  • Did you know that there’s an overlap in the risk factors for heart attack and Alzheimer’s? And that means you can decrease your risk for one by decreasing your risk for the other. In this video, I’ll explain why there’s an overlap in the risk factors for these two diseases, and explain why you can prevent Alzheimer’s by decreasing your risk for heart attack.

Thank you 😊. I just found your videos. Watching them all while recovering from a recent foot fracture. I had a complete hysterectomy (ovaries removed) 7 years ago at age 52. Doctor said I didn’t need HRT. So worried about all the increased health risks from lack of estrogen. Wish I had all your wonderful information 7 years ago.

For someone who doesn't care for ball caps you look really cute. I pull off the look well. I have to managing extreme light sensitivity my entire life but as a trade off I have good night vision. Meow. I do want to go back and watch the heart videos in order. It's very helpful when so many options work for more than one thing. Some things I use for thyroid support work for menopause except for the weird body temperature stuff. My darling beagle and I had a very similar diet during her last wonderful year with us as I began this menopause education. I also see a lot of overlap.in the advocacy work I do for compassionate systemic change and harm reduction. It's all really cool.

I understand from the video you did with Dominique S, that you are in France. I live in France and was wondering if you had a gynecologist collègues in France that you could recommend. Having so much difficulties finding one that has the same outlook on menopause that you do.
You are so great at explaining and providing answers. Thank you for your videos

Never ask another person for a referral to a doctor ... especially when it comes to menopause. Finding the right menopause doctor is like finding a good husband. Menopause lasts for the rest of your life. So, your menopause doctor is, quite literally, the person with whom you will grow old.
So, if you want me to school you on precisely how to find the right doctor FOR YOU, schedule a consultation with me at MenopauseTaylor.ME, and I will give you all the tools with which to find whatever YOU want in a doctor.

Thank you so so so much for what you do! I have learned more than I ever thought I needed to learn and I am advertising you to my best friend and two sister-in-laws who are all just a few years younger than me and getting close to menopause age. I have a question about your worksheet, though. You skipped the three female cancers - breast, uterine and ovarian in your worksheet. Will you be coming back to them after these Alzheimers lessons? I'm hoping you will because I seem to have a lot of risk factors for ovarian cancer and would like to know more from your perspective.

After Alzheimer's, I'll give you a unit on the similarities & differences on these 3 big disease that I will have covered until then: Heart Attack, Osteoporosis, & Alzheimer's (28 videos).
Then, I'll give you a unit on Cancer in General (10 videos).
After that, will be a unit on Endometrial Uterine Cancer (20 videos), followed by a unit on Cervical Cancer (15 videos).
Then it's on to Breast Cancer (54 videos).
      After that, Ovarian Cancer
If you're wondering why I know how many for each, it's because I'm always about 2 years ahead of what you see published on YOuTube. So I've already completed all the videos before the Breast Cancer unit and am preparing to start shooting the Breast Cancer unit.
      I'm a planner!

I am 43 g old and I am in menopause, but I don't have any menopause simptomes, just some mild one like dry skin and few hot flashes for few weeks. I asked my OB about taking hormones to prevent osteoporosis and other serious condition, but was told I should not take any hormones for prevention. So am I not a good candidate for hormone therapy because I do not have any menopause simptomes? Please advise. Thank you!

They won't prescribe HRT for the long-term diseases BUT they will prescribe it when you say that you can't function because of your terrible hot flashes and night sweats and therefore lack of sleep etc. It's for your long-term health, so then you're allowed a little white lie and certainly if it's because you're better informed than your ob. (who only get's about an hour of menopauze education at university so it's not their fault either, it's the system) I'm 55 turning 56, post-menopausal and on HRT. Greetings from Belgium.

I’m so sorry, could you just answer generally, if someone wants to go on HRT but has has a uterus, what progesterone options are best in your opinion to protect the uterus with the least side effects? I don’t want an IUD so would it be vaginal cream or micronised progesterone pill? The pill causes fatigue though doesn’t it? So perhaps vaginal cream? Sorry the brain fog makes me forget all you have said over these videos but is there a progesterone gel or cream to put on arm to protect uterus as this would be the easiest option for me?

@@smileygirl1742 Most doctors know nothing about menopause. That's why I offer consultations. And I have consultations with doctors all the time! They know as little about menopause as non-medical women.
When I say that menopause is THEE most neglected topic on Earth, I really mean it.
There is no education whatsoever on menopause in medical school. In four-year OB/GYN residency programs, less than 1% of the time is devoted to menopause. So most doctors know none of the stuff I teach you.
Here on UA-cam, I give you the equivalent of:
      • A four-year pre-medical undergraduate education
      • A four-year medical school education
      • A four-year OB/GYN residency education
      • A three-year menopause fellowship education
If you ever have a consultation with me, the tailored document I send you in advance of the consultation will put you in a situation of knowing 90% more than doctors.
I am the first and only person on Earth to ever give women an education on menopause.

Could you provide me with a link to your videos on the different types of progesterone simply to prevent cancer of the uterus whilst taking oestrogen? I cannot find it! Or could you tell me the side effects of the micronised progesterone pill and the uterine progesterone cream? I think I will take one or the other, I just cannot remember what you have said about the side effects of each? I will be going for oestrogen gel to rub on my arm. Did you say there is is progesterone gel for the arm? Would this protect against uterine cancer whilst taking oestrogen? I don’t wish to use an IUD. Thanks.

@@smileygirl1742 I present information on progesterone in many different videos in many different units. Each video pertains to one topic. Unlike a marketer, who presents one product in isolation, I present progesterone as it fits into each topic.
