I never thought of getting ones for my fruits & veggies too. That plastic lining on the bottom is so important to keep the moisture away from the berries which will make them last longer. You inspired me to get containers to clean up & organize my shelves in the garage where I keep extra food, cleaning products & toiletries. It’s going to be a big project & I’m going to film it. That way I know everything I wanna do when I get my house instead of having 50 different projects because I saw videos like these later and want to try them. I'm not sure if someone has commented on extending the life of your produce so here's the main rule: Store foods at home like they are in the grocery store *Bananas should be stored separate from other fruit, due to bananas giving off a gas that causes other fruits to ripen very quickly. *All citrus fruits should be refrigerated *Tomatoes, Apples, and Avocados should be stored on the counter. **I buy avocados in bulk & learned to keep 1-2 on the counter and by refrigerating the remaining it pauses the ripening process. *Potatoes, onions, & garlic should be stored in a relatively dark, cool space but not in the same ventilated container or basket. *Lettuce is best left on the core, rinsed, drained, wrapped in a damp paper towel and put in a plastic bag left open *Cilantro & Parsley should be rinsed, gently shaken to remove excess water, and stored in a jar/glass with water and then tented with a plastic bag (I generally rinse & reuse the same produce bag I brought it home in). Some tips never refrigerate tomatoes they lose their flavor never wash berries before storing them or they will rot and if you keep those greens in the refrigerator with no cover they will wilt

I’m glad they eat more fruits rather than unhealthy snacks. I only clean strawberries when it’s time to consume. I soak them in vinegar water, rinse and drain dry on towel. Store them in container like yours. Recently I use up leftover blueberries in pancakes before they turn bad. I hate to waste food. I like the huge middle drawer of your fridge, I will dedicate it as veggie drawer. Someone commented about you should have an island, I think the empty space is better for the eyes. I prefer long alley kitchen like the old days.

I use fresh paper for fruit and veggies and fresh paper for breads order from Amazon. Saw 2 other youtubers use them and I ordered them to try and been loving them every since
I have a little boy as well and I use the middle drawer for his snacks as well. Try double stacking the juices and put his applesauce squeeze and fruit cups in that drawer and the fruit containers should fit as well

I absolutely love this! New sub here… just a tip.. when I clean my fruits and vegetables, I put them in a salad spinner to dry them because the water and the temperature inside can make it wilt faster. 😉
I really enjoyed your video. I was going to mention if you turn your fruit cups sideways. you could fit more of them in your storage container in the refrigerator.😃
Also I have a food sealer as well, that extends the shelf life of food too! I freeze some things and leave some out. Because although some may have a large family. I see so many buying so much food. And some things might get thrown out just like she said. I buy on an as needed basis. Maybe you can put the expiration on the eggs, since it’s a lot lol. You can write the expiration with an erasable marker. Like cheeses and and meats, I sealed them because oxygen and ethylene gas is the culprit creeping in the fridge 😁
I use Apple Cider Vinegar and salt to wash my produce especially fruits. Last long and also it cleans it really well. My twins always ask for fruits and veggie to snack on.
I like those containers you got for your frig! I need to get a few of those. The pantry looks great too. Watched in full. Always nice to watch your vids!
I wash my carrots, celery then scrub them with a vegetable brush. Then I place each item in its own container, fill it with water. I date the containers and change the water weekly. They last a long time. Cilantro, parsley I cut a bit of the stem and place them in a jar with water and place a plastic bag over them. Again lasts a while. I don’t wash until I use. My kale, spinach and lettuce I wash and then place them in my salad spinner then place each in its own container lined with bamboo napkins or bamboo towels and then place a few kale leaves then place another towel until finished. Tomatoes I place on counter without washing until ready to use. If you refrigerate they will go bad quickly. Hope this helps

Cleaning soaking strawberries in vinager & cold water makes them last longer ...
We wrap the vegetables in newspaper or paper towels individually. Not glossy paper. It soaks the moisture and keeps the veg longer.

To store celery. Cut the bottom, get rid of the stuff you don’t use, wash dry and put in Foil wrap in veggie draw. Lasts a LONG time

I absolutely love this! New sub here… just a tip.. when I clean my fruits and vegetables, I put them in a salad spinner to dry them because the water and the temperature inside can make it wilt faster. 😉

Also I have a food sealer as well, that extends the shelf life of food too! I freeze some things and leave some out. Because although some may have a large family. I see so many buying so much food. And some things might get thrown out just like she said. I buy on an as needed basis. Maybe you can put the expiration on the eggs, since it’s a lot lol. You can write the expiration with an erasable marker. Like cheeses and and meats, I sealed them because oxygen and ethylene gas is the culprit creeping in the fridge 😁

I use Apple Cider Vinegar and salt to wash my produce especially fruits. Last long and also it cleans it really well. My twins always ask for fruits and veggie to snack on.

I wash my carrots, celery then scrub them with a vegetable brush. Then I place each item in its own container, fill it with water. I date the containers and change the water weekly. They last a long time.
Cilantro, parsley I cut a bit of the stem and place them in a jar with water and place a plastic bag over them. Again lasts a while. I don’t wash until I use.
My kale, spinach and lettuce I wash and then place them in my salad spinner then place each in its own container lined with bamboo napkins or bamboo towels and then place a few kale leaves then place another towel until finished.
Tomatoes I place on counter without washing until ready to use. If you refrigerate they will go bad quickly.
