was on flash sales on Amazon (was £34 but up up to £47). That one used Honor Health app which my phone can find and install. Now waiting for that tracker to arrive.
I picked up mine 3 weeks ago and everything is great apart from walking on treadmill. The distance and pace are always super behind and it results in less calories burned. On average when I walk 3km the watch counts only 2,5km and the pace should be around 10,5 minutes but the watch says 13,3. After I’m done I always calibrate it but it doesn’t do anything and next day it’s wrong again. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
Unless they fix it with a firmware update, I don't see how this can be improved...
This or the new fit3 from Samsung? In terms of data accuracy?
Both are similarly good.
Can it be paired to Strava?
Nah ...
it doesn't display live step counting when you are running/walking in workout mode is crazy! Huawei need to fix this!!
Hmm, this is weird
Is it support nfc payments???
Nope
Main priority is heart rate tracking. Mi band 8 or this one?
Both will show similar results.
nice review keep it up!🎉
Thank you ☺️
Which according to you is comparatively good band currently
Huawei Band 9, Galaxy Band 3, Xiaomi Band 8
Is ir compatible for iphone
It is. With some app limitations
Should I get this or Mi band 8?
Depends on what do you care about more
Argh, that is a common question. This k about what you need in terms of features
Is this worth an upgrade from Honor Band 6?
Not that much
@@TechMishka thank you
Can i use this in golf?
Yup
Refresh rate on screen ,huawei band 8?
60Hz
Does this do blood pressure?
No!
Nope
Screen size and shape are much better than Xiaomi, you get ~20% more screen. Really would not mind if it was slightly bigger if it meant it can be thinner.
👍👍
Already have the Mi Band 8, I'm planning on also getting the Huawei Band 8 thanks to this review
Interesting to see which one you will keep afterwards 😊
With its price of 30$ it's just a killer of everything.
With exception for Mi Band I guess ☺️
how to measure bloodpressure
You can't do it with this tracker.
Is it working on apple and android??
Yes, on both
@@TechMishka whats the app called in Play Store , i cannot find it when searching for “Huawei Health”
How accurate is it for run tracking? Hehe
It has no GPS... So - not that much
Does the watch sync with your phone gps? @@TechMishka
Is this really a narrow version of the Watch Fit 2?
Yeah, almost. Without GPS though.
this price is insane! I have the band 6 and works really well, cant find a reason to change yet. so ill save some $$ but ill def buy another band at some point
👍👍
@@TechMishka7⁰
how does this compare with xiaomi mi band 8 pro?
This one has no GPS
I still use my Huawei band 3 pro and I'm very happy with it. It has gps and does everything I want it to do. Old but gold 😁
This remains one of the best ever fitness trackers. Keep rocking!
Battery life is over a week !
Compared to Apple sht watch of less than a day !
True that.
has someone used the band 8 while swimming? how was it after? tia! :)
My son has - and he was happy with the measurements. I cannot say how accurate they were though...
your shirt is better than the watch 😂
For sure! 😊😊😊
Which is better? Huawei Band 8 or Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Active??
Band 8 is superior.
"twice less" = "half the amount" :p
Thanks for the tip, appreciated.
I want precise tracking which is better
This one is good about health tracking
Are this watch good for people that always fainting?
That I am not sure about. Might help in some cases, but I am not qualified to give a proper statement.
The heart rate tracking is better on this than the band 7 and the band 6
👍👍
Do you need a huawei phone for it?
No. Works with all kinds of phones
huawei band 8 or redmi watch 3 active?
😂 i choose between this two watches too) I think if if you need accurate data from sensors, this is the job for the Huawei Band 8, and if you need the ability to answer calls using the phone, then choose the watch 3 active. This is my opinion after watching dozens of videos about these two watches/fitness bands
Both are a spot on. I'd evaluate the smartphone apps and get the ono which has an app that I like more.
@@TechMishka no, active like all xiaomi has bad sensor
It's from a Chinese company, I am afraid of data safety. I am sure many of you also have this doubt. I want to know more about this. Can someone give your inputs?
Well... If you are afraid of bears ... ☺️
Your data is never safe. If you use Samsung/Apple/etc. you will give it to them and they share it. Even the competitors share your data between each other (I read the terms of use).
Is there really no sound? Just vibrations?
Correct
Does huawei band 8 has integrated GPS in it?
It doesn't
How to use calculator on the watch
Does this one have such?
Can it be paired to strava..
Huawei Health already has integration to Strava, yeah
Mi band 8 Chinese or , Huawei band 8???
Both are excellent trackers.

Nah, it is fine. I have a condition on my skin which sometimes makes it look worse and misinterpret some swipes.

Huawei band 9 when ?NFC ??will still have the Same Problems as 8 ,overhitting after 1 min in the Sun??
Hmm, can you point to a more detailed explanation of this issue?
@@TechMishka ofc ,so I ve been using Huawei bands since model 5 and I have never had this problem with any of the past models as the newest model band8! issue will be in the Summer , after 2 -3 minutes I get this message, your device is overheating and 2 minutes later is shutting down ofc ..
My band 7 doesn't have so much your 8 does tho 😓😢

yes but compared to Xiaomi it looks more masculine which is a big plus. Xiaomi is too feminine on a men's wrist.
Sounds fair.
I don't like the Xiaomi looks too.
